Paradise Shores is a great and well fitting name for the place Peter and Kate, along with their staff, have created. We got to enjoy our stay in one of their dry-camping/tent spots. When they say they want us to feel at home when you stay at their campsite, they mean it and you feel it. From the moment you arrive at Paradise Shores you can tell there is a lot of love and labor poured into the property. We were greeted with a smile and a willingness to make sure we were ok. Everything is clean, organized, and welcoming. During our stay, the bathrooms/showers were always clean, fully stocked, and always working. The laundry room was also very nicely kept and available when we needed it. The spot we camped in was clean and ready for us when we arrived. We got to enjoy their picnic table and fire pit in our own site, BUT there was also a communal area equipped with chairs around a bonfire pit overlooking the mountains and lake, along with some picnic tables, a sink, a grill, a stove, and any utensils for cleaning and cooking that you may have needed or forgotten to bring. Also, everyone else that was there at the time of our stay was very friendly, and I think a lot of it had to do with how wonderful being there made us all feel. We really enjoyed our time and we hope to back and soon. If and when you decide to camp at Paradise Shores, I hope your stay is as wonderful as ours. Thank you Peter, Kate, and staff! (Here are a couple of pictures of the two sunsets we enjoyed during our stay.)

Google
I cont comment on the rooms as I was at a tent site. Beautiful location just outside of town. Clean and affordable. One of the highlights, and this is going to sound strange, was the bathroom! Super clean, nice hot showers, and they even had Q-Tips and razor available if you needed them. I’ll definitely be back. Thanks guys for a great experience!!

Google
This is a gem of an RV park. Located right on the shore of Bridgeport Reservoir and only a 10 minute drive from downtown Bridgeport. Especially great for tent campers. Nice washing station for dishes, cook station and fire pit. The park also has kayaks and SUPs to use.

Beautiful views!! Lauren and brian were great hosts. Very kind and helpful. Great vibes with inspirational quotes as decor everywhere. This was the perfect place to land after the burn. Grateful for a safe, clean, happy place to stay, clean and get organized to continue our road trip.

Google
The camp facilities are the cleanest we’ve ever stayed at. The camp hosts, Lauren and Brian, were amazing. Brian overheard me saying our daughter’s bike tires needed more air and he appeared with a portable compressor and helped her fill the tires. They went out of their way to ensure there was a campfire for us to make s’mores every night. We will definitely be back!

Google
We rented an RV and a tent site for our extended family. The sites weren’t close but that was not an issue. There is some road noise . However, we thought that the park is well maintained and the hosts are thoughtful. Everything is very clean. We also appreciated the extra firewood, charcoal, and laundry soap for sale via PayPal. The flowers around the park are gorgeous.

Google
Had a great long weekend vacation at this spot and it was a pleasant experience. The trailer was great, great service, and clean facilities. It was a very short drive from downtown Bridgeport, hot springs, Twin Lakes, and other great natural features that comprise the Eastern Sierras.

Google
Very nice, quiet, well-maintained RV park, with beautiful views of the Walker River playa. The showers are very clean, and supplied with soap. There are facilities I didn’t use like a barbecue area with gazebo. Dave is a very friendly host. Recommended!

Yelp
Paradise Shores RV Park is an absolute treasure! The layout is great, there's lots of space to maneuver, the hosts are friendly and helpful, the camp spots have everything you need. Even the tent spots are really nice. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with gorgeous flowers and colorful plants everywhere. There are beautiful aspen trees all around, which are nice to look at and listen to when the gentle afternoon breeze picks up. They have laundry facilities available, which we did not use. There are communal gathering areas with bbqs, fire pits, a dish washing station, and lots of seating. The campground sits on the shores of the Bridgeport Reservoir. There were lots of birds flying around eating the bugs after a lake fly (non biting) hatch. There were a few chipmunks running around, and they were not interested in us at all. BEST BONUS: THE BATHROOMS! These are the nicest camp bathrooms I've ever seen. They feel like fancy country club bathrooms, the only thing missing is an attendant with cologne bottles and a tip jar. There are cotton balls, q-tips, lotions, air fresheners, disposable razors, a hair dryer (at least in the women's), and nice folded paper towels in cute baskets. There was a shower chair available if needed. The showers are amazing with gorgeous tilework, beautiful shower curtains, bamboo mats, etc. There's a step stool for kiddos to reach the sink as well as a chair for...well, I don't know. I've never had a bathroom with a chair before! Did I mention hot water and impressive water pressure? You will not be disappointed, I promise. We plan on visiting again soon!

Yelp
Great location, friendly staff, gorgeous sunset view. Arrived last minute and got a great spot for campervan. Amazingly clean bathrooms!

Yelp
We stayed here for the 4th of July week and it was such a great experience! The camp host were very friendly and helpful! The facilities are kept very clean, including their bathrooms. I would def recommend this place and will be returning!

Yelp
Beautiful Campground with excellent staff, super friendly and helpful with things to do in Bridgeport. We highly recommend this wonderful campground!

