Parador De Guadalupe Caceres

Absolutely beautiful accommodation. We were in room number 1 and it was just perfect. The courtyard is fabulous and the gardens are lovely. The pool is fantastic and the staff are impeccable. Cool, relaxed and spotless. Would most highly recommend!!

I am 65 years old. I have travelled quite widely on international business, staying in innumerable hotels. I can say without hesitation that this is the very best I've ever stayed in. The building is lovely, the courtyard bar a delight, but the truly spectacular aspect of the place is the view, across the stunning monastery (make sure you visit) to the beautiful mountains beyond. Wow!

We always have a good time when we stay at a Parador and this was no exception. However, a few negative aspects:- 1. Reception desk was overwhelmed/understaffed when we arrived around 1.15 pm. We had to wait 5 minutes before the parking lot barrier was raised. 2. Avoid room 4. 2 steep steps to bathroom, window overlooks street where Parador entrance is and consequently traffic noise can be annoying around 7 am. Ancient TV (14"?) and strange A/C device. Unable to make strongbox function using a credit card. The waiters/waitresses were very friendly and efficient esp José María Mateos who explained in great detail how REPAPALOS were made. The dining area in the patio de naranjos/limoneros is a perfect setting in the evening. PS Intriguing 6 point star ventilation holes in room. -

Just an amazing historic hotel in the middle of the historic area. Doesn't get better than this. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Just an amazing facility.

The parador is stunning, ideally located in the heart of the city, with charming and authentic facilities. The rooms are spacious, and the staff is friendly. The gardens are stunning and meticulously maintained. While we didn’t dine there, the menu appeared to be extensive and well-priced, offering a great alternative, especially compared to some of the nearby restaurants in the square, where the value for money is just average. While maintaining the hotel's signature style, the rooms could benefit from a bit of modernization. Additionally, the pool hours could be extended during the summer, as it currently closes while it’s still daylight and hot days.

A wonderful parador in an idyllic place. Next to a magnificent cathedral.||Peaceful, tranquil and full of history.

Perfectly located within a 1 minute walk to the small village square with its several bars and restaurants.||The hotel has fantastic grounds filled with lemon and orange trees. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is plentiful with a cooked option.||Parking for motorcycles is very easy, the entrance to the car park is almost directly next to the main entrance, the parking area is enough for over 20 cars and importantly it is secure, gated and locked at night. ||All in all it is a lovely hotel in the perfect location with good parking

High expectations, kinda mediocre. The room’s furniture was so basic and most was useless, bed sheets super uncomfortable. The environment, tho was pretty, with orange trees growing in the yard. Regular dinner was good, so was the bar, but Christmas meal was horrible. Not real food and nothing that screams Christmas like turkey, seafood. We had salmon canelloni.
