"If you're looking for a more active morning, head to nearby Maremma Regional Park for a hike, Burch suggests. But make sure to get up and out early, before the seaside park gets too hot."

Exceptional worth the visit and a detour. Good chance of seeing deer, boars and definitely foxes near eating area. Rent an ebike from the shop across the street from guest center including free parking at 20 euro others more and no parking. Entrance is 5 euro and another 5 if you wanna hike cala di forno (guide no longer required) hike is about 1 h each way and well worth it. Opens 830 am closes 9 pm. Suggest do the loop in reverse for less effort so start with alberese beach then cala di forno towards sunset

We really enjoyed our guided hike led by Cecilia. She was very considerate to involve the whole group and was able to transmit her passion for nature, history and culture. Highly recommended to book a tour and explore special paths

Great park, amazing wildlife and plants. Lovely treks and paths to discover. Unforgettable experience! Anywhere you look you will discover different animals and spots. You can explore and find perfect spots to snap a great picture, creating a wonderful memory. Loved it!

Natural beauty! Beautiful beach with only a few visitors! Perfect visiting time is spring and autumn, in the summer time it can be quite hot out there!

Beautiful place. It's really hot in June, so bring a lot of water with you, some fresh snacks, and a hat. Very easy to walk, and with nice surprises in many of its paths.

We went there mid of september and it was miraculous. We‘ve never seen nature like it is shown in this nature reserve. Highly recommend to take at least one path that leads to one of the castles placed high up. The panorama is beautiful up there and you can quietly observe the landscape. Also recommend to go swim on the beach with a blue sky above.

Great park. There are several routes on foot/bike/horse which u can choose from. Everyone should find a tour. Seeing the beach is a must.

We had a nice hike there on the smaller family paths. They were still interesting enough to spend an afternoon in the forest with the kids. Only 3 stars because the core of the park can be reached only by bus, which goes mostly every hour but not between 1 and 5 :(
