Parador de Almagro

We went as a family for 4 nights. As both of us (the adults) work in the hospitality sector, we tend to be picky. |This hotel is amazing. Considering the building being as old as it is, it is impeccable, and all of the staff were met were polite and welcoming. |We had breakfast included, and even though the buffet was fairly small, the quality was good, and we enjoyed the possibility to order different warm breakfast items of the menu. ||We did not have dinner at the hotel, but I am sure it will hold great standard.||We did however have lunch one day at a restaurant near by (about 6-7 minutes walking) called "El búho y la buha". The food were amazing, and for a good price. ||The town Almagro, has other gems to offer as well. Try walking in the small streets and look for the tiny artisan bakeries. ||Highly recommend!

A charming place to spend a night or two. It's close to the centre, so you don't need a car to get around. Parking is free, which is much appreciated. The most enjoyable part is the dramatised tour of the Parador's courtyards at night, where you discover little-known dark details about it. It's well worth a visit.

I fell in love with Paradore Almagro from the moment we drove through the gates. So much of the original architecture furniture etc remains from what was a monestery. The rooms are comfortable with original small prayer tables at the side of the bed. Quality if beds and bedding exceptional. So many quaint quiet places to sit and reflect. Lovely breakfast local produce fresh fruit, breads, eggs etc

We had booked a junior suite and on arriving at this jewel in the crown of Spanish Paradores cheekily asked if it was the best room. They gave us room 1, a huge suite! Superb. Great location for a walk around the town and the hotel is exquisite with many private gardens. We ate at the hotel and had great service and food

Loved the space and layout with long corridors and brick arches. Beaufifully restored. Loads of parking some undercover, close to town.

A remarkable parador (16th century monastery) in a charming- underrated - town. Service, location, and overall experience were exceptional.

This lovely historic building, a little off the beaten track, allows you a glimpse into the real Spain, how the locals live! A short walk takes you to the town square where you can mingle with the locals and eat tapas late into the night. On your way, stop at the National Park Tablas de Daimiel for a one of a kind experience.

A beautiful hotel with such lovely gardens and an excellent swimming pool. Lovely being able to eat breakfast outside on the terrace.
