Paragon is an experience! Olde world Cafe with great modern Cafe options. The atmosphere was both relaxed, with a choice of seating options and classy, with art deco style fittings! Loved it!

If you are eating here you best be hungry. It what you expect from a rural town, big and fresh meals with a friendly service.

We came to the Paragon Cafe for breakfast, I haven’t been here since I was 12. The atmosphere and even the decor looks the same, in saying that it’s not a bad thing. Our server Donna was amazing, a big “Gold Star” 🌟. Very attentive and just that good old country charm. The food was just yum and huge portions. Hopefully it won’t be as long till next time I return.

Stayed in Goulburn over the weekend and before heading back to Sydney we stopped here for lunch. Family friendly restaurant, approached by a lovely staff NEELA who is very accommodating, pleasing and attentive for all our requests (thank you👌🏻). Food are great and reasonably priced, clean toilet and overall vibe is very cozy. We enjoyed our lunch! Highly recommended for good location, good food and friendly staffs!

Yelp
Overpriced meals, shocking service and a hair. Went in today for the lunch service which there were not many patrons at the time. Had to wait a significant amount of time before the waitress (after being told by another member of staff) to come and take our order, which was an ordeal in itself. The food arrived promptly with one of the dishes missing which i was informed the waitress had forgot to place the order when asked if i still wanted the missing meal i declined, as the meal that we recieved was quite large enough to share. The incompetent waitress then went and told the kitchen staff and made it appear as though i had purposefully changed my mind about wanting the dish. She came back out and asked if i was sure i didnt want it, i assumed now the it had already been made so i gave in and said okay. To which i heard another remark from the kitchen staff, along the lines of "so he wants it now", followed by alot of unprofessional bitching. All up we spent the good part of $100 on 2 sub par dishes and 2 drinks and some very poor customer service. 10/10 would not recommend.

Yelp
The Paragon is a bit of an institute in Goulburn that has been around, in a couple different forms, since the 1940's. The menu is quite extensive from light snacks, main meals, desserts and alcoholic beverages. We had a pumpkin soup, crepe and hot chips. The food is okay, pretty ordinary really, and the prices quite high. It is nice to sit in an old fashion style booth though and the service is good. A bit of a family restaurant. Probably should have ordered an ice cream sundae! Roses Cafe across the road has better quality food.

Yelp
On a road trip down south from Sydney, the Paragon Cafe caught my eye in comparison to smaller nearby cafes. It's a character filled restaurant; somewhat dated, somewhat vintage. The greeting was not warm and the Filipina server assigned to us had an attitude problem from the start; eventually culminating in an argument over what I didn't order (due to her not listening). Anyways, looking at the menu, prices seemed up there somewhat so I chose a croissant and bacon from the breakfast menu. Generous serving of Bacon. Price wise in comparison it was better value than the melt which looked average, yet was more than double the price. Anyways, customer service and a welcoming vibe needs to improve. I have an extra star since the food was decent.

Yelp
Stopped here on our way to Hay, NSW on a roadtrip to Adelaide. Situated in Goulbourn, it's about 2 hours outside of Sydney. Great town to stop in but Paragon obviously has the hearts of the people, the town and the travelers. It's brightly lit, attracting us right away. Has a casual section for coffee and cake and a sit down section with a menu with tons of variety. I had a chicken crepe covered in a creamy béchamel sauce while my partner had a wrap with fries. For those with a sweat tooth, plenty of ice cream sundae options. Alcohol served too!

Yelp
After reading some reviews on this place, I thought why not. On arrival we thought the menu was quite large & the service was pretty good too. That's where it ended... We both had a chicken dish which was very below average. The garlic bread only came with too bits. Very over priced and overrated. If in the area, I'm sure you could find somewhere else.

Yelp
Large servings of an ordinary nature, but large servings make up for a lot of sins. I hope you like fries, because they come with everything bar the salad. Their dessert menu is old school awesome (think milkbar from the 70s). And did I mention they had large servings? I think I did. Come with an appetite. Leave in a food coma. No, neither of us could finish our plates, so don't eat a previous meal. Oh, and there is a lot of fat in the meals, including the salads. So also leave your diet behind. Service is good and attentive, the server took the time and tell us why our meal was taking longer than 15min - makes a difference.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic restaurant for a good family meal. Perfectly cooked steak, huge kids meals and all reasonably priced. Fantastic service as well, even on a busy night.

Yelp
Fantastic pizza! We tried to find a pizza restaurant in Goulburn, only to have 'Dominoes' be the only entry to show up on our search. As we were getting ready to give up on our search we drove by the Paragon Cafe and saw a 'Pizza Bar' sign in the window. So we gave it a shot. I was not expecting much, so was very surprised when we got the food and it was absolutely yummy! The pasta was great as well. The place has almost a diner feel, but in a friendly, neighborhood way. Oh, and you need to check out the desert menu as well! Bottom line -- best pizza we've had in Australia, and we've had a lot of pizza here! Enjoy!

Yelp
Fast and friendly service. Food was very nice, but not spectacular. Was a touch pricey ($19 for an omelette).

Yelp
Without a doubt the rudest non caring staff and dried out food I've ever had. Absolute waste of money.

Yelp
The Paragon is an awesome country diner in Goulburn. Everything you can think of eating seems to be on their menu and the servings are huge. The customer service was great and the pricing was great, I would eat here again plus recommend it to others.

Yelp
Absolutely terrible. My boyfriend and I were visiting from Sydney and decided to give this place a try. We were met with an incredibly overpriced menu (that's coming from Sydneysiders) and it took quite some time for staff to attend to us to take our order (they were busy talking amongst themselves) I ordered the lamb cutlets and my partner ordered a beef burger hoping that for the price we would be paying that we would receive a good quality meal...We were wrong. Possibly the worst meal we've ever eaten (we're not picky eaters either) The cutlets smelt 'off', the burger was a tiny patty that looked like it came out of the Woolworths frozen food section - tasteless and rubbery. The vegetables were undercooked. There was nothing good about the meal at all. I honestly don't know what this restaurant is trying to achieve out in the middle of nowhere with prices like that and then serving poor attempts of a meal like we received. Once we interrupted the chit-chat of the staff to get our bill, we reluctantly paid and left disappointed.

Yelp
The ribs were great - and I am a woman! Just need to wash up afterwards. Good prompt service at reasonable prices!
