Parador de Benavente

You have to arrive early to be able to park at this Parador. They apparently don't have their own parking as the area outside is a public area.|The room is fine and generally that is all. It was the catering service where the faults lie.|As we arrived after 7pm we decided to eat in the restaurant. Not bad ,but not good either. Tiny portions reminiscent of the "nouveau cuisine "era. For €27, I had a very small steak, a teaspoon of vegetables ,3 tiny potatoes cut in half. Pretty indifferent service.|The topper was at breakfast next morning. The hot part of the meal had to be ordered and it was (supposedly) to be brought to the table. We ordered two fried eggs and bacon from the waiter and waited ..... and waited.15 mins later we called him over having received the bacon but the eggs had disappeared. We ordered 2 eggs again and waited again, for 10 mins. He kept glancing over to see if we had left but by then it was obvious they wouldn't arrive, and we walked out. If there was problem, wouldn't it have been courteous to have told us instead of ignoring.|It really was unacceptable.

Superior room with a terrace by the swimming pool was worth the extra. However, the food in the restaurant was below the usual parador quality. Breakfast we ordered egg and omelette, which appeared to be given to another table as they didn’t appear to expect them. We eventually asked the waitress where our food was, she produced the order - it was the hottest food we have ever had in a parador.

Couldn't really find any fault here. Huge comfortable room with a palatial bathroom. I have never seen a shower room with a big rainforest shower head at each end. Built for 2! The bar is at the bottom of the ducal palace building and is full of history. Helpful staff who helped us secure our next parador booking. Lovely situation in the town with great views.

Well situated in the town with a great view. bathrooms were the best ever! Bike parking was right outside the door, so 'felt' safe.

We stayed in this wonderful Parador (only one night) and enjoyed it in full. The rooms are very comfortable with a nice terrace and a stunning view.

Wow what an amazing Paradore. Every element of our stay was beyond expectation. Would recommend you eat at the hotel it was delicious.

New building with modern architecture, in suite with historical Castillo. Very comfortable rooms with designed shower. Great location.

Lovely room with a patio by the pool. Very helpful reception, friendly efficient service in the restaurant and great food.