Andrew N.

Yelp
The site given to us had the picnic table right next to a rentable trailer dump. There was no other space in the campsite to move the picnic table unless we put it in the street. Absolutly disgusting. How can you have a site that I would be tripping over the sewer in order to cook or eat. I was so disgusted that we couldn't wait to leave the next day even though we had reservations for an additional night. I wouldn't be suprised if this is breaking health codes. We asked to be moved to another site but were told no. The bathroom is the only saving grace to this campsite. It was clean with wonderful amenties. I would rather eat in the bathroom than in my campsite.

David L.

Yelp
Hands down 5 star campsite. Staff was very friendly & accommodating. Clean cute bathrooms and showers, towels if needed, and laundry on site. Highly recommend staying at this campsite! I will definitely be back.

Yelp
This is without a doubt the best place I have ever camped. They have a nice clean bathroom with all the amenities you would not even find in a hotel. There js an outdoor kitchen with a weber charcoal grill, camp chef stove and sink and utensils and soap to clean up. There is also a fish cleaning station. It is a small place and intimate just a great relaxed environment. The fishing has been excellent which makes it fun but tiring after cleaning and cooking them Best of all were the camp hosts. Ed and Christy who were the most accommodating and gracious hosts I have ev5er encountered and I have travelled a LOT. Anything I needed was done efficiently and with a smile no questions asked. They made my stay the best camping vacation ever. Thank you for your professionalism and competency it is much appreciated.

Yelp
The facilities were extremely clean, convenient & easy RV hook-ups. Close to water to sit by the shore and bird watch. Only 1.5 miles to town of Bridgeport & 8-miles to Sweetwater. OHV roads are very close, too. We'll be back for sure.

Yelp
We stayed at Paradise Shores Camp for 3 nights my father-in-law's birthday celebration and we had a blast! You can rent one of the RVs to stay in, bring your own RV/Trailer/Versatile Van or reserve a spot to tent camp so there is something for everyone. Our group did a little bit of all of those options. Myself and my fiancé stayed in the Baja RV with my brother-in-law and nephew and loved it! It was so cute and had everything we needed for the weekend to cook all of our meals. Our site came with outdoor chairs, a picnic bench and a patio chiminea to use since it got chilly at night. The group who was camping used the campground restrooms and they were really nice and clean. I don't think I've ever seen bathrooms and showers look so nice at a camp site! There were also public grills and a group fire pit available for use for anyone at the campground. The park is right next to the lake and they offer paddle boards and kayaks to be used by anyone staying there. We would definitely recommend Paradise Shores Camp and will likely be back ourselves in the future!

Pete R.

Yelp
We stayed here w/o a reservation but they were very willing to accommodate us. We had plans to stay at a nearby RV park that had terrible sites and worse attitudes so we (3 couples) left in search of a better place and this checked all our boxes. The office is in a cool vintage trailer and has free movies, books, and flyers on local attractions. I used the laundry, showers, and stand-up paddle board (free). There were even more amenities and a great vibe. I'd go back because of the helpful hosts and it's a nice park in a convenient location. Plus, they even offer actual recycling containers and that's important to me.

Yelp
This is where I choose to celebrate a milestone birthday during a pandemic. So glad that I was able to escape from everything. We live in the Bay Area and have fallen in love with the Eastern Sierras over the past few years. Thank goodness the Sonora Pass was open and it was a go for us. Something I've always wanted to do, was camp inside an Airstream. At Paradise Shores I was able to do this. It is required that you book a 4 night minimum stay. At first I wasn't too happy about that, but after doing it, it was just the right amount. Prices aren't skyrocket high. I was more worried about getting time off from work. After doing the long drive, it's a relief to have a place to call home. Our unit didn't have a toilet or shower. We had to use the communal facility, which happen to be locked with a number code and extremely clean. Walking at night I could see the stars in the sky, wouldn't have seen that if I use a bathroom inside. The many perks for staying here is the walking distance to the lake. Where they allow you to use as a guest their kayaks, standup paddle boards, or paddle boat. Downtown Bridgeport is about 5 minutes down the road. Mono Lake is half an hour. Bodie is 15 minutes away. Mammoth Village is one hour away. Twin Lakes was about 20 minutes? So much to do in this magical area. I would consider staying here again and highly recommend others to give it a try and relax.

Yelp
This review is long overdue, as I stayed at Paradise Shores Camp years ago. I stayed here with a large group of friends and we did tent camping. Unlike most campgrounds at State Parks where there's a high possibility of sleeping on a rock or an incline, the tent sites here were well-groomed, clean and spacious. The community bathrooms here were really well-maintained. If you're bringing along friends who have never gone camping before, they're going to have a good time using the facilities here. It gets extremely windy and cold here at night, so be sure to check the weather forecast and pack accordingly so you can sleep well at night. Be sure to stake down your tent as well. If you find yourself in this area, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying at Paradise Shores.

