Yelp
We booked for Parc Suites but were placed nearby at 3485 Du Parc Avenue, a short way up the street above Cacao 70 Parc. We didn't use a car in town, so no parking comment.
I booked here based on reviews online. My experience was pretty mixed.
On the positive side, the room was awesome. The large room had a modern motive and decor (lots of IKEA going on) and the kitchen was well supplied to allow cooking in comfort. There were two nice sized televisions, comfortable sitting area, and the highlight of the room was the large double full body shower which at the end of the day really feels good! The location is central, so walking to Mount Royale, Chinatown, Mile End, Old Town, basically, any neighborhood was walkable. We took an Uber to Litlle Italy but were able to enjoy walking everywhere else.
Now the negative. I have thought long and hard about this because I don't like to write negative stuff on Yelp, but my wife and I talked a lot and decided to put it out there. This area is in transition, being gentrified slowly. On our arrival, it was very depressing because the streets are very dirty, and there were homeless people outside our place at all times. I know that's just part of big city life at times, but every morning and every evening we would be panhandled for money, and have to pass by this intense urine smell. If I had known this, there is no way I would have booked this place. I have no idea how Cacao 70 stays in business with that smell and having to walk past the panhandling. That is the only negative. There is a great store for grocery shopping, a Starbucks and a cool coffee shop across the street. Basically, everything was in place, and this would have been a fantastic stay save the fact that I felt sick every time I left and came back to the place we stayed.
