A lovely old place on top of the hill with great views. Easy walk down to the town and a regular bus back up, if you don't fancy climbing the hill. The rooms were good but way too hot for us northern Europeans - because the heating was on and no cooling. We left the door to the balcony open for air - and they gave us an electric fan to help cool the room.

We always love our stays in the paradors of Spain and this was no exception. It is situated high above Malaga with fabulous views of the city and harbour. The reception was very friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size, simply yet beautifully furnished. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Everything was clean. There is a great roof top pool with loungers.||The only draw back is the service in the restaurant on the terrace, exceptionally slow. The breakfast was ok, but I’ve had better for sure.

Excellent place to spend a few days in Malaga away from the downtown crowds. Location accessible by city bus, close to the castle entrance. Beautiful grounds, friendly staff, very good breakfast and food in general. Rooms are spacious, clean, with comfortable bed and nice view of the city.

I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant in Málaga! The view is simply stunning, and the wine selection was top-notch, making for a perfect evening. However, they did forget my request for a birthday candle, which I had mentioned both over the phone and through the app when booking the table. Despite this small oversight, everything else was fantastic, and it didn’t take away from the overall experience. Highly recommend this place for the beautiful setting and great wine!

We just visited the lovely terrace which has an excellent view. The teas and cakes were also good, but the experience was somewhat spoiled by a member of staff serving who didn't seem to want us there. We felt it was our nationality that was unwelcome as she seemed fine with the locals. Hopefully our experience was a one off as everything else about it as worthy of 5 stars

This hotel has great service, excellent staff, lovely large rooms and amazing views from the balcony, restaurant and bar area. Breakfasts are excellent, with plenty of variety. Evening meals are good and value for money. A great place to stay.

Loved it! Very welcoming place from the minute that you step in! Outstanding service from the reception, bar and restaurant staff! Very clean and spacious rooms. Very convenient to the city historical center! We will visit again for a longer stay!

We had booked for 1.30, when restaurant opened. Despite ordering relatively quickly, it took an out to get our starter and another 45 mins for the main course, which was cold. Sauce was congealed on all mains. Very disappointing

Yelp
I love this hotel. I live nearby and go into the mountains past this hotel often. Since the pandemic we haven't been travelling so treated ourselves to a stay here for my birthday. Gorgeous inside and out. The pool which looks so small when talking past in the mountain is actually a lot bigger than I expected. the restaurant is specular! I had the pulpo and my boyfriend had a steak. Top quality!!! Which is what should be expected for a nice hotel like this. I see another review had a problem with the internet. I hadn't had this problem, but i didn't bring my work with me either. I know how annoying it is when you can't get decent hotel wifi. But I think this wasn't typical. Our room was huge. Views awesome! And I had to hike to get here. I love this place! 5 stars! I'll add pics when I finally download them from my dslr

Yelp
This hotel is in a spectacular location with a scenic overlook of the water. It is not located in or near the center of town. It has the appearance of a luxury hotel. The rooms are large, bright, and clean. There are two restaurants on the premises: a bar/cafeteria where I had a good lunch with my traveling companion and a luxury restaurant. The food in the luxury restaurant was good -- expensive but not terribly so. A snooty maître d' presides over it. The problem with this hotel for me had to do with my requirements as a traveler. I depend on being able to stay in touch with people via email and on being able to use the Internet when abroad -- in my hotel room. Being not located near city sites and spots, I thought I would try to get some rest and to get some work done while staying here. I also wanted badly to get in touch with people back home. Neither was possible because the Wi-Fi which the hotel is supposed to offer for free hardly works. The Internet connection kept going down. One minute it was working - sort of - the next minute you were getting a message: connection failed. It would crash and your work would be lost. To send one email, say, takes around three minutes -- if you can send it at all. Often, you will get message indicating that the message can not be sent. We are talking about simple Internet functions here. I tried to do some work which required me to use then Internet. It worked so slowly --when it was not crashing - that it was useless. The staff acted apologetic and said they would fix it, but it wasn't working for most of the time I was a guest there - despite there telling me several times, "it's working now." The Wi-Fi problem affected my iPhone too. I could not send messages or go online with it. DON'T STAY HERE IF YOU ARE LIKE ME AND DEPEND ON INTERNET CONNECTIVITY. One other observation. Being located at a high altitude, the hotel is cool in the summer. That may be a good thing, but it was chilly in my bedroom, uncomfortably so. And, when I tried to take a hot shower in the morning to warm up, the water was only lukewarm and I could not manage to make it hot.