Yelp
We just had a lovely visit here last week. The sites are pretty small and very close together but those are the only downsides. The location is great and being right next to the beautiful Bridgeport Reservoir is a definite plus. The hosts are very present and do a fantastic job of maintaining the campground in perfect condition. The bathrooms were spotless with no added charge for showers and were well stocked with more amenities than a nice hotel. They also have full hookups, great wi-fi, a fire pit and a perfect bbq set-up down by the water. Cell coverage can be a bit spotty but it's the Sierras!Mono Lake, Bodie, Lee Vining and Mammoth are close by.

Bob S.

Yelp
This is a very nice RV park. What sets it above all others is the. people. They are so accommodating! Bathrooms are clean and open. Lake shore to launch your kayak. They even provide you a kayak free. Most friendly people I have met at any RV park!

Yelp
Ok, let's start with the positives, shall we? this is a really cute little park. Let me repeat that: little. It is really well maintained, and the managers (Curtis and Dawn) are very attentive to their guests needs. It starts when you pull in and they greet you in your vehicle. There were a few other campers checking in when we arrived, but Dawn came out to our truck to welcome us, give us a map, the general camp information, pointed out where our site was. Warm welcome indeed. Curtis and Dawn walked around the camp making sure everyone was getting settled in and assisting in the process where they could. They continued to walk around and check up on campers throughout the weekend. Hats off to them! The amenities include a communal outdoor kitchen as well as CLEAN restrooms, CLEAN showers and a small, but CLEAN laundry room. There is a boat launch ramp, and the camp provides (free) paddleboards to the campers. Also, this camp has THE BEST wi-fi of any park we stayed in on our 39-day trip. I was told it was "gigabyte speed". The park is in a good location with access to fishing, boating, hiking, Bodie and Yosemite. Thats the good, now for the not so good: I mentioned it was little... but to be fair, it was built when camping trailers were much smaller. We have a 28' trailer and had some issues actually getting backed into our site. Once we were backed in and settled, there was no room for the truck in the site so we (along with most other "campers"), had to park across the front of the site. That pretty much blocked the view in that direction as well as making the drive thru the camp pretty narrow. We were told that we could park the truck in another area of the park, but we need access to items in the truck that made the parking alternative inconvenient. I think the alternative parking was packed most of the weekend anyway. Our slide outs were right at the edge of our site and when we put out the awning (the only shade available in most sites), it was nearly touching our neighbor's trailer. We needed the shade while we were there as it was in the 96-100-degree range for our entire stay. Every site was like that, so you really don't have ANY privacy unless you hide in the trailer with the shades pulled down. With everyone packed in that tight, the noise level was a bit irritating at times. To be fair, it did quiet down at 10 PM most evenings, but started picking up around 6 AM most mornings. There was no room to BBQ or have a campfire in your campsite unless you wanted to smoke out your camp as well as the neighbors to either side and behind your camp. To sum up: would I stay there again? NO. I suppose it would be OK for an overnight stop if you were passing thru the area, but it just didn't work for us.

Yelp
Wow ! Blown away at the beauty of this park we enjoyed our 1 day stay as we drove up north this was by far the best park we had ever stayed at so quaint and small yet you aren't piled in on top of each other like other RV parks pack you in to spots to save room. It rained while we were there and was just such a nice spot to stay we definitely will return !

Yelp
This place is absolutely fantastic. We appreciated how well kept the campground is. Also whoever the Gardner is does a great job with the lovely flowers! The check in area is so cute. Great views of the reservoir from the sites and a very short walk down to the beach. We love that this place is dog friendly and has a off leash dog area because that's what our dogs love doing the most- running like crazy off leash. They also get some great sunsets! We were lucky to see a couple even with the smoke from the nearby fires. The dog wash station was so convenient. We didn't use the paddle boards or kayaks free for guest use this time but hopefully next time! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Hipcamp!!! We love this beautiful camping spot for all of its lovely amenities and comforts on the shore of Bridgeport Reservoir and the real generous spirit of the facilities' management that go the extra mile to ensure a great stay. Campsites are well-appointed and roomy for tents and gear and the bathrooms are SUPER clean and well-stocked. Even got rescued! My truck got stuck in the lake mud (launching my boat) at 8pm and the managers scrambled with a winch and 4WD!!! Unbelievable effort to save us and get us back to relaxing!!!! We'll be back!!!!

Yelp
The staff was very friendly. They have a great common outdoor kitchen area, fire pit area. Nice beach area to lake. In bathroom's Ladies shower needs new shower head in both stalls, but offers shampoos soap blow dryer. Hubby said men's had 1 good shower head and 1 bad one. Overall not fancy but was very quiet and at night the sky is magnificent. Was easy driveway access to enter and exit.

Arlene G.

Yelp
The hosts were top notch! Very helpful. But the campsites were awful. Packed together on very sharp rock. Our door literally opened into our neighbors step. Jammed in. We left a day early and headed to a much nicer campground. Would not come back to this place.

