As a Senior Executive within a company that frequently secures accommodations for our Cast and Crew across various locales, it is with a profound sense of disappointment and distaste that I submit this review regarding Paramount Hotel. The egregious lack of professionalism demonstrated by this establishment and its staff is nothing short of deplorable. The management has seen fit to completely absolve itself from any interaction with its patrons, thereby stripping away every conceivable vestige of what constitutes basic hospitality.
The hotel's description and accompanying promotional photographs are egregiously misleading. Nowhere in their advertising do they mention the absence of a compendium, nor do they provide any indication that housekeeping is not included as part of the nightly rate. Furthermore, the state of the rooms is utterly appalling—old, tattered, and grievously worn down. It is unconscionable that this vital information is omitted, leaving guests to endure substandard accommodations that starkly contrast with what is falsely represented.
One of our Senior team members had the misfortune of staying at this establishment and experienced daily discomfort and dismay. The room was pervaded by an unpleasant odor, and each night was marked by encounters with cockroaches and bed mites, causing considerable distress and sleeplessness due to incessant itching and scratching. This is not merely an oversight; it reflects a complete dereliction of the basic standards of hygiene and care that any reputable motel should adhere to.
Adding insult to injury, the management has imposed a so-called 'damage deposit'—a security measure that is rendered farcical when considering the dilapidated state of the room itself. With torn beds, broken cupboard hinges, and makeshift shelving that could easily belong in a junkyard, it is absurd to demand such a deposit when the room is already in a condition that can only be described as decrepit.
The nightly rate is egregiously disproportionate to the level of service—or rather, the lack thereof—offered by what can only be described as a one-star motel, and even that rating is generous. The room is littered with signs instructing guests on what they must do, yet the management does virtually nothing to uphold its own responsibilities. Instead, they have prioritized investing in elaborate security measures for the doors, seemingly to avoid any on-site presence or engagement, all at the expense of guest comfort, living standards, and basic room service.
This establishment, quite frankly, is unworthy of even a single star. It is categorically not recommended for any traveler, whether for business or leisure. A one-star hostel would be far superior, at least offering the basic decency of human interaction and support from staff and management. Paramount Hotel would be well-advised to reevaluate its business model, which appears to serve only the interests of its owners, with no regard for the well-being or comfort of its guests. Such a model is not only fundamentally flawed but also contemptible in its disregard for the very principles of hospitality.
NOT RECOMMENDED. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
