Parador de Cangas de Onis

There are no words to describe how wonderful this Parador is. The place is located at the foot of the Picos de Europa and the staff is very friendly and attentive. The rooms and views are superb, the history of the locale is very interesting and the tour of the premises given by the director very interesting. The dining options are superb. If we are lucky to come back to this area, we will definitely stay at Parador de Cangas de Onis again.

Fantastic location in an amazing building. great service from the staff and lovely rooms. Food was a bit hit and miss though they were very accommodating. Breakfast was great. Wonderful setting and peaceful relaxing stay. Every staff member was polite and very helpful.

What a nice place. Very convenient for walking into the town (40 minutes) to have a meal or to catch the bus to Covadonga Lakes. I bet the river gets a bit lively when it rains in the mountains. A slight downside was the frenetic activity of the restaurant staff who all seemed to be on a sugar high. It didn’t lead to a very relaxing atmosphere at dinner or breakfast. Otherwise a brilliant stay.

A beautiful and historic Parador in the foothills if the Picos. Modern, rooms, free parking and a great breakfast make it a great pkace to stay. We were disappointed with dinner in the restaurant (both content and value), but that should not put you off staying here. There are many other restaurants in nearby Cangas de Onís.

An absolute gem in the area! The staff here goes above and beyond, making our stay truly unforgettable. The restaurant is a culinary delight - every meal has been fantastic. We’re big fans of Paradors, and this one has definitely earned a top spot for service on our list. Highly recommend!

We loved staying at this parador. The buildings and grounds were beautiful, the room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful. The staff recommended the walk into town along the river and it was lovely.

This was our first time visit to this hotel and we will be returning in the spring with its friendly staff lovely rooms ample parking and great location not far from the ferry its a real gem form a days adventures.

Fabulous setting in Picos region, very comfortable, bar a bit small considering number of rooms.