Molly N.

Yelp
This was the best RV park I've ever stayed at. Camp hosts were so nice and helpful. The camp has kayaks and paddle boards that the campers can take out whenever. The bathrooms are very clean with fully stocked showers and other products. (Hair dryer, lotion, etc.) The reservoir is beautiful and water is warm. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Breathtaking views of the mountains, sunsets over the reservoir, & amazing fishing. Full hookups for trailers and RVs and also a few cute tent sites along the water with homemade palm umbrella shading. Wifi throughout all of the sites (which is great because there is no cellular service). Clean bathrooms with hot water showers, soap, shampoo, and conditioner as well as other nice amenities like q-tips, hairdryers, lotion, step-stools for the kids, etc. If you want to see what the RV life could be like, rent one of their permanent RVs with built-in decks, fire pits, and other luxuries. I saw one of the RV rentals was an Airstream, which would be fun to check out. Lots of little community areas including a nice outdoor kitchen and dining area and a sandpit for the kids made out of an old boat. Just a short walk to the beach of the reservoir. Saw a few people out there in kayaks fishing at sunset. They have free kayaks and paddle-boards for guests to borrow. A close drive to the historic ghost-town of Bodie and also beautiful alpine lakes. Was a nice stop on our way home from Mammoth Lakes.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful end of season stay. We went for the final weekend of 2021 and had a wonderful time with great and accommodating hosts. Our plans had to change twice so we ended up only being there for one night. But everything was well designed, clean, and I could see this being a wonderful stop in the early summer when the reservoir is full! We even had a problem with our carbon monoxide detector and the owner was able to get us one. We will definitely visit again during the summer to enjoy the reservoir. By the way this is a great spot if you are headed out to check out Bodie. Only about 30 minutes from the campgrounds and that is due in large part to the very bumpy road out to Bodie.

Yelp
It has taken me over a week to decide what to write because I was so disappointed and upset by my experience with the hosts at Paradise Shores. FIRST BRING LOTS OF MOSQUITO REPELLENT!! Don't expect much shade, not many mature trees, and the reservoir does not look as good in person, even my kids didn't get all the way in. Look out for dog poop, people don't like to clean up after themselves and there were dogs off leash roaming around. My story, (during Covid-19 June 9-11-2020) As soon as we arrived at the campsite they greeted us at the window of my truck and said hello. The 2nd thing out of their mouth was "Do you have a bathroom in your trailer?" to which I replied yes, but we never use the shower because it is so small and difficult to use (I have a pop up hybrid tent trailer). Then the man (I never got his name) went on to tell us how we couldn't use the bathroom and that it was too much work for them to keep it open for everyone so only campers who did not have bathrooms like tent campers or rvs without bathrooms could use it. At this both my mom and I groaned. The reason I was so inclined to pick this particular campsite was because of the fantastic reviews on how nice the bathrooms are and welcoming the hosts were, BOTH false. After they told us we could not use the bathroom the camp host handed us a map which had the bathroom code on it, he then again told us NOT to use the bathroom. He never once told us about the area or the campsite or anything in a welcoming manner. He helped me back my trailer in and that was that. While we were at Paradise Shores I would say they were at half capacity if even that. It was very quiet and not a lot of activity going on, (since CA was technically still in shelter in place) there were 3 tent campers (1 only stayed 1 night), and maybe 5-6 trailers, and out of their own rentals 1 was occupied while we were there. After a day out my kids wanted to go down to the beach and play. When we came back everyone wanted to take a shower. So YES I did break their rule, my sons and I grabbed our gear and hustled to the bathroom to take a shower. Before I could put the code into the restroom I was accosted by both Veronika and her husband. I was shocked at how they jumped on me in front of my kids. They got right in my personal space asking me why I was "sneaking into the bathroom" and began admonishing me for not finding them and asking them for permission. They again told me how we were not allowed to use their restrooms and how I was making things harder for them... I explained that I did not see them and we were just trying to get in and out as quickly as possible because we were just at the beach and that I never use the shower in my camper and we only use it to pee and poo. I also explained one of the reasons we booked their campsite was the great reviews of the bathrooms. I explained to them that a nice bathroom is something important to me when I travel with my kids and mother. This interaction was so awkward and aggressive and it made me feel absolutely terrible but they relented and let us use the bathroom. This whole interaction upset me so much because I could not understand why they were so dead set on not letting us use the bathroom when there were so few people there. They could have easily bent the rule for us, we only wanted to take a quick shower while no one else was even interested in using the bathroom at that time. What if my bathroom was out of order in my trailer? I suppose I should have lied to them. No where on their website did it say trailers that have inoperable bathrooms may not come... After that incident I decided I no longer felt comfortable at their campsite and we would find somewhere else to stay. I let them know via email that we would be leaving in the morning. Around 7:30pm the husband came by to let me know he got the email and basically wanted to explain to me how he was right and I was wrong??? There was no apology or anything like that. I don't know what his point was but I expressed how uncomfortable I felt and how he could have handled the situation differently because in their covid-19 rules it also states campers must wear masks (as per the county) unless at their own site. I pointed out to him how he and other campers were breaking the Covid-19 rules by not wearing their masks when in common areas. I also mentioned that there were 2 dogs wandering around the camp off leash which was also breaking another camp rule. So why did he decide that I should be reprimanded for my actions which left me feeling embarrassed and humiliated? At that point I said goodnight and went into my trailer. The next day he let me know he would refund my money for the night we would not be there and that he was sorry there had been a misunderstanding to which I agreed and left. So there you go I would never go back.

