I normally don’t leave reviews, but the inconsistency at this Paris Baguette location has become extremely frustrating especially given the price point.Over the summer, I fell in love with the matcha latte here. It was consistently smooth, well mixed, and worth the $8+ price. However, over the past couple of months, the preparation has been wildly inconsistent, and the quality has dropped significantly.
On multiple visits, I have watched staff prepare the drink in completely different ways. One employee dumped matcha powder directly into milk and attempted to mix it in the cup, resulting in an undrinkable, powdery taste. Another time, staff blended the matcha and milk properly showing that the correct method is known.
Most recently, I ordered an iced matcha latte (no ice due to being sick). The cup was filled almost entirely with oat milk, and then watered-down matcha was poured in. The result was essentially diluted milk with no flavor. At this point, I’m paying premium prices for drinks that are clearly not being prepared with care or consistency. When I raised concerns politely, the response I received from staff was dismissive and rude, which only added to the frustration.I’m not expecting perfection but I do expect consistency, proper training, and respect as a customer. If the recipe has changed, staff should be trained to prepare it the same way every time and communicate that clearly.
I truly hope management and corporate address this issue, because I want to continue supporting this brand but not at the cost of wasting money on drinks that aren’t made correctly.
