"If you're searching for an all-inclusive Mexican resort for families, this oasis set in a protected mangrove forest right on Mexico's Caribbean Sea is a great option. The giant, all-inclusive property boasts 24 restaurants and bars (some for adults only) and a water park with multiple pools and slides. The littles can spend the day in the Kids Club — with workshops, activities, and crafts — while parents enjoy a spa treatment or take a dancing class. Reservations at Paradisus Playa del Carmen include food, drinks, water sports, and entertainment, as well as activities like wine tastings and dance lessons for adults, and water park access for kids." - Travel + Leisure Editors

This has truly been one of the best all-inclusive hotels I’ve ever stayed at — and I’ve stayed at quite a few! The food was absolutely amazing, and the service all around was outstanding.||Our server Oliver in the Mexican restaurant made our stay extra special. He was so attentive, friendly, and professional that we actually went back a second time just to request him again!||Our concierge Jorge was also incredible — always patient, kind, and helpful with every little thing we needed. I’m sure at times we drove him a little crazy with all our questions, but he never once showed frustration or a bad attitude. He truly went above and beyond and was one of the best concierges we’ve ever had.||And our bartender Jesús at the Nube Bar was fantastic! He made the best drinks, remembered our favorites, and always greeted us with a smile. Honestly, everyone we interacted with was amazing — you can tell they take pride in their service.||The only downside was the mosquito situation. I wasn’t aware of how many there would be, and I ended up spending about $60 on mosquito repellent during our stay. They do provide small bottles in the room, but they aren’t quite enough — I had to buy three large ones from the store (around $22 each). So if you’re planning to come, definitely bring your own repellent!||Other than that, everything was perfect — the pools were clean, the resort was beautiful, and we had an amazing time overall. I would absolutely recommend this place and can’t wait to come back! 🌴✨

I was extremely satisfied with our short vacation. We love all the restaurants and the food was great. I loved your buffet and the selections of foods and dessert was unbelievable. We had so many great staff , Angelo who worked on the pool staff was so helpful he went above his service to help us. He was very considerate of my daughter in law who had a long serious bout with cancer. My room was always immaculate. Thanks to all your staff.

We recently stayed at Paradisus Playa del Carmen and overall had a great experience! We’re a big family — two adults and five kids ranging from ages 1 to 11 — and the resort turned out to be very kid-friendly. We upgraded to the Two Bedroom Master Suite Nature View with the Family Concierge, and it was absolutely worth it. The space was perfect for our family, and the Family Concierge service made everything smoother and more enjoyable for the kids and us.||The resort itself is beautiful — lush surroundings, clean pools, great food, and plenty of activities for kids of all ages. Our little ones loved the kids’ club, and we appreciated the balance of family fun and relaxation.||The only downside was that one of our luggage items was lost upon check-in. Unfortunately, the resort staff initially suggested that we might have left it at the airport. However, after reviewing our photos from the airport, we confirmed that we did bring all our bags to the property. I believe the mix-up happened because the check-in process felt rushed, and we didn’t double-check that every bag made it to our room.||So, for future guests, I highly recommend:| 1. While one person checks in, have another stay with the luggage to ensure everything is accounted for.| 2. Take photos of your luggage when arriving — it’s helpful for peace of mind.||Unfortunately, the resort has denied responsibility, and I now have to file a police report and work with insurance, which is disappointing. Still, aside from that issue, our stay was wonderful and memorable for our whole family.||I’d absolutely still recommend Paradisus Playa del Carmen for families.

As a Circle by Melia member for 15 years, it amazes me that they continually improve what always feels like, (how could it get any better?) I have stayed at many Paradisus resorts. This is once again a perfect experience. Best way to describe it is 5 star plus. Our concierge Miriam is a WhatsApp message away and uncannily seemed to know our location. She made every request happen even on the shortest of notice. The staff always aim to please in any extra possible way. Membership definitely has its benefits. I could go into detail but they have a sales staff that can better help you understand the advantages. Definitely take the time to listen to the pitch. When I first joined I was like many. Very skeptical. Ever since though, including my first use of the membership. I have been sold on multiple upgrades because my mind is constantly blown at how incredible they treat members. To sum this review up my membership has been an excellent value of an investment.