Yelp
Love this place! It's so cute. It's a very quiet spot to park for a few days and the grounds are lovely. Easy and quick to check in. We paid for 1 spot but the guy let us know that the spot next to us was vacant so we really had 2. Would definitely return!

Yelp
Paradise Shores was a delightful surprise. We were planning a trip to Mammoth Lakes and couldn't get in till Sunday. So I looked for a place nearby where we could stay for a couple nights. Bridgeport seemed great, close to Bodie, Mono lake and Twin Lakes. And I found Paradise Shores! A wonderful place to stay. Lovely hosts, clean bathrooms, and facilities. They offer paddleboards, Canoes, and kayaks for your use at no charge. I am amazed at how wonderful this place is. We had community campfires at night, and they provided all the fixings for marshmallows and graham crackers. I would definitely stay there again.

Yelp
We so enjoyed our time at Paradise Shores. During this time of covid and lots of uncertainty my family and I felt very safe and cared for. Much thought and thoughtfulness is going into Paradise Shore's operation to make all guests safe. They are limiting bathroom use to those in tents who really need it (We used our trailer's private bathroom which felt like a luxury after my childhood of tent camping in campgrounds with communal pit toilets!), are encouraging the use of masks, and spreading out stays in stationary RVs. Paradise Shores is a great alternative to roughing it in a remote campground without the added stress of hauling your own trailer. The trailers are there waiting for you no muss no fuss! When we arrived at our booking in the Denali trailer I was so impressed with how clean it was and immediately felt at home. The owners/hosts, particularly Alan, Kellie & Charlie, made us feel well cared for with a comfortable camp host feel of "we're here if you need us". I highly recommend the Denali trailer for privacy. It is a bit set apart from the other parts of camp and although it is at the entrance & closest to the road it still felt like it was our quiet little private island with its own kid friendly grass patch for the kids to run around on and play a family game of catch. We decided to bring our net next time for some badminton or volleyball! We took easy day trips to Mammoth, June Lake, Bodie, and Twin Lakes from Paradise Shores. And it's accessibility to the town of Bridgeport can't be beat. Don't forget to bring bug spray. Just cause it's glamping doesn't mean there are no mosquitos! But that's a small price to pay for the beauty you will see while there. It was just what we needed for an inexpensive, comfortable, relaxing family camping experience at a great central location.

Yelp
Highly Recommend, I was going to be quiet about the place so it doesn't get too popular but Alan & Veronika deserve a great review. I needed a place to camp while on my trip and after staying in a jammed and loud campsite in June Lake, I was pleasantly surprised when Veronica quickly replied to my email and informed of a spot that opened up. When I arrived, one of their employee's welcomed me with a great attitude and a smile, he was very helpful. My campsite was right on the lake, soft dry ground, picnic table and a palapa for shade and no generators at night. The bathroom was clean with real toilets, sinks and hot showers. They have 4 tent sites all along the water. The area is secured and felt very safe. I think the best part of the place is the attitude, the moment I arrived it was immediately noticeable and was a big change from the previous campsites. Everyone was smiling, saying hello to each other; very welcoming. The groups staying there were quite diverse and not your typical crowd. The lake is more beautiful than what you think while driving through Bridgeport and the views are beautiful. See pics I posted (page 6). I will be coming back again!

Yelp
My buddy and I rolled in on a Saturday afternoon on motorcycles and needed a place to camp for the night. Everything closed from Mammoth to Bridgeport due to snow. All sites had reservations for the night but Jim (onsite manager) found us a place to stay and took good care of us. The campground was clean and quiet. Community fire at 8 pm and some of the campers came out for drink and talk. The place was a pleasant and enjoyable surprise.

