Paraquet Apartments

It's 1 in the morning and these guest workers have the music up so loud I can't here myself talk while they scream to the top of their lungs. My 14 year old daughter can't sleep. This is crazy. And this has been going on all night. Started at 9pm. I asked for hot water in a tea cup and the water had something dirty in it like a crumb that sunk to the bottom, I watch the waitress watch it sink to the bottom and the water had a soapy ring around it. Meaning dishes are not clean correctly nor rinsed off completely. Staff smile like they are friendly until you turn your head the other direction. The Guest workers that live here 5 - 6 per room, walk right past you, keep their head straight, I guess they don't like guest staying here hense why the music up high and the screaming to the top of their lungs this late in the wee morning. 2am now.

This was our 10th summer visit to Bermuda. We go every year with friends and have stayed at hotels, houses, and owner occupied rental suites. The Paraquet is now among one of our very favorites. If you are looking for an updated, affordable, convenient location to stay when visiting Bermuda, look no further! The Paraquet is situated close to the beautiful Elbow Beach (a 5 minute walk, 1 minute scooter ride) and other gorgeous South Shore beaches, close to Modern Mart grocery store, and a quick scoot into Hamilton. If you are familiar with the island it is between Coco Reef & Elbow Beach resorts. The recently renovated rooms are very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. There is even a covered porch area as well as an outdoor seating area that we enjoyed after dining out or a day at the beach. My only suggestion would be for the trash bin for the restaurant to be moved or perhaps shielded somehow from the guest suites. The staff working here are so kind, accommodating, polite and professional.The housekeeper was very sweet and made sure we had plenty of bath & beach towels, coffee, and glasses/mugs. The owner, Jonathan, was helpful & great too! There is also a diner style restaurant on the premises that attracts many locals where you can enjoy breakfast, get a great sandwich to bring to the beach, or a late night order of french fries after pitcher of Swizzles at the Swizzle Inn located a few miles down the road! We would 100%, absolutely, definitely stay here again!!

Parquet is an institution in Bermuda. Been around for years. Their pies are amazing - especially the lemon meringue. Their milkshakes are normally also decent. That is all I normally get from there. However, ate there with my kids for an early dinner. What a mistake. Milkshakes not thick enough. Chicken fingers waaaaay over cooked. The liver with the liver and onions was like shoe leather. Quesadilla was less than average. The highlight were the fries and coleslaw as well as the service and cleanliness. So - for good pie; friendly service and a clean (yet dated cafe experience) go there - the rest - don’t bother.

Came to the restaurant here for dinner one night and breakfast a few days later on our vacation to Bermuda. Great service, food was good, huge menu; something for everyone! Chicken and Waffles were quite good. Poutine was delicious. Good alternative and short walk from Elbow Beach resort

I ordered a Bermuda style burger with fries and coleslaw and totally enjoyed it as well as 2 others that had a taste this week. ||I would usually get a fish dinner or their waffles. Also their desserts are very nice especially their lemon meringue pie.||The staff were friendly.

I travel for business and have stayed at the Parquet a couple of times. The efficiency-type apartments are perfect for me because it means that I don't have to eat every meal in a restaurant––I can go to the grocery store and feel right at home. It's also very convenient because the Paraquet Restaurant is right there if I don't feel like cooking. In one of the rooms I stayed in, I had a stove, fridge, and little dining table so it was perfect and made me feel right at home. Love sitting outside on the little porch in the evenings and watching Bermuda go by! Very clean and very friendly and accommodating staff who would stop by to see if there was anything I needed.Very conveniently located and close to the beach too!

A one week business stay. This was a 10 minute drive from town, taxi's can be ordered but it is easy to flag one down from the main road outside. That being said, the apartments are set back from the road at a fair distance so there is no noise of any substance. My room was very good, clean with en-suite and reliable wi-fi. ||The room had a microwave, coffee machine and fridge. It would of been very useful to have a toaster and a kettle. Also would have added a safe if possible, travelling with business I had documents and 2 laptops that I would preferably have been locked away.

Amazing location for any type of trips to Bermuda! Located between the city and the beaches, perfect for families, executives or lone travelers! Restaurant is on site opened from 8 am to midnight! Quality, very good price and friendly staff, a must for your stay!! You will definitely love it!
