Parador de la Seu d'Urgell

Really nice hotel. Rooms very comfortable. Bar service good. Secure parking adjacent to the hotel, so ideal for our motorbikes. A short walk into the centre. The only negative was the toilet in our room would benefit from some bleach, which was a surprise considering how nice everything else was. We would stay here again.

Stayed 2 nights. Friendly, helpful staff. Good facilities, nice pool. Room was big with a sofa and very comfortable. Large garage parking for motorcycles plus outdoor secure parking. Very close to historic area, next door to cathedral. Ate in the restaurant once and food was excellent. Restaurants in town were small and filled up quickly so not a surprise the parador restaurant was busy. Great breakfast.

I had a deeply unpleasant experience at this hotel. Upon entering the room, I was immediately overwhelmed by a strong, chemical odor clearly resulting from a recent disinfection treatment. The smell was so intense that it made it absolutely impossible to sleep or even stay in the room comfortably. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk, they flatly denied that any treatment had taken place, despite the obvious and unmistakable signs. The lack of honesty and transparency from the reception staff was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. Given the circumstances, I strongly suspect the room had been treated due to a bedbug infestation or some other serious hygiene issue. At the very least, guests should be warned about this in advance — not misled and expected to tolerate toxic fumes. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Basic honesty, health, and comfort should never be compromised, and unfortunately, this place failed on all three counts.

Quiet, despite being centrally located. Parking available, at a cost. Friendly and helpful staff in reception - breakfast staff rather more reserved! . Clean and comfy room, but why do paradors seem to have noisy sheets??? They are so well dressed during washing that they make a somewhat crunchy noise when one turns over?…… Fine for the restless sleeper, who can sleep through most noise, , but not for the partner who gets woken even by the sound of a mosquito or fly! |Very good, usual high standard, parador breakfast

Amazing experience at this beautiful hotel. Fabulous service, a lovely ambience and of course amazing position. We also enjoyed a meal at the restaurant. Thanks especially to the younger waitress who was so kind and helpful. I can't say enough good things about this Parador.

It is important to place this review in context:|The Pro’s: the hotel is beautiful, modern and clean. The staff are professional, friendly and helpful. The room was spotless, modern and well decorated. The hotel has a swimming pool, bar, restaurant and sauna. There is also excellent on site secure parking. Breakfast was self service and nice.|The cons: we couldn’t get the aircon to work and therefore we were too hot, in fact sweating at night, which meant I did not sleep well. The dinner service was appalling, I was served Iberian ham cut into squares, no salad, no dressing just a plate of ham? There were a choice of salads, 2-3 soups, but main course was either cod and pepper or beef cheek and roast potato, I had beef my partner fish both were bland, poorly seasoned, the roast potato hard and under cooked. The fish cold, there was no hot veggie or vegan option other than soup. The waited forgot my fruit juice, took forever to follow up and ask us to sign so we could leave neither of us could|Tolerate dessert. The dining staff are over worked the poor waitress at breakfast was managing booking, seating, serving and re-laying tables for all 20+ tables. We were charged €86 for dinner, I really don’t expect to be mugged inside a hotel dining room. I would certainly use the hotel again but I would under any circumstances eat there again.

Paradores are unbeatable! Highest value. There should be an international interest to book a visit to Europe just along a selection of Parador hotels. Always with historic or cultural significance, excellent facilities, predictable and good food and services. This time in La Seu. It is mind-boggling that not more younger and overseas people are visiting. We stayed in many hotels on our 7500km European road trip, found some great hotels, but the ‘of the beaten path’ Parador hotels we visited felt like anchor points. Maybe a little less exciting but just solid and obvious choices in the right location. Great staff especially in bar and dining area.

Let me start out by saying- the bed is great. The overall feel is of an American 70's hotel. The EV charger is extra - but don't worry- it doesn't work unless your car is from the nineties. There is a Tesla super charger station close- but the hotel staff won't tell you. The WiFi is great- but hounding get a password unless you ask for it. The rooms are a bit outdated. Shower in bathtub. No charging points next to bed. Town is deader than expected. Enjoy