Yelp
This was my first time camping so far away from home, thou 4.5 hrs away is not bad with what all you get to see on the way, you will not regret travelling. So I had booked this place way ahead, I think it was match because it gets taken really fast. So a week before the arrival, the hosts will send you a reminder of your site and all important information, I was curious about the water situation and how we are going to wash pots but they did tell us bout the common area which has sink and stuff and also we could always take our own water which we did. When we arrived, the check in was super simple. Once you enter, you will pass the bathroom and you will see a board with a office sign next to a blue and white RV. On the board you will see your name on a card with your site and code for bathroom written on it. So simple right. You basically head to your site and that's it, start enjoying. I did get site 4 and it was so amazing. To wake up to a view of water and mountains has always been a dream, which came true. This place so far has been the most cleanest sites I have been to. And lemme tell you one thing about the bathroom, it's just like the bathrooms at home. So neat clean and tidy. I loved how on Saturday there was a bonfire and everyone just sat and mingled. I think everyone who is looking for a new place to camp right now should definitely check out this place. I was so so sad on leaving, I swear I could have started crying. I was leaving a piece of my heart there. So there was a dog who used to visit me every now and then. Maybe I got attached to that munchkin. I wish this place was closer maybe I'd spend more time here, but ohh well...maybe next year now. I so so so miss this place. Hope to come back soon. Thanks to the hosts for being so amazing.

Yelp
My review is long overdue. We stayed at Paradise Shores on our trip through Bridgeport and Mammoth in June. This is a hidden gem of a spot to camp. The RV sites are close together but that was fine with us. We had my husband's 70th b-day here and the hosts (Curtis and Dawn) were so sweet to bring him a bottle of wine to celebrate. They had a group of Airstreams camping here which was nice to meet new campers and tour a few rigs. It was nice to be so close to the Bridgeport Reservoir so my husband and our friends could go fishing. It was really nice to be able to just walk down the reservoir and let my dog play in the water. The sites were clean and the hosts were really attentive and ensured everyone was having a good time. SUP's, kayaks to use while there is just an extra bonus! Nice tent sites that overlook the reservoir. The bathrooms were clean and even had hand lotion! Such a nice treat! We really enjoyed the camp and definitely will be back! Thank you for making our trip a memorable one!

Yelp
My family of four stayed here for a great getaway. We had a little snafu with the trailer but the campground hosts were absolutely fantastic and worked their hardest to alleviate all the issues and helped make our stay wonderful. We enjoyed how close we could access hiking trails, hot springs and a cool old Ghost town called Bodie. Overall a great trip and really enjoyed our time at Paradise Shores!

Yelp
Paradise Shores is like heaven in earth when it comes to campgrounds. I have been camping/ RV'ing for over 36 years and I have not been wowed like I was when I arrived there for vacation this year. I will be reviewing my experience with renting one of their Travel Trailers. First of all the location in the Bridgeport Reservoir could not have been better. The views were breathtaking, the water was warm ( not freezing!) and every camp site had some kind of view or perk. The best part was regardless of the temperature ( was 80-90 degrees) there was a breeze off the water every afternoon that cooled you down. The campground is just a short drive to the town of Bridgeport, but far enough away that you feel away from it all. Now for the unbelievable campground! First of all the property is not huge, but everything is impeccably clean and maintained. The bathroom/showers were very clean AND the were stocked with Q-tips and disposable razors. Although we didn't bring our dog I thought it was very cool that they had a "Doggie Shower" are to hose of you pup after a dip in the lake! Speaking of taking a dip, it was VERY surprised to see that the owners provided two Kayaks, a paddle boat and a stand up paddle board for their patrons to use free of charge! My boys kayaked their little hearts out almost everyday which planted a seed that has grown into a new love and hobby. The staff members were all super helpful and polite. I cannot say enough good things about the distances they go to make your stay enjoyable and worry free. They get 5 thumbs up! Now the best part, Our trailer! We were lucky enough to reserve the "Denali" and it far surpassed our expectations. The trailer was shiny clean and stocked with all the pots, pans, utensils and linens needed to enjoy a "Glamping" experience. Then there was the outside area that topped it all off. We had 2 picnic benches, and an outside furniture set in front of the fire pit AND A HUGE GREEN LAWN AREA FOR OUR KIDS!!!! We could not have asked for a more perfect setting. Don't believe me? Check out my pictures!

Yelp
Helpful staff while checking in and they accommodated a motorhome full of rescue dogs. We only stayed on night but this is a campground we will visit again. Both comfortable motorhome and tent camping with beautiful views. Very clean and drama free. I really like the card you get when checking in explaining the rules and amenities available. Friendly atmosphere.., down to earth. Bathrooms clean and functional. Close to downtown which is an awesome place.

Yelp
After about two weeks of traveling and staying at various RV places, I have 0 negative things to say about this place. The spaces are ample with picnic benches and are on gravel. The gentleman who checked us in also helped us into our spot. He was so friendly and inviting. We were placed right next to the bathroom/laundry/common area which works great with kids. The bathrooms were spotless and the decor was so "home-y" and warm. The showers were very big, but they were very clean! The bathroom was also stocked with tissue, cotton balls and tampons. The is a little dog wash station in between the bathrooms. There are two common areas with fire pits. The one by the bathrooms has several couches, a rocking chair and (my kid's favorite) a hammock. The other was a lovely grassy area with blooming flowers. The views of the mountains are incredible, and the lake was awesome. They have a paddle boat, kayak and SUP- all free and first come, first serve. There were several RV rentals- some with decks and even adorable flower boxes under the windows. We are very excited about coming back in the future! Also, it's very close to Bodie (a cool Ghost town).

