Another nice Parador stay. We stayed for three nights. It was easy to reach and there was ample parking. Check in was easy. Walking to most rooms one passes through a courtyard that is nice for sitting and having a drink or snack. The cafeteria, restaurant, and breakfast rooms are all off the courtyard. The room was standard for most Paradors we’ve stayed at and had a safe and mini bar/refrigerator. The staff were very personable and helpful. During our stay some rooms were closed for a special event so we were unable to explore all the common rooms.||Sections of the building’s exterior were undergoing renovations and there was also some landscaping work going on, so there was some noise from construction vehicles and other vehicles (delivery, tour buses). Since we spent little time in the room it wasn’t too much of a nuisance.||There’s little to do or see in the town itself, but the Parador makes a good base for exploring the area.

We’d lunched at this Parador in 2023 and loving the area we were keen to experience it as a hotel. It exceeded our expectation and the only problem was we could only stay one night. The work being done at the hotel (which did not interrupt us at all) was explained to us and sound exciting. We look forward to returning for longer in future.

This was our 4th visit to this Parador over a number of years. each time in September. We enjoyed it much less than previously. On this occasion, because of a mobility issue we had to have one of the rooms accessible via the lift. This faced the car park, was quite dark, smaller than previous rooms, and had a quite absurd bathroom. The standard 2 basin had been placed where there was just not enough width, so one had to more or less go sideways to get into the bathroom. If one of us was using a wash basin, it was impossible to get in the bathroom.|We stayed 4 nights, having dinner twice. On the first night service was very slow which we assumed was due to a large group in another room. However it was worse the next day. We waited from 8 30pm until 9 before even being given a menu. I searched for one but couldn't find any. The food itself was nice enough.|First impressions were not as before, because the patio, which is magnificent still had awnings etc, left over from previous days wedding. These were taken down during the following day.|On a positive note, reception staff were very helpful. Staff at breakfast were also very helpful.

This castle is an amazing place to stay - a unique experience. Room was very good; staff were friendly and very helpful; especially Andrea who was outstanding! Thanks for helping with wine & food choices! Particularly appreciated being amongst predominantly Spanish speaking visitors. Thoroughly enjoyed Spanish culture and village life - local Festival with street procession, bull running and the locals having a great party time!

We stayed in three Paradores during this trip and the food in this restaurant was by far the best. It was a pity that the towers were under maintenance and surrounded by scaffolding, but the ambience was very nice. This Paradore will be remembered as one of the highlights of this holiday.

Fabulous staff and beautifully restored setting. Excellent local dishes and service at dinner and breakfast. Parking is open but for guests only and easily accessible and easy walk to town centre. We will be back

The two rooms we rented were small but comfortable and nicely decorated. The bathrooms both had jetted tubs that I didn’t have time to try. There was a nice large swimming pool that I wished it had been warmer to use. It was warm enough to have dinner in the interior courtyard, and the food, service and ambiance were excellent. The Parador opened in 1966, and it was originally the 14th century castle of the Counts of Oropesa.

Beautiful setting, the Castle is well maintained and the surounding area has lots of interesting things to see. The service is good as well as the food. The bathrooms and rooms are very confortable with great views. We could not use the pool due to bad weather.
