Where to Stay in Sequoia National Park 2024: Hotels & More Stays | Condé Nast Traveler

"With its four Scandinavian-designed ÖÖD tiny homes and five gorgeous bell tents, Paradise Ranch truly stands out as a modern but off-grid escape. Tucked away on 50 private acres near Three Rivers, just outside Sequoia’s southern entrance, the adults-only property embodies indoor-outdoor living with a wood sauna, redwood yoga decks, swimming holes, a fœlleshuset (“together house”), and communal fire pits. The mirrored tiny cabins offer fabulous views and truly impressive amenities, like cedar hot tubs, heated floors, StarLink internet, and kitchenettes." - Emily Pennington

We had a wonderful stay at Paradise Ranch Inn and truly wish we had more time — one day is not enough. We stayed in a mirror house, which was a very unique and private experience. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed, including a kitchen and cooking setup. You can also buy products on-site to cook, which is very convenient. The Wi-Fi worked well during our stay, which was a nice surprise for a nature-focused location. The territory is huge, with river access, beaches, gym, spa house, and a sauna (the sauna needs to be scheduled on-site). There are plenty of places to relax and spend time outdoors. The road to the property is manageable — we drove there in a Tesla without any issues. Great location near Sequoia National Park. Overall, it’s a beautiful place to disconnect, enjoy nature, and still stay comfortable. We would definitely come back.

This is hell, not a paradise! I cannot believe what I just experienced. I paid for a house, but the owner lives in that house wha I booked and had the audacity to give us a tiny, dark, inferior place with a view of a toilet. While his terrace was fully lit and comfortable, ours was pitch black, wet, and miserable. He even went out and cooked on the grill that was supposed to be ours, while we struggled in the dark. The owner was rude, gaslighting, and completely indifferent to guests. I have never seen such shameless behavior from anyone claiming to run a business. This place is not worth $100, let alone what we paid. There are countless better options around, do not waste your money or time here.

We booked this place a month in advance. One day before arrival, the host sent a brief message that we’d be in a different unit, without any details or a link. When we arrived in the evening during a heavy rainstorm, we discovered the host was actually living in the house we had paid for. He was extremely rude and told us we’d stay in a much worse cabin next door. We watched him using all the amenities we had paid for while we had no lighting, had to use our phone flashlights, and dealt with a poorly lit, uncomfortable cabin. He even blamed us for not finding things and refused to let us change units, claiming we should be grateful. He was aggressive, and we felt unsafe, especially in the mountains at night. Overall, it was a stressful and unfair experience, and we had to leave early. We cannot recommend this place.

My husband and I were here Sept. 24-27. We were so excited to finally get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. We arrived in good time. Early enough to meet our neighbors. Such nice people from Virginia and to our surprise we met Kenneth. Nicest guy ever. Shared some stories over the fire pit. Beautiful serene night. Just like PARADISE. This establishment is truly a great places to visit. My husband and I realized on the drive back home that we didn’t even think about work. I believe it was because we truly looked forward to the outdoor activities at the ranch. Such as the out door cooking, going to the river right outside your glass house, hiking at the ranch, and at the Sequoia National Park. Which made it a great escape for us. Also, looking forward to jumping into the jacuzzi at night overlooking the river. There is more to say, I can go on…but Overall, I will leave it at this. It is a place that is recommended for the experience. Thank you Kenneth

Had truly the most magical, romantic, and relaxing time at paradise ranch. I was in desperate need of a rest and reset in between tours and me and my boyfriend came for an off the grid and into nature vacay together to have some quality r&r time to do just that. Our room was stunning, the sunsets and sunrises through the glass cabin were breathtaking. Not to mention we got so lucky as to view the full moon rise through the sun roof. Cooking and eating outside was made so easy thanks to the incredible outdoor setup and amenities that come with the cabin. The cold river and sauna combo was truly exhilarating. Next time I need another pause from my busy life, or a breath of newfound inspiration I will absolutely be returning to share yet another dream here.

One of the most magical spots I’ve visited. As a lifelong resident of the Sierra’s I was blown away by the beauty of the mountains, river and granite formations. Seeing the mountains at night during a full moon was riveting, the full view of nature with the skylight will be with me forever. A work of design genius. The determination, taste and hard work on Kenneth’s is evident throughout.

This place is absolutely magical. We loved our stay in the liberated tent. The location is truly incredible and a true oasis in just a few hours distance from LA. We spent a night here on our way to Sequoia and can't wait to return. Kenneth really has a vision with this place.. and he is an attentive and kind host of this property. It was a pleasure corresponding with him! Thanks again for a lovely stay. Highly recommend staying at paradise ranch inn for a memorable and beautiful experience in nature. It's worth it!!!