Yelp
I have visited Paradise Shores for many years. It just gets better due to the creative owners. Trying out one of the rental trailers this year. I am hooked. So much better Than hailing my own trailer. They thought of everything! So cozy and creative, wonderful bedding. It makes me feel at home. The decor is beautiful in the Cape. Beachy feel. Camping with a little glam = Glamping. There are so many improvements for guests. Clean bath facilities, beautiful flowers and more trees, boats available to rent and some activities the little store onsite has connivence items. The owners and staff are knowledgable about the area. I hope to be able to come back next year!

Yelp
We are avid campers and booked an RV spot here for 4 nights. Friends we were traveling with booked the Baja trailer (sleeps 3 and is pet-friendly) and with a simple email, they were nice enough to book our space next door to keep our party together. The office had closed when we rolled in at 7:30pm but a map was ready for us and the park layout was very manageable for our 14 ft pop-up trailer. We were quickly introduced to swarms of harmless mayflies (a food source for the local wildlife with a tragically short life cycle- look 'em up). I recommend keeping your lighting to a minimum to avoid unnecessary attraction ;) We got set up and quickly encountered a small problem when I needed to use the bathroom. The bathrooms needed a code (actually only the women's bathroom was locked- go figure) and no code was listed on my check-in info. The registration info does state that due to COVID restrictions, RV campers with their own bathrooms will not have access to the shared bathrooms but our pop-up only has a kitchen (this could easily be remedied by asking guests exactly what their set-up includes and noting this in the reservation- my husband was only asked length of the RV). Strangely, my friends with the full RV were given the code on their registration so we were able to use the bathroom during our stay. They did not. The bathrooms are nice but not nearly as convenient as having them in your trailer. The bathroom stalls are oddly small and my 5' 8" legs were touching the door when seated but it gets the job done. We had a small issue with the RV door not opening but the camp host on duty (I am so sorry I don't know her name- staying in the Springdale across from the Blue House) was awesome and got it figured out quickly. Steven was there for several of the days during our stay and he gave us great suggestions for the area and truly made us feel welcome. He reads campers well and is a great asset to this property. This is a perfectly delightful campground and we enjoyed our stay but it was negatively impacted by an interaction with an employee over accessing ice. We misunderstood the host's directions and ended up being in a restricted area (there was no sign). When an employee found us, he did not tell us we were in the wrong place until we were leaving the area and after informing us of the problem, we apologized immediately and told them we understood. This employee may have sensed our anxiety in the situation and told us "I am not pissed but we can't have guests in that area" It was such a strange way to speak to guests and usually is only used when you actually are "pissed". We all felt really uncomfortable and did not access the ice for the remainder of our stay. I would happily pay for every ice cube rather than have an interaction like that over something I know was intended to be a convenience. The kids love walking on the beach by the reservoir and they have paddleboards to borrow. Be aware that there is a lot of deep gravel so riding your bike on the grounds is difficult and there are no firepits except in the tent spaces and some of their luxury RV rentals. There are community firepits but we did not use them. Paradise Shores is a great concept for a camp community but a little clearer communication would go a long way to improve the experience and feel more welcome at the site.

Yelp
My brothers and I took a trip up to Paradise Shores to camp (via hipcamp.com) this past week. It was one of the greatest camping experiences that we've all had--that wasn't quite glamping. We stayed in tents with a beautiful overlook of the Bridgeport reservoir. Our campsite was very clean and equipped with a firepit, picnic table and palapa, along with concrete tiedowns for tents and EZ-ups. The community bathrooms were super clean and felt like they took a page out of Equinox gyms providing fresh razors, hot water, soap and q-tips. The outdoor kitchen had an egg barbecue and a large propane stove that we utilized for breakfast and dinner, which also yielded fantastic sunrise and sunset views. Overall, would totally recommend and stay there again. If you do plan to camp, make sure you have warm gear; it gets pretty chilly at night. If you can't handle the cold, definitely book one of their cute casita trailers. Happy camping!

Yelp
Great little place! Nice sites with great views. That staff were very friendly and helpful. The wife said the bathrooms and showers were the nicest, and cleanest of any of the rv parks we have been at. The water level was a little low to fish from the bank, but super nice views. I brought my dog and she loved being off leash to be able to play in the water. Very pet friendly!

Yelp
This place is so good, you have to promise us you don't tell anyone else about it. A small private campground, right on the Bridgeport Reservoir. They have RV sites with full hookups, tent sites, and even a few well-appointed trailers for vacationers without any gear or RV of their own. It's clear that the owners put a lot of time and effort into the place, they are continuously working to improve the campground. The facilities are not just clean, but indeed, charming. The sites are a little tight perhaps, but the views are stellar throughout. Mountains, beach, hills; it's all there. They even have kayaks and a small pedal boat for guests to use, free of charge. The staff is always around, and super helpful. The small town of nearby Bridgeport is cute, and right around the corner are the Travertine Hot Springs. Mono Lake is just down 12 miles the road, and the north gate of Yosemite only a little further beyond that. And to top it all off, the wifi is not just reliable, but very fast. Unheard of in the campground world. And, if you have Verizon, you get a very solid 4/5 LTE bars (which you won't need, because the wifi is insane). Being on the road full-time, this is a wonderful find, and we will certainly stay here again each time we're winding our way up or down the eastern Sierras on Route 395.

