"Saturday Market Sensation in Darwin This Saturday institution in Darwin's thriving Parap district is a feast for the senses. Whether you're after a morning fill of Vietnamese coffee, tropical fruit and laksa or a local memento—from sarongs to handmade wooden jewelry—this market is for you. Don't miss the acoustic buskers or the beautiful tropical flowers such as beehive ginger (pictured)."
Parap market is terrific for its diverse food stalls. Try the Laos salads, rice balls in a coconut sauce (my personal fave) or sweet pork on a stick. Lots of choices of things on a stick...all good 😋 Beautiful fresh cut flowers & many other stalls to browse. Oh & don't forget to grab an authentic Laksa from Mary's to take home. Fresh breads & pastries, sweet home made desserts..too much to mention. A must go when visiting the Top End 🤠

Bustling place on a Saturday morning. Tried a laksa from the Purple Ladies - absolutely delicious. And the pork belly straight off the grill was unbelievable - flavourful, juicy and so tender. Definitely worth a visit!

It has been 11 years since I left Darwin, and the only food I was craving was market food, and Greek food.
Parap Markets was one of my favourite places to visit on a Saturday morning.
So many fond memories.
This market has the most delicious authentic food.
From the fresh juices, to the famous laksas and papaya salads, there is something for everyone.
I highly recommend visiting these markets.

Wonderful tropical market full of local produce and passionate people selling their tasty food. From fresh fruit smoothies to authentic Laksa full of flavour and Paw Paw salad, there’s something for everyone. Wander down the arty laneway from the pop-up stalls area to access a delightful delicatessen called Parap Fine Foods with goodies, decent coffee and local memorabilia.

All kinds of delicious foods as well as crafts and clothing. I got the perfect hand crafted coffee mug. And Mad About Coffee is right there for the best coffee.

It's not a bad spot to visit. Enjoyed the trip there.
Very busy and parking isn't that easy.
The street area is basically food stalls, and some only take cash. There is an ATM. However, when I was there, the que was 10-15 long.
The permanent business were less busy.
Worth a look

A small but good size market, diverse in its range of Asian food on offer, I found it very authentic and delicious.
There's a smattering of European food as well, but Asian reigns supreme here.
Two stalls sell beautiful helconias and so many tropical fruits are also available whole as well as fresh cut.
It was such a lovely experience to sample so many different food in the land of perpetual sunshine.
