Paradise Cove, Yasawa Islands, Fiji||We returned to Paradise Cove, three years after our last stay. ||Prior to that we have been several times with our teenage children.||To get to the island we travelled on the new resort boat Finno Kai. This left from Vuda Marina with its 1500 HP motors. Future departures and arrivals are at Naisiso Marina, a bit closer to Nadi airport. It's a Marina under development but you can see with time there will be more facilities there (such as toilets etc). From the Marina to Paradise Cove takes an hour in calm seas. |The boat team are very safety conscious and give a thorough briefing before taking off.||We received the traditional warm welcome and refresher on what had changed at the resort. Some of the staff remembered us from our earlier stays-this is so special. ||We were very spoilt and received an accommodation upgrade to the Paradise Suite. ||This was mind-blowing-so beautiful! |Beachfront, private, reserved beach loungers, plunge pool, multiple outdoor seating areas, beautiful bed, large lounge area, a Nespresso coffee machine and a very large, luxurious and lush outdoor bathroom - everything you could dream of and more. ||We dined at the main Black Rock Restaurant for all meals. The food was great and plentiful. The addition of a barista coffee at breakfast is a welcome addition. The table service was amazing at all meals. At night the area looks stunning with lights hanging across the main pool to the restaurant area. ||All the areas linking the accommodation and pools are now board walked. The tropical gardens have grown to been more lush especially in the Cove area. It’s stunning. ||We still enjoy the walk to Sunset Point and beyond to the other side of the island, about 6km return and a safe wide track until it narrows on descent to the beach at other (non resort) end. |There is also a gym for those who want to stay active. ||The snorkelling blew me away. It was previously very good. Now in a different area to where we use to snorkel, the house reef near the inflatable slide is full of lots of many different varieties of fish and amazing coral growth and varieties also. Definitely worth taking a look, especially on high/incoming tide even if there is a little wind around. ||Paradise Cove is very hard to fault. The team truly make this resort special on top of its well maintained facilities, gardens and accommodation options. It’s very hard to say goodbye.
