We recently spent four nights at this Parador in the charming town of Trujillo. No doubt that it was the best lodging experience of our journey through Madrid and Extremadura.||Our room was very large and divided in to a main bedroom and a small TV- watching area fitted with a sofa-bed. All areas had plenty of natural light, and at least two balconies gave us nice views of town.||A unique touch was that we were provided with bath robs and sandals for our personal use. My wife in particular enjoyed her rob (Albornoz). The bathroom was large and very well appointed. All around the Parador met and surpassed our expectations.||We enjoyed the bar, as well as the restaurant. One evening, we stayed for dinner, and we had a wonderful experience. All our food was very well prepared. The breakfast was also served in the same room, and it was memorable, because the buffet included some of my favorite ingredients; raw salmon and strawberries. Breakfast also included the option of cooked items, such as "Pisto", and fried eggs (CAO) and Bacon. From the buffet items I noticed only one uncommon item, wine, but I did not observe any guests drinking it.||In all our near-perfect stay at the Parador, we had only one minor problem. One evening, we were not able to control the temperature in the room, and we requested a portable heater. It took almost an hour to arrive.||If you ever include Trujillo in your plans, try to stay at this Parador, most likely you will be very satisfied.

Quite an amazing little town, really beautiful, few tourists, just a really friendly town. Hotel was a little disappointing - nothing bad just not very 4 star! I think it it could be improved with more staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful but it just needed more staff as it's a large hotel. Rooms quite basic though large, not of concern to us but our friends wanted a kettle in room and there wasn't one.|Paradors seem to have a quite a variation in "quality" across the various hotels.|Shame it was too cold for a swim in early May.|Would come back more for the town than the hotel!

We had a magnificent room, with a huge bathroom and jacuzzi. We loved the peaceful ambience and the easy walking distance to the Plaza Major. Dinner was served in a central courtyard. Breakfast was mainly a buffet with a few cooked items to order.

Perfect location. I’m hoping that the restoration works are finished before my next visit. The staff are wonderful and helpful. The parking is good and it’s easy to get to. They sent a very good map prior to arrival. Excellent breakfast. It’s a short walk to the centre of the town and the location is peaceful and quiet.

Unbelievable value for money. Lovely pool area, stunning historic building and generous room size. And just a short walk to Trujillo’s breathtaking main square. Would definitely come again.

Lovely experience to stay in this beautiful old building. Service was excellent from the reception to the serving staff, everyone was polite and friendly. Very close to the Plaza Mayor so we walked everywhere. Comfortable room with good bed and excellent shower. Really excellent food too.

Located in the old city of Trujillo. Walking distance to the plaza mayor and the castillo (Game of Thrones filming location). An hour's drive to the cities of Caceres and Merida and to the Guadalupe monastery. Staff is friendly and helpful. Some speak very good English. Swimming pool has sunny and shady lounging spots.

Classic Parador experience in a truly historic town. Monuments everywhere and close to Monfragüe National Park, so vultures, storks and kestrels overhead.
