We had a lunch and swimming break during our Los Haitises National Park tour. It is beautiful place. The meal and dessert were great. Lots of Turkey Vultures flying above.

It was a total disaster, from the beginning to the end, we were a group of 20 people coming from samana in a tour that we did between us, at the door we asked then if it was possible to give us a discount since it was our first time and we were a GROUP, the 2 animals at the door were so disrespectful and bitter, because is not what you say is how you say it, they could haved explained us that is not possible for a discount even though we were a lot of people, so we ended up asking for a supervisor that could give us an explanation or treat us better but the supervisor was not even there, what kind of place is that where you can’t even speak with a person encharged in case something happens?. We ended up paying what they asked for, but the floor inside the water was slippery and green, the chlorine of the water was unbearable and certain areas of the different pools was DIRTY to the point that you can’t even see was inside, apparently the amount of money they charge to people is not enough to pay maintenance, I even catched an infection in my leg after, so if you ask me if i recommend the place NO I wouldn’t, if at least the treatment at the door was good, it would’ve been a different story.

We had a day pass as part of a tour and were really impressed with the water and the many pools and waterfalls, slides and stairs. So many beautiful settings with lots of space to enjoy. The water was refreshing and clear. The stone work all around that created the pools was awe inspiring.

We stopped here for lunch as part of a tour of Las Haites national park. The food was simple but delicious, service was good, and the grounds were lovely. My daughter and I had fun trying to walk each trail and visit every porch and patio of this unique architectural gem.

This place is mostly hype, the road is awful. it’s all dirt with huge potholes and rocks. You literally can’t see if someone is in front of you. The food is okay, think food you find on any of the side streets. The water park is nice but it’s not worth the overall price.

A local resort built into the hills. It looks like a cross between caves built into the hills and a Gaudi building! My room had some rock walls. Room was fine if somewhat dark. The shower was good. Only cold water at the sink. Good Wi-Fi in the restaurant but did not reach my room. The food was good and plentiful.

My family of four spent three nights at this ecolodge and loved it. Our room was quirky, playful, and comfortable. Lots of steps up to the room near the top, but the views are worth it. We sat on the terrace when we woke up and enjoyed seeing rainforest, mangroves and the Samana peninsula in the distance. Nights were amazing, with lots of stars in the sky. The pools were a real treat in the mornings, as we had them mostly to ourselves. It was fun trying the various slides and hiding behind the waterfalls. Juan Carlos took us on an excursion in the mangroves and to two caves one morning. We highly recommend taking a tour with him - he is personable and knowledgeable. A really unique experience, we hope to return sooner rather than later.

Beautiful place. If you like nature you will love this place. My only problem was that there was no deep water to jump in, all of the pools were 3-4 feet. Food was delicious and service was great. Excursions are not the best. Zip lines are not high and kayaking was okay.
