Parador Villas Del Mar Hau

Rooms were beautiful, but there was 2 water leaks on the roof that run down the interior walls of cabana 30. We had barking dogs all morning since 6:00am and we couldn’t go back to sleep. We came for a vacation to escape barking dogs and for rest and relaxation, but it has been abruptly taken from us. Beautiful villas, but stay away from cabana 30.

This is a camper on the grounds of Villas Del Mar Hau. Nice and quiet. Perfect for a weekend getaway. Fits 3 persons perfectly. Fully furnished, AC, full fridge, stove, 1 queen bed, 1 futon. Nice terrace to watch the ocean and beautiful sunsets. Located in Isabela PR, northwest of the island, the one with the best beaches for surfing.

We loved our stay at the Hau Villas in beautiful Isabela. The water was rough last week so we were blessed to have the protected 'blue hole' at the resort so we could enjoy the water and explore the marine life with no problems. We loved the on-site restaurant, although we can only vouch for dinners, which were excellent. The rooms are clean but basic; but nothing beats being right on the water, laying in a hammock on your semi-private porch, listening to all the sounds of Mother Nature and the waves lapping. Check in was easy. Service was pleasant. The resort is secure. There is close access to the Isabela boardwalk. This would be a great place for large parties as they have different size Villas and Casitas depending on the size of your party. The only things we would have liked is to provide washcloths, hooks for hanging towels and wet clothing, and add USB ports to the room. We recommend Hau and look forward to returning!

The beach is gorgeous. The access to the water is ideal. That is what brought us here. Opening the door and been able to walk to the beach. We kindly requested for the room to be cleaned well but we found at least three bugs in our two day stay. Thankfully we carry Lysol spray and wipes with us so ensure you spray it all before you even go down for a nap. Because PR is so hot this time a year, turn the AC in the room as soon as you arrive to cool off the room because it takes at least two hours before you can start feeling cooler. They don’t have any coffee filters but have a standard coffee maker so that was a shame but we bought our own stuff to make coffee. They do have plates, cups a microwave fridge and utensils. It was handy. Make sure to bring hand towels and paper towel because there is nothing and I felt that those are things we needed to use. For the beach they don’t provide any umbrellas or chairs so bring your own. Our tv and the channel options was great. Especially we have two little ones. Our night lamp did not work. It didn’t even have a knob to turn it off. The blankets are thin so keep that in mind in case it gets really cold at night! No breakfast included of course but there is plenty of parking. The pool was nice. Clean. Didn’t smell like heavy bleach and they have showers right outside. We didn’t try the kids playground but they have one. You can literally walk to the pool and kids play area from the rooms. The room really needed to be cleaned better and the bathroom needs some upgrades. The bathroom only came with one roll so ask for more or towels as they only give you standard towels. No floor towels or anything. The ladies doing cleaning were nice. I did ask for some additional towels they brought them right away.

Place is beautiful, rooms needs upgrades, new AC’s. Because it’s an expensive stay (minimum 2 nights)

Bad wifi. Almost no TV. Merely serviceable Hotel spot

10/10 do not recommend. The Spanish speaking employees were nice but the English sneaker wasn't at all friendly. The cottage was dirty, had ants crawling all over the kitchen counters and the kitchen table. There were crumbs all over the cracks of the table. There was scuffling and chewing noises behind the walls at night like there were rats. No sponge to wash dishes and clean after yourself. Mold stains on my sheets. Ants crawling along the walls in the bedroom. We asked for an extra mattress and they promised to have it set up, but didn't. I had to set it up myself. There was a puddle of water in front of our cottage entrance that was about 1/2in deep which soaked my sandals. I was really excited for these cottages, but they were nothing like the pictures. The complete opposite to be honest. After not being able to sleep the first night, tried leaving but they refused to refund almost $800 of charges and wouldn't change our cottage or fix the issue. Even when we agreed to pay for the first night and be refunded for the other 3. We checked in at 5pm and packed up at 7am the next day, so weren't there not even 24 hours. There was no one in the office in the morning so we had to check out at 1pm after running some errands. It was a disappointing experience for the amount of money you pay. The only thing was nice was the location. Aside from that, it was the worst experience I've ever had in a hotel in Puerto Rico. They have yet to follow up on our experience or offer a refund after almost a whole week.

Excellent location, very quiet place for vacations, very clean beach, you can buy ice and rent beach umbrellas for $10, very colorful and clean gardens and places, good for BBQ, a very family place.
