We booked two nights from January 2-4 via Agoda, knowing that we would not be staying in the same room for both nights. However, based on the photos of the selected room shown online, we reasonably expected the two rooms to have similar features.
Upon arrival, the room assigned for the first night, room 405, was a very unpleasant surprise: no window, a room opening onto a private bathroom whose only window faced a concrete wall. The room was dark, impossible to ventilate, with faded decor and old, worn furniture. A truly gloomy atmosphere, completely inconsistent with what is shown online.
Another issue: two single beds instead of the double bed requested at the time of booking. The “solution” offered was to send a staff member who simply pushed the two beds together and stated that this now constituted a double bed.
Given the situation, we requested a refund, at least for one of the two nights, which the hotel refused, despite the obvious discrepancy between the room provided and the one advertised.
The room price was particularly high for the period, and the overall standard did not meet expectations at that rate.
Under these circumstances, we obviously changed hotels and lost the full amount paid.
The second night was supposed to be in room 408, but after this first experience, we did not wish to stay.
Based on our experience, the positive reviews do not reflect the reality we encountered. Contrary to our expectations, this stay showed a clear lack of transparency and respect for guests.
The message we sent to the manager at the indicated address to express our concerns has remained unanswered, and no follow-up has been provided.
