Parador Guánica 1929

Nice staff, historic building but well maintained. The rooms are great if you want to rest after a beach day. The air conditioning works as it best. The pool area is spacious and comfortable with many chairs to enjoy the view. Free self parking. They even have a little restaurant with tasty food. 100% Recommended

My stay at the Parador was fantastic. The room was clean and comfortable, providing a relaxing atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel welcomed throughout our visit. The restaurant offered great food, with delicious options that exceeded our expectations. Overall, a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend it!

If you’re looking for a good place to stay at a decent price this is the best place. As for family all ages we had a great time either in the pool or near by beaches and the restaurant the excellent atmosphere, attention and hospitality the various options of food. If you enjoy playing dominoes or basketball or just relaxing there’s something for everyone.

Place needs an update… facilities are bad… room with old beds…room was not cleaned good, food was not all that great… young people working no adult supervision and the worst thing no SECURITY… guests are alone. NO personal… will not come back

Honestly for the price of the place there really is little you should complain about. (but we all do anyway lol) |The rooms are kept super clean, as is the pool area, and the majority of the staff are very friendly. |Bed was extremely comfortable, and there was a fridge and microwave in the room.|I wish the wifi would have been better though, a 2 week business trip with zero wifi in the room was a nightmare. I had to sit outside to get any signal and then i was eaten alive by the mosquitos.|Also would have been nice to have a beer on tap at the bar rather than just bottles, but that's just my preference i guess. |Food was ok, nothing special.|I would definitely recommend Guanica 1929.

I have a somewhat mixed review of this place. The rooms are small and somewhat antiquated. Probably too small for a person with a wheel chair. The air-conditioning was fine, except it blew right across the bed. The bed was OK at best. The food was fine but was nothing to write home about. On the other hand, the hotel is beautiful right out of a history book, as were the spacious grounds. There were plenty of areas for children to play. The pool was well taken care of and a perfect temperature. The surrounding area was peaceful and senic. The food was fine and very reasonably priced, especially after spending a few days in San Juan. I definitely recommend it for those willing to trade off a little luxury for a otherwise very pleasant experience

Everything was awesome, this was my third time staying with them, and it is always a pleasure. I give them 10/10.

Very nice hotel first Time staying here rooms are super basic has air conditioning but NO wifi unless your in the lobby, tried to do some work online but gave up, besides that not a bad place to stay at. Close to many local amenities. I'm in room 216

Cool old hotel at a fair price. It's a step back to an earlier age of glamour and panache. Check-in was easy, friendly staff, and just a 10 minute car ride to Scuba Diving with Island Scuba. A supermarket is less than 3 minutes away by car, and the hotel has a nice pool with a shallow entrance for wheelchairs or young kids. Two nights were comfortable for $127/night.

I wish we would've stayed here longer. This little hidden gem is not only clean inexpensive but also the staff is friendly, well trained and so helpful. The restaurant is really good and they do accommodate dietary specifications. There is a very good ice cream parlor with local flavors nearby, and is close to all the beaches in Guánica. Playa Santa is really close & it's one of the best beaches. We really enjoyed our stay; friendly staff, clean rooms & Great amenities.

We had the pleasure of staying here during Hurricane Irma and couldn't be more pleased. We were well taken care by attentive, hard-working staff. The building, pool and food were all pleasant surprises. The resort is relaxing and in close proximity to many beaches and arguably the best bio-bay in Puerto Rico. WiFi doesn't work well though this didn't hinder our stay. It's available for free though only near the lobby. If you need constant connection, this could be problematic - we had no need to be on-line. We would absolutely return and were sad to leave.

super friendly staff, very clean rooms. only wish I knew ahead of time there was no alcohol on premises.... the pool is nice and the food is not too shabby either. my only suggestions would be a working soda and snack machine for after the restaurant closes and maybe a way to make ice available after 10 p.m. also their WiFi setup is not convenient for those not from the island and don't have CLARO® for service
