Amazing restaurant on your way to Southern Creta. The owner himself came to take our order and when i told him we would like to taste a bit of Crete he suggested to bring small portions pf some of the most traditional dishes so we can try. I trusted him and it was the best decision! All the dished were excellent, service super pleasant and the whole experience totally worth it! Highly recommended even if you have to get out of your way to come here!!

A wonderful restaurant on the way to Southern Crete! Alekos(the owner) personally came to take our order, and when I told him we wanted to taste a bit of Crete, he kindly suggested bringing us small portions of some of the most traditional dishes. I trusted his suggestion—and it was the best decision! It was my first time i tried snails which was incredible. Every dish was excellent, the service was warm and welcoming, and the whole experience was truly memorable. We tried 10 different things and we paid 17€ per person. Highly recommended, even if it means making a detour to get here!

Awesome place! Very tasty, staff is really hostile and friendly! We like philosophy, that they recommend menu of the day based on group of people. You can really taste so much delicious local food! On my photo are not all dishes we had. For 9 dishes + 2 glasses of wine bill was 55 euro 😍 Come here hungry!

Absolutely exceptional! This place is a true gem for anyone who loves authentic Greek cuisine. Every dish was bursting with flavor, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and clearly prepared with care and tradition. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. You don’t just eat here, you experience a piece of Greece. I would come back in a heartbeat. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to taste real Greek hospitality and soulfully cooked food. Amazing food and great price! We were a group of 10 with no booking and were able to be seated all together. The food was absolutely amazing. There is no menu, they ask your dietary requirements and then just keep bringing more and more food. Think tapas but bigger portions. It was €25 for so much food and was absolutely amazing.

We had a wonderful lunch here on a Wednesday afternoon after visiting the Kourtaliotiko Gorge waterfalls. When we entered, the owner asked us what we wanted, we replied lunch. He said he was going to serve us the best meal of our lives. We never saw a menu, but food started coming out. First we were served two cheeses and bread, a Greek salad, stuffed grape leaves (dolmades), stuffed squash blossoms, and pork with apricots. The owner told us to only taste as more plates were coming. Then we were served roast rabbit, sauteed snails, beef stifado, green beans in a red sauce, grilled pork, grilled ground pork patties and fried potatoes. Everything was spiced just right and so tasty. The lunch was finished with orange cake, halva and ice cream. We were absolutely stuffed and had three containers of food to go. All for 35 EU each. Highly recommend stopping here for lunch and the experience.

If you want to taste traditional Crete cuisine - this is the place to visit! No menu - just what the chef prepared for the day. And it’s quite a bit! It’s at least 10 dishes + deserts! And it has been DELICIOUS! The place was recommended by locals, and that’s when you know you will get the best of the best!
