it's pretty much the closest hotel to the volcano. parking just in front of the hotel. you can hike around the area literally from there. great views from the rooms. there's a smallish covered pool and a sauna (got to let reception know before using it) in a separate building next to the hotel. There's a very nice bfast. The restaurant was quite good, too. Service - one day very friendly , next day not as friendly - same person.||Right next to the hotel is a smallish shop and a free visitors centre worth going. dont' miss the film on the lower floor about Teide 4 seasons!

We spent a night with our 12y/o son here to enjoy the silence of a natural park and grasp some starlight - which we can truly recommend when you spend your holidays in Tenerife. Our impression was that it is more than a 3star hotel, we enjoyed sitting outside on the terrace or cooling don in the pool with a view on Teide. Good- v. good price / service relation.

A very beautiful place, located at the picturesque foot of Teide. Lots of parking on both sides of the road. For a more relaxing walk, it is better to arrive early, before the tour buses arrive. A tourist center has recently opened, where you can find out a lot of interesting information and watch a film about the nature of Teide with beautiful video footage in a cozy room. You can have a snack in the cafe. The hotel rooms are quite comfortable, but for winter it is worth taking warm clothes with you. The staff is extremely friendly, always ready to help and speaks many languages.

On the way we stopped at The cafetaria to grab something to eat. We paid €39 for two burgers that were inedible, some fries, and two cans of cola. Way too expensive, and if at least the food had been good… but it was a total disaster.

What a place to stay! Rooms were great, dinner and breakfast were bigger than we could manage and the location is perfect. Highest pool on the island and landscape is otherworldly. Tip: if you want to really enjoy your mountain trip, give yourself a couple of hours to acclimatise before going to the top of thr cablecar!

We used to stay here for family Christmas celebrations, in 1996 &1998, we also went for lunches , this time we wanted to repeat the service and enjoy a day there. Well, it was a fuss to let our car in on their parking, once parked and went inside, we chose to sit in the fabulous lounge to relax with a few drinks before lunch. Once seated we were told the bar was closed in the hotel and had to go outside to the other "bar" which was a shambles! it was packed with day trippers and hikers, standing in long cues just to try and get a coffee etc.. had pay 1€ just to be allowed in the WC !!! and it was extremely disgustingly smelly!! what a welcome to the Parador ! in all the various Paradors we have enjoyed in our lives, I never have been so disappointed. We decided we could not spend the day there, as we clearly were not welcome by the 2 "miserable ladies " at the front desk. Although we speak fluent Spanish too, we clearly were not welcome and they were not interested in offering us a lovely spot for a lunch neither. Its scandalous how they treat potential and existing clientele.

Fantastic for a stop over to watch the stars ect. Could do with a re vamp as a bit dated, but mostly clean. No air con until 1st May as its not summer yet so room was very warm during the night. Food was al a carte and very little meat on the ribs, not great if you haven't eaten all day. Drinks not bad price although the only lager was Mahou and was 4€ a pint. Outdoor furniture wrought iron with no seat pads so very uncomfortable 😬 overall 4* as we did enjoy our stay.

Excellent stay. Lovely room and restaurant and stunning views. Wonderful location for several walks and the stargazing is exceptional.|Meal was very good although they were very busy staff were friendly and did their best. Things are a bit rough around the edges but it’s in the middle of a unique national park so allowances must be made. Overall an unforgettable experience

Yelp
People come here to be in the Teide National Park and have close access to the natural wonders and outdoor activities. And because this is the only hotel and restaurant anywhere around, there may not be much incentive for improvement, let alone excellence. The front desk staff is variable. Some of the representatives were quite helpful and willing to get things done. Some were impatient and aloof. English language skills were quite variable. The room was spacious and well appointed but the surfaces were quite worn, in some cases, badly so. The dining room was ok. Breakfast offerings were good. There were a lot of cold items and hot items could be ordered as well. There is a cafeteria available for lunch but it was crowded and offered very little that looked good, There was essentially nothing vegetarian available. It was also very, very slow. Dinner in the dining room was ok. There is a full menu but very little vegetarian food. I ended up eating the same entre' every night... boring. In other places similar to this, I have been offered some off-menu vegetarian items. The staff in the dining room were very nice and spoke English reasonably well. In all, I would stay here again. As I said, it is the only game in town in this part of the park.

Yelp

Yelp
Food was terrible. Wifi in the lobby doesn't reach into the restaurant.