Yelp
This place was absolutely fantastic. It's located right off Bridgeport Reservoir, only a few miles from downtown Bridgeport. You can either book a camping/RV spot or rent out one of their 4 trailers. It's in an amazing location only 30-45min away from Yosemite, Mono Lake, Twin Lakes and Bodie. We rented out the Baja trailer for a couple nights and had a really nice experience. Waking up to the view of snow capped mountains is hard to beat. Alan and Veronika were great hosts and the trailer came with everything you could possibly need - its own bedroom, a small dining area, kitchen, bathroom and shower area. The cooking utensils, flavored yogurt, granola bars and microwave popcorn were a great bonus. It also has its own grill and a little chimney with wood and paper provided to get a fire going. They do have a few kayaks available too. I loved that they had a community bonfire setup over the weekend where they provided smores for everyone. They also do taco nights on Sunday which was a lot of fun. If you're new to the area they have a little book with all the things you can do around the area. We found this particularly useful. This place is booked out months in advance so make sure you grab a spot early! There's so much to explore around the area so we'll definitely be coming back here very soon. Pro tip: Don't forget your bug spray. Since this is by the lake, once the sun sets you'll see a swarm of mosquitoes.

Yelp
We rented the Anarondack Trailer for 2 nights in mid-June. We arrived late, around 9 pm, and I wasn't sure we'd be able to check in. To my surprise, there was a note with my name on it taped to the information sign, and my trailer was all warmed up with the light on for me. We even made it to Travertine Hot Springs that night, as it was only 10 min away. The bathrooms (and free, hot showers) were very clean and nicely appointed, complete with complimentary razors and qtips. The trailer itself is small but covers all of the bases. Only one "real" bed. A queen in an elevated nook with no door for privacy. The second queen is a pull out sofa that ends up being 4 big cushions in the shape of a queen mattress. Not ideal but comfortable enough and exactly as described if you read the details of the trailer. Kitchen had everything we needed. Haven't tried borrowing/renting thy kayaks or paddle boards yet, as the office is closes until 1 so we're off to hike instead. The BEST hike, up virginia lakes to frog lake, is just 30 min from here. So, off we go! Would definitely come back here if ever needing to stay in the Bridgeport area. 10/10.

Yelp
Read the cancellation policy very carefully. There is a hard and fast 21 day advance cancellation policy. We paid in full when the reservation was made, 6 months prior. We found out the hard way, there are no exceptions. We had a life threatening medical emergency 9 days before our arrival. We notified them as soon as we could. They refused to refund our money. We got a small refund because they were able to rent out our space for a couple of days. We lost the rest of our $$$. The emails we got from them had the tone that we were somehow dishonest and that we were not being truthful. How about a little compassion?! One of us almost died!!! I told them we could document the emergency and they didn't care one bit. No refund. Wouldn't stay there if they paid me.

Yelp
My family & I stayed here for two weeks. Here are the things we loved about this place: 1. Cleanliness- the grounds and the laundry and restroom facilities. 2. Location- a bike ride away from the town of Bridgeport where there's restaurants, lodging, food shopping and a local library, post office, park and laundromat all within walking distance. 3. The owners and hosts are super kind and friendly. We arrived here after hours and the office "open" sign and the well lit front porch welcomed us. We're new to RVing and the owner Alan backed in our trailer for us. 4. Staff and neighbors are friendly. A neighbor came over and shed light on my husband as he unhitched from the truck. Another neighbor kept me and my son company while we watched. He even offered us a drink. The kindest people doing this at 9 pm!

Yelp
This place is a hidden Jem. The owners are just awesome and Eventhough this camp is small I wouldn't want it any other way. They have taken the time to pay attention to detail. The views are just amazing and you are right by the Bridgeport Reservoir. They are pet friendly and even have a dog beach and wash station along with kayak, stand up paddle boats rentals, laundry room , showers, fire pit, community kitchen area, picnic area and fish cleaning stations. I can go on and on but bottom line you need to come check this place out.

Yelp
First time at Paradise Shores Camp. Rented the Blue house. It was super spacious, clean and had all the comforts of home. The resort itself was great: large fire pits to hang out at, roast marshmallows and just relax. The staff was friendly and overall our stay was super enjoyable. We recommend this place and would reserve it again.

Yelp
Allen was great called because we needed a place for the night. He was wonderful on the phone and told us to come on over, They had a great location over looking the Bridgeport Reservoir. So sad how low the water line is. Our drought in CA is intense.
