Parap Fine Foods in Darwin is an absolute gem! The moment you step in, you're greeted with a beautifully designed space that blends old-world charm with modern elegance. They offer an incredible variety of high-quality products – from fresh deli bistro coffee and artisan cakes to imported wines, cheeses, chocolates, and fresh produce. Their pizzas and breads are to die for, and the quick dine-in option is perfect for a relaxed bite. What truly sets them apart is their outstanding customer service. The staff are warm, friendly, and always ready to help you find exactly what you're looking for. They go above and beyond to make your shopping experience memorable. I also love their gift hampers, perfect for Christmas and other special occasions, filled with a selection of imported items. The attention to detail here is remarkable, and you can tell they truly care about their customers. If you're looking for a place that offers amazing products, great service, and a wonderful atmosphere, Parap Fine Foods is a must-visit. Highly recommended for locals and visitors alike!

I hope I have the right place - it was a dark night. We'd gone over to get takeaway Indian and my wife wanted a "decorative" candle for the deck. I looked about and found a chap leaving his place and asked him. He'd closed up but offered to re-open to help me. He didn't have exactly what I wanted but did have some other stock which he went to get. I ended up getting the candle and meeting a lovely man who was so generous with his time. I hope he got what we agreed on - I've done my bit a few times. All the best to Neville. I must say I was very impressed with the shop/deli. It looked to stock quite a bit and was so well laid out. Worth a trip to Parap just to check it out. Thanks Neville.

The 3 stars is for the food, range and lovely young ladies at the service deli. Could have been 5 stars if that grouchy older woman never served a customer again. My colleague and I work nearby and we love this place (we spend far more than we should). A few weeks ago we encountered a woman we'd never seen before. She half served us and 3 other people on this day. She stood there like some sort of Oracle barking orders at the young ladies who usually serve us. She put them down in front of customers and made snide comments. My colleague and I have a strong management and customer service background and she put us off our purchases. We haven't been back. Keep that woman out of sight of the public please. We miss our Ruebens and Tiramisu.

Our first visit to Parap Fine Foods yesterday. A 500g bag of Gaganis Burghul, priced at (a reasonable) $4.95 on the shelf, was $10.95 at the checkout. The cashier's response to our surprise was a shrug and "it must not have been updated on the shelf". More than double is a bit more than an "update"! We double checked the shelf price and returned to the checkout. Same response from the cashier. Not a smart way to treat customers. A smart retailer would've charged us the shelf price and made the necessary adjustment afterwards. We left without purchasing. And we won't be going back to this outrageously overpriced (even given Darwin's tyranny of distance) establishment.

Lovely store with beautiful products, we really like their freshly made sandwiches and fantastic home-made tiramisu. Tried the (overpriced) pizza’s and garlic bread and unfortunately not a fan, ingredients felt cheap and greasy. Everything else is great.

Definitely will be the go to place for various food ingredients that may be hard to find in the large commercial supermarkets or groceries. If you are looking to prepare a good meal needing fine food ingredients and condiments you are likely to find it here. Enjoy!

Yelp
Go to the back for a great deli selection of cheeses, deli meats, olives and some sweets. Although this place is a bit expensive they have an extensive selection of rate over seas goods. You can buy coffee beans here and get a custom ground for whatever machine you plan to use. They have a helpful friendly staff, I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
If you need an ingredient that's hard to find PFF is your place, yes it is pricey but the stock is on the premium end. The deli section at the back of the shop is the best in Darwin by a mile, they stick a good range of cheese and meat. The staff are helpful and friendly. The wine store is also great, especially if you want something other than the bog standard wine & spirits offered at the chain bottleshops throughout Darwin.
