Parador de El Hierro

Great and very charming location, quite isolated but it's worth the trip as the views are stunning and the building looks like a grand old house that is nicely decorated. I would recommend taking a room with sea view as you will have a balcony and sit privately (although make sure not to have a room at the ground floor as visitors to the terrace have easy access/view on your room and thus they offer little privacy) We opted for the rooms with mountain view but they don't all have a balcony and unfortunately the smoking area was just under our window... Overall the extra cost for the sea view is well spent. The hotel is rather small so it never has a crowded feeling and you feel privileged staying at this place. We stayed two nights during the weekend on half pension and booked directly on their website because it had a weekend promotion that was better value than booking through booking.com A star of the rating must be reduced because the gorgeous located swimming pool and wellness area is fenced of because of structural damage due to erosion from the waves.

One of the most scenic locations we have ever stayed in (if you like the remote aspect) This place breathes Spanish quality. Super qualitative breakfast, helpful and friendly staff, clean & renovated rooms with very comfortable bathrooms incl. plenty of storage. This place would get a solid 10 if pool, welness and gym area would have been accessible again (had some ocean damage). (Even though it had been communicated transparently)

Wonderful stay! Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the island. Get the room with sea view if available - worth the extra fee. Would be a 4 star stay if the beds could be more comfortable.

Location is world class, isolated, extremly quiet but thats the point going to el Hierro. Nights pitch black, oceans waves rolling 24/7. Nice rooms, good restaurant. Expensive for island but very much worth it. But dont even think of going here without a car, its a 2.5 hour 800 meters hike to get up from beach to nearest village mountain.

Thanks for your reply although I'm not sure who Mr Christopher is?! lol Fab rooms, amazing location, great staff. Beach not great due to large slippery stones. Point about 1km along the coast that has steps for getting in and out and plenty of sea life for snorkeling.

This is a fantastic hotel. Relatively small, no nonsense, comfortable, great service, wonderful breakfast, excellent quality for price. Simply no brainer when you're in El Hiero. Stayed only one night, did not try the restaurant for dinner.

The Paradores are all different and yet there is a consistency in service, quality, and presentation that is guaranteed. In El Hierro, you will find peace and quiet to the accompaniment of the sea splashing gently on the shore, a shaded tree-lined terrace to pass the hours, and a quality restaurant and friendly bar service. There is nothing to complain of here. Quiet competence and friendliness. The El Hierro Parador is the Canary Islands in a nutshell ... but it's very very far from your usual tourist trap!

I think this is the Best parador I have ever stayed. Right next to the shore of the coast and the Mountains on the other side. Service is so close and pleasant. You are better than at home

Great Parador with a wonderful view! Very clean, roomy and love the decor! We were sightseeing around the island and decided to stop in for a bite to eat and a few drinks. We walked in and were immediately greeted. We decided to sit outside in the very comfortable patio area. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We ordered some small plates of food and drinks. Prices were very reasonable and we were treated like royalty. Were able to pay by credit card and again, really like that they bring the credit card machine to the table so you never lose sight of your credit card. Had a great time enjoying the view and company. This parador also hosts weddings, business events and is a very comfortable hotel with a great restaurant. Did I mention the wonderful view? Just breathtaking!!
