I had a very disappointing and upsetting experience at this store today. From the moment my friend and I ,both Asians walked in, it felt like we were not welcome. None of the sales assistants acknowledged us or offered any help, but we noticed them giving us uncomfortable, judgmental looks.
When we wanted to make a purchase on the second floor, one of the staff told us to go downstairs to pay. We followed her instructions, but when we got to the first floor, no one wanted to assist us either. After waiting, we asked the cashier, who responded in a dismissive and condescending tone, telling us to go back upstairs. Even after we explained that her colleague had told us otherwise, she simply shook her head and insisted we go back up with zero courtesy or willingness to help.
In this day and age, with so much happening around the world, this kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. Perhaps the staff are from an older generation, but for us in the new generation, this kind of attitude especially one that feels racially charged is not something we accept or tolerate.
Anyone who believes in respect, inclusion, and stands against racism should think twice before supporting this store.
