Parc Naturel Régional du Doubs

The Doubs National Park is an absolute gem of a place! It's a true natural paradise that will delight all your senses. I'd highly recommend checking out the medieval festival in Saint-Ursanne. It's an amazing experience that takes you back in time to a bygone era. Another highlight is the lovely restaurant La Goule near Le Noirmont. After a delicious meal, there's nothing better than taking a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters of the Doubs, which borders the park along the French border. The breathtaking nature of the park is something you really have to experience for yourself! Whether you're walking, riding a horse or even travelling in a gypsy wagon, you'll be blown away by the beauty of it all. And there are so many ways to enjoy the park, whether you're into cycling, walking or even flying in a UFO! ;] You can unwind and be active at the same time, which is great! If you fancy a little more civilisation, it's well worth making a detour to La Chaux-de-Fonds, where the La 7eme-Pompe bar awaits you with its unique charm and ambience. In short, the Doubs National Park is an absolute wonderland full of adventure and discoveries. Have the best time exploring it!

The Clos Du Doubs is a very interesting and very rural part of the Jura mountains. I won't give it five stars as there are no uniqe and stunning features, but I keep going there for hiking and biking in a (for Swiss standards) non-crowded environment. Also, the low altitude makes it a good destination for shoulder-season trips, when there still is too much snow in the Alps or when you simply are sick of winter and want to see some springtime colors.

Stunning place that is not full of tourists or overcrowded. Absolutely fantastic for gravel riding with 100s kilometres of tracks to explore.

Beautiful nature. Kayaked from Goumois to St-Ursanne with the current. Many people fishing along the river, although a native told me that fishes have been disappearing in the last years.

Gorgeous and not too crowded. My partner is from this region so I'm a bit biased. Beautiful hikes, good mountain biking and cross country skiing, stunning views, and magnificent food in the area (cheese, wine, sausages!). Locals are very friendly, but speaking something French is highly recommended.

We walked the length of the Doubs on a cool and pretty rainy week. It's a stunning walk in a deep green gorge. We both loved it. Don't expect to stay in touch with with, there is no network here. Fantastic.
