Very historical place in the Vosges mountain range, see the original tunnels, turrets and bunkers from the war, some but yards apart from the opposition, sniper posts, and ordnance holds. For the defence of this strategic position known as the "Hell Hole" by both sides as from 28th August to 9th September 1914 with over 4,000 french soldiers alone dying in hand to hand combat for the ridge.
It's a must see place. Truly astonishing.
