This is a super nice hostel in the middle of Praia do Rosa, right in between 'down town' and the beach. As it is quiet a walk from downtown to the beach, the location couldn't be any better. You can go swimming, surfing, wale watching (its really easy to see wales at the beach, in wale season), hiking and much more. The dorms are simply equipped, but cosy and clean, with pretty balcony. And there is a pretty veranda with hammocks, sofas and different seats to hang around. You have WiFi there and can have different drinks and snacks. The english-speaking staff is just awsome. They make you feel more than welcome and sweeten your stay. And they will help you with every issues you have to deal with. THANKS AGAIN FOR EVERYTHING! we had an aswome stay! Whenever I'll come back to Praia do Rosa, I'll stay nowhere but in this hostel! I can just highly recommend it for everyone who is not looking for the fanciest rooms to sleep at, but for having the best time!

We came to Praia do Rosa without having a hostel booked in advance. We saw the signs of this hostel in the town center and followed them. We first booked for just one night but decided to stay longer as the weather cleared up.||The Hostel itself is very clean. We stayed in an 8-bed-dorm with four guys with an ensuite bathroom. The bathroom was very clean as well and we've had hot water (didn't hve warm water in the previous hostel). ||The breakfast is OK but we didn't expect much.||It's a tough hike to get to the beach but it's definitelly worth it!!||The owners here are super helpful, friendly and very laid back.||The room was 60 Reais (15 EUR) for each including breakfast. For 10 Reais less you only get the room without breakfast (12-13 EUR).

I visited Hostel Praia do Rosa together with my girlfriend, in order to see a whale.(Baleia Franca). [If you look for a whale too, keep on reading this comment.] The hostel was pretty nice. We slept at a double bed room. There is a pool in the middle, a kitchen and a few nice dogs. ||||We visited at the winter time, so It was kind of peaceful. We didn't see many people around the hostel except for the staff. The hostel is somewhat close to the sea, but you have to walk a bit.||||The best thing about this hostel was the staff. They were really helpful and friendly. They were also able to speak pretty good English. They saved us many times when we were lost in Praia Do Rosa (Our taxi drivers always called them :) )||||Be aware that Praia Do Rosa is a pretty disconnected place. The bus to the next big city (Imbituba or Garupaba) shows up every 1-2 hours, if at all. There are no taxis around and There are no ATMs at Praia do Rosa. If you show up in the winter, most likely that nothing will be open. Except for a few people that go to surf, it is pretty much a ghost town. In addition, you don't actually get to see the whales from Praia Do Rosa. We saw them at Imbituba. That said, if you choose to stay at Praia Do Rosa, I think that Praia Do Rosa hostel is your best choice.||||Another note about the whales: It seems like in recent years (2014-2015) there is a new law in Brazil that you can only watch the whales from the shore, in order to protect the whales. It might change in the future.
