Upon arrival room offered did have several serious quality issues. At leaving the hotel we requested a complaints form. When sending this to the hotel manager by mail her response was: you should have come to the reception, and we would have giving you a room change. Do we travel to a hotel for hundreds of kilometres to be welcomed in a hotel room that is asking for a room change? Same experience in the restaurant: waitresses not trained for the job. Even the head waitress failed: she poured red wine in my glass that had white wine before. Very poor offering for Vegan guests.

Room was OK, clean, reasonable bathroom. Hard to control temperature and bad sound proofing to guests walking outside and next door. Grounds in poor state. Food in restaurant very poor, if you need dinner make the trip to el Rocio where there are good options. We stayed relying on the reputation of Paradores as good quality but the experience here did not match our expectations. If you need a basic room in the area, this hotel was fine.

The beach is very nice, it is about 115 steps down to it. The room was comfortable and lots of hot water. We booked two rooms - one through booking.com - better price - and one through the Parador's website. About 10 Euros more. Getting from the front desk to the rooms was a road trip. We did not eat at the restaurant. |I was not informed that there was a charge for parking so was shocked to see a $16.00 charge on my visa the next day. The parador is in the middle of nowhere with tons of space for cars yet they charge for parking which is just a huge rip off and money grab.

The hall to the rooms look like an old hospital. The whole complex needs to be renovated. Only the view in the garden on the sea is very nice and the swimming pool also

Quiet clean rooms. I’m familiar with Paradores for decades and my wedding reception was in one so I understand how they work but here the facilities were poor and they make using them difficult. Outdoor pool not heated and dirty in April. Parking charge is extra when loads of space. I wanted to use bikes which are junk son road around on one that was dangerous. Wellness centre indoor pool sauna etc closed. I tried to use the gym but it’s back and forth to reception queuing waiting for the reception to finish their conversation I should be able to use a room key. Why is there no lighting on the corridor to the gym? Facilities closed or they make it hard to access. Tennis court padlocked, accessing beach gate room key does not work, PIN code requires ENT command before and after. We ate and service was good I know Paradores are about Spanish gastronomy but the burger was raw and I mean raw have a great photo, I was not asked how I wanted it and it’s a hamburger not fillet steak it was fixed and tasted great when cooked pink in middle..

An old but really well kept beach hotel, with a beautiful beach right next to it (the stairs to get there are challenging, with 189 steps that can be quite tough when climbing back up). The swimming pool area is fantastic, with an outdoors reduced version of the main hotel restaurant (that's indoors) where you can have a delicious meal or some drinks while enjoying the sea views. Great buffet breakfast (as is customary with paradores). Free bike rentals to explore the pine tree forests. Far away from the city or even town, you need a car to get there, and if you want to dine out, you'll have to drive about 15 minutes to town (which is pretty seasonal, quite dead in the winter). It's my third time there, and I've always enjoyed it

Stayed here for 2 nights on a visit to Huelva, The sea view rooms are excellent. The hotel is well maintained with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast very good, Bikes are a bonus. The main issue is the location which is remote and 30 km from centre of Huleva. OK if you want to go out in the day and eat at the hotel

We stayed here for a week with nothing planned but to relax. Located on a cliff overlooking the Atlantic, Parador de Mazagon is only about 200 steps away from the ocean. The beach is expansive in both directions, with plenty of room for privacy, even on the busy Saturday. The restaurant offers fine dining that you need to make reservations for the day before, but the bar lounge also has food available and no reservation is needed. Choices for vegan/vegetarians weren’t many in the restaurant, so we opted for the delicious veggie burger and hummus sandwiches in the bar lounge instead. Buffet breakfast at the restaurant was very good, though the choices for vegan/vegetarians could be expanded a bit. Their coffee is excellent. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.
