13 Things to Do and See in India in 2025

"I love wandering down this famous food lane in the heart of Old Delhi's Chandni Chowk, where a handful of hole-in-the-wall eateries (some over 100 years old) all serve unique Delhi-style stuffed parathas—flatbreads fried on both sides—with fillings ranging from potatoes to cheese, squash, raisins, mint, mixed vegetables, cashews and more; the lanes are almost always full of Indians enjoying this tasty meal and taking a food tour or arriving via the Chandni Chowk metro makes it easy to dive in." - Matthew Kepnes

An insider’s guide to New Delhi, India - SilverKris

"A narrow lane in Chandni Chowk, Paranthe Wali Gali is where many sellers hawk delicious parathas (wheat pancakes) and it’s a must-visit for traditional street food." - SilverKris

This place is not worth to visit. Very costly. 60 rs items given in 220 rs. They actually cheat also, rate reflected in shop is just half, but you have to pay double. Instead of Paratha they serve kachori. Not at all recommended.

Parathe Wali Gali in Old Delhi’s Chandni Chowk is pure nostalgia on a plate — a legendary lane that’s been serving iconic stuffed parathas for generations. The moment you step in, you’re surrounded by the sizzling sound of parathas on tavas, the smell of desi ghee, and the timeless charm of old Delhi streets. Each shop here has its own legacy, offering a mind-blowing variety — from classic aloo, gobhi, and paneer to unusual fillings like rabri, khoya, and even banana! The parathas are crisp, rich, and served with spicy sabzi, tangy chutneys, and a side of pickles that make every bite unforgettable. The lane is often crowded and buzzing with locals and tourists alike, but that’s part of its charm. It’s not a fine-dining place — it’s an experience, a slice of Delhi’s food history.

The symbol how life can buzz and thrive in busiest of the busiest places in earth . This place is famous for fried bread . It’s not for the faint hearted 🙂. So if you are here you are welcome to indulge yourself

This place is a perfect example of making something overrated that you’ll get so disappointed with all the anticipation built over the years in your mind! People in Delhi really don’t know what “deliciousness” means

Only 10-15 minutes walk away from chandni chowk metro station. Handful food stalls and shops but there are number of options to choose from the menu. Must try parathas.
