Parador de Las Cañadas del Teide

Visited 30th January 2026. First and most important, Beautiful located. Parking spots are available but limited. Public buses available during the day. We travelled from La Christiano to the hotel. And went to La laguna around 15:00ish. Dinner and breakfast can be arranged at the Hotel’s in-house restaurant. Next to the hotel, is a small museum (can be entered free of cost). Indoor pool and gym can be used (towels will be provided). Staff handling the dinner service was amazing. However, staff managing the breakfast service the next morning can try to be little bit more pleasant and cheerful. Room was good, but after one flush - water did not stop flowing so had to ask for service and it got fixed quickly. Overall, a nice stay.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped. The location is perfect — close to public transport and major attractions. The breakfast buffet had a great variety and tasted fantastic. I would definitely stay here again!

There is a range of walks on the doorstep. Location central so you can easily reach anywhere on the island. Even our standard room had a marble bathroom with twin sinks.|Note: TripAdvisor mixes reviews for two very different establishments here. First this superb Parador. Second a public cafeteria accessed by thousands of people visiting Teide every day. Read with care.

The hotel is perfectly located to enjoy the stunning beauty of Mount Teide, especially early in the morning before the crowds arrive. The staff were friendly and professional, and the room was comfortable and clean. However, the restaurant was disappointing. the food lacked flavor, and there were very limited options for those who don’t eat meat. The path leading to the pool also felt unsafe and could use better maintenance. Access to the hotel can be tricky, as many cars park along the narrow road, making it difficult for two-way traffic and complicating entry and exit from the property. Overall, this is a fantastic place to stay if you want to wake up in the heart of the Teide National Park, but there’s definitely room for improvement when it comes to dining, facilities, and access. A pity the cable car was closed during our stay, preventing us from reaching the summit.

Paying for deluxe room with panoramic view of both the mountain and the roques was worth the extra. Room was super comfortable - balcony would have served us well in warmer times.||In my experience the food in paradors is never very good - so I was pleasantly surprised by the good dinner (obviously nowhere else to go!) but breakfast was a low point even by parador standards. We chose a 9am breakfast slot and lots of basic items missing - coffee milk butter prepared fruit. Had to work hard and wait patiently for eventual restock. Maybe choose earlier slot next time? But to reiterate, location fabulous.

The hotel is a bit old but overall very nice. The best part is definitely the location — right next to Mount Teide! There’s a pool and a sauna (though it didn’t get very hot). The water pressure in the shower was great, and it was magical to see the stars directly from the parking lot. The hotel also has private parking, which was super convenient since there are lots of tourists visiting Roques de García. I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant, so we chose to eat in Vilaflor instead. Overall, a lovely stay mainly for the amazing location.

We stayed for 4 nights in one of the superior rooms at the back of the hotel. These have a balcony and view over the pool area and are very quiet. ||The Parador is of contemporary design, well maintained and clean.||The location is truly spectacular, however what stands out is the staff. They are friendly, motivated and happy to help.||Neomi in the dining room is a true gem. She went out of her way to make this an unforgettable stay.||

People come here to be in the Teide National Park and have close access to the natural wonders and outdoor activities. And because this is the only hotel and restaurant anywhere around, there may not be much incentive for improvement, let alone excellence. The front desk staff is variable. Some of the representatives were quite helpful and willing to get things done. Some were impatient and aloof. English language skills were quite variable. The room was spacious and well appointed but the surfaces were quite worn, in some cases, badly so. The dining room was ok. Breakfast offerings were good. There were a lot of cold items and hot items could be ordered as well. There is a cafeteria available for lunch but it was crowded and offered very little that looked good, There was essentially nothing vegetarian available. It was also very, very slow. Dinner in the dining room was ok. There is a full menu but very little vegetarian food. I ended up eating the same entre' every night... boring. In other places similar to this, I have been offered some off-menu vegetarian items. The staff in the dining room were very nice and spoke English reasonably well. In all, I would stay here again. As I said, it is the only game in town in this part of the park.

Este sitio es tan cutre! Las habitaciones son de otro siglo, es increíble que no lo hayan renovado con los precios que cobran para quedarse y para comer allí. Además, son cutres también en cómo tratan a la gente. Tienen la cafetería/ restaurante abierto sólo para clientes. Si llegas con la idea de cenar allí antes de tu excursión o algún tour... Ya puedes morirte de hambre y sed por lo que a ellos respecta. Es el único lugar a un radio de una hora o más en coche y así es como se mantienen abiertos. No hay otra razón. Recomendaría que los turistas buscaran opciones alternativas a la hora de visitar el volcán y la zona.

Food was terrible. Wifi in the lobby doesn't reach into the restaurant.