We had a wonderful family vacation and we're so sorry it's over. Angelo, the pool concierge, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Most of the other staff was also very helpful and welcoming. Dinner reservations were easy to make, and the food was delicious, except at Capella, which was inedible. We will skip that one next time, and there will be a next time!

Paradise Found at Paradisus La Perla From the moment we arrived at Paradisus La Perla, we felt looked after in every possible way. The resort is beautiful—immaculate grounds, stylish rooms, and fantastic dining—but what truly set our stay apart was the incredible service. A special shout-out to Ismael, who was beyond amazing. He was consistently attentive, warm, and genuinely eager to make our experience perfect. Whether it was remembering our preferences, checking in at just the right moments, or offering thoughtful suggestions, Ismael elevated every day of our trip. He’s the kind of person who turns a great vacation into an unforgettable one. We also want to recognize Cynthia Delgado, our concierge, who was absolutely phenomenal. Cynthia was proactive, organized, and unbelievably helpful—handling dinner reservations, activities, and last-minute requests with ease and a smile. Thanks to her, everything felt effortless and personalized from start to finish. Between the serene pools, delicious restaurants, and spotless facilities, Paradisus La Perla is already a 10/10. Add the standout service from Ismael and the exceptional care from concierge Cynthia Delgado, and it becomes a resort we can’t wait to return to. Highly, highly recommend! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I am currently staying at Paradisus, and while the resort itself is absolutely beautiful, my experience with the Kids Club has been very disappointing. I was informed to bring my 8-year-old daughter 10–15 minutes before check-in time if the children would be leaving for another activity or location on the resort. We arrived early, around 5:50 PM (check-in was at 6:00 PM), but I was told that she could not enter because they were only accepting children participating in the show. Her cousins, who were right in front of us, were allowed in, but my daughter was turned away. She was heartbroken and spent the evening in our room crying, not understanding why she couldn’t return to a place she had enjoyed earlier that day. She had been there all day and only needed to leave because the staff were taking their scheduled break from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. When I asked when she could return, I was told 9:30 PM — which is causing me to miss my 9:00 PM dinner reservation. There also appears to be inconsistency in the check-in process. When I registered my daughter, I was not asked to present her passport, yet another family member was told her child could not attend without showing one. Additionally, the Kids Club is only available for children up to age 10, leaving limited activities for older kids, which can be challenging for families traveling with children of different ages. Overall, while the resort grounds, rooms, and amenities are stunning, the lack of organization and consistency within the Kids Club was disappointing. For a family-friendly resort, I expected a smoother and more accommodating experience for children. Unfortunately, based on this, I would hesitate to return or recommend Paradisus to other families.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I came to this resort to celebrate a family wedding, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best all-inclusive resorts I’ve visited—and I’ve been to over 10! Every detail here is so thoughtfully curated. The Nespresso exclusivity is a touch that really adds to the experience, and the staff are genuinely happy and proud to serve, which creates such a welcoming atmosphere. The amenities are top-notch, and there’s truly something for everyone…whether you’re looking to relax, explore, or get active, you’ll never run out of things to do. I especially want to give a huge thank you to Elena, the yoga instructor. She’s absolutely fantastic—knowledgeable, professional, and so attentive. Her class not only elevated my stay but also helped relieve some back pain I’d been dealing with. Highly recommend joining one of her sessions! And I have to mention the cuisine—it’s exceptional. You can tell the resort takes its food seriously. Every meal was beautifully presented, fresh, and bursting with flavor. From breakfast to late-night dining, the quality and variety are outstanding, and it’s clear the chefs are passionate about what they do. Overall, this resort exceeded every expectation. Perfect for families, couples, or anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable getaway.
