We decided to stay in a B&B rather than a downtown hotel. The Parisian Courtyard was selected because of its history, ambiance, and proximity to St. Charles and the Trolley, Tulane Unv., the Garden District and the French Quarter. Check in was very easy. Our room was small, but comfortable. The home (hotel) was very quiet, secure and private. Parking was on the street in front of the hotel. Breakfast was wonderful. We were most impressed by the friendliness, courtesy and the privacy provided by the staff. If you do not want to stay in a downtown hotel and understand that this is an older, restored and well maintained home, then it would be difficult to find a better value than a stay at the Parisian Courtyard.

Beautiful Inn! Room was clean and gorgeous. Location felt very safe. Although I will say Brian the GM was unnecessarily rude. He talks to you as if you’re stupid and is just a generally unhappy gentleman. Maybe he was just having a bad weekend... Not saying I need Ms. Rachel to greet me at the front desk, but just maybe a tiny bit of hospitality (after traveling, arranging babysitters, and of course $200 a night) would have made the stay a 5 star. Definitely not for children for any moms reading this! Gorgeous china/breakables everywhere!

I've been visiting New Orleans for over 30 years and this is my favorite place to stay away. Beautiful building run by wonderful local people who provide great service in a historic location. You get a good breakfast and the perfect balance of history and New Orleans hospitality with the modern amenities of comfortable room and bath, instead of staying in a big hotel that feels like it could be anywhere in the country. We stayed in a king suite, and the photo is of the bed loft.

Our check-in was hassle free. They made sure we had all the information we needed upon check-in. And was always responsive. Room #9 was beautiful and very spacious with a parlor and separate sleeping area. There are quite a few stairs, though. The first morning was amazing. The second morning was different because there was no one on the property, only a lady cleaning, so when we came down for breakfast and there was no hot water for tea, we had to wait quite a bit and ask the cleaning lady to help us. She was, of course, supser friendly and kind. And no music the second morning. The breakfast was light, but ok for two mornings. Not a big variety, and the second day, the English muffins were stale, so the breakfast can take some work. It's only a block from the streetcar, which is great. Suggestions: better fresh breakfast, a hot water samovar to hold more hot water, dusting shelves and chandeliers, a host on the premises in business hours. It was a great stay, and hope to see it be even better.

Would stay here again! Beautiful room (#6) and building, quiet neighborhood, nice complimentary breakfast (even had GF options), House of Hoodoo & Gris Gris within walking distance, and easy ride on the street car from a couple blocks away into the French Quarter (recommend the Jazzy passes). Brian was super friendly, with great recommendations for things to do no matter what the weather, and other staff were very helpful.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful week-long stay here. The entire hotel is gorgeous, the rooms are relaxing and surprisingly quiet, the beds are comfortable, and the breakfast they serve? So good. If we ever make it back to the area, there is nowhere else we'd stay. It was a great experience.

Google
A beautiful BnB with wonderful rooms and gardens. It's a historic building and the decor and furniture don't disappoint. Everything is antique and in wonderful condition. The chandeliers are almost worth the stay alone. The place was very quiet and you almost felt like the only guest at times because of the size. The breakfast had something for everyone. Each day they had, Paleo bars, a fresh fruit, cinnamon rolls, Greek yogurt with granola, a fresh egg dish, bread and biscuits. Coffee, tea and juice as well. Be sure to grab your breakfast and enjoy it in their amazing gardens. Speaking of the gardens, they have three! They each can seat about 6 people or so with a nice variety of plants and flowers. We'll most definitely be back to stay at this charming place!

I loved everything about this bed and breakfast Inn. Great hospitality. Beautiful interior. Historical location. Comfort rooms. And my favorite free house made breakfast, fruit, coffee, juice, yogurt, and the most amazing dinning room to sit in and eat at. I was going to book a room at my usual Canal St hotel just to be in the center of everything. The thing about getting a room in that area: no parking. It's free parking at this hotel. Sold!!! It's only one mile to the French Quarter and one walking black to St. Charles Street. Here is the perfect location to stay. I do plan on rebooking here next time a come to New Orleans.

Yelp
Quality and hospitality go hand in hand here. Brian, the site manager, immediately saw our every need. When we pulled up out front, we were struck by the drunk by the beautiful architecture and all the decorations for Mardi Gras on the front of the house and outside on the fence. It was just a beautiful sight to say. We went inside and got our room and the and the antiques and the details pale and the attention to all the little nuances that make a spectacular stay special, we're all in high gear. We arrived at our room and much to our surprise it was a historic site. The bedroom was actually the kitchen of the founding family who made their 1st batch of Tobacco Sauce in that exact fireplace that was in our room. And it was the place where they made the following batches until they started their plant. Everywhere you look there are antiques and curios and collectibles from a long time ago. there's and cabinets with nicknames and things from centuries gone by. Beads and masks everywhere ready for Mardi Gras. Comfort everywhere you look. There is a secret garden and open gardens. This was such a magical place. They seem to be pretty full every night of the week but rightly so because it's so well done. The rooms are very comfortable and extremely clean. The rooms also come with a wonderful breakfast if they lay out every morning and the guests come in and serve themselves to themselves to the great layout. And just when I thought the fountains were the nice finishing touch, I found out that the parade was only one block away within walking distance. So, we went every night. And caught as many beads and trinkets as we could gather. The parade on St Charles Street is more fun less congested and safer for families to participate in than they do the drinking crowd on the Bourbon Street parade. This is also a great location because you're not in the Bourbon Street district, you're able to move around New Orleans looking at some of their other sites without getting trapped in traffic and bad parking. When I come back to New Orleans the next time I would love to stay here again because of its location. I would love to see more of the sights of the city and the food and all the excitement that comes with it. This is definitely ground zero for me from now on.

Yelp
The manager is a weirdo. Had a tantrum over a 15 minute late checkout. Clearly Brian is not cut out for the hospitality industry.

Yelp
Stayed here for our anniversary week celebration. It was our first time staying at a B&B in Nola. The house is beautiful and has so much old charm. We never woke up early enough for breakfast but they always left out delicious cookies and cakes during the day to snack on. Our room faced the outside courtyard and it was reasonable quiet. I believe someone stays upstairs full time and smokes. That is my only compliant. Some days you could really smell the cigarette smoke in our suite which I didn't like. Especially when walking to the bathroom area, it came down one of the vents. You can also hear when anyone is walking around upstairs or loudly coughing. We were here for 4 nights and it didn't bother us, but it is notable if you are seeking something with a little more quiet. The location was fantastic. It's in the Garden District and several 24 hour pubs with food are within walking distance. The trolley car also picks up just two blocks away which is convenient. $3 a day is well worth the pass! I would stay her again for sure and recommend it to others.

Yelp
Nice inn. However, I wanted to get some ice, and I did so. The next day the kitchen manager, or maybe he was the assistant to the kitchen manager, scolded and reprimanded me for going into the kitchen to get ice, I'm like really? The scolding began with sir we need to have a word... And ended with if you put your hand back into my ice machine, you will be thrown out... Since the scolding certainly did not match the crime, we will not be staying here again.

Yelp
Beautiful venue, but many rules. It seems the smaller the venue, the more the rules. We had our wedding here almost two years ago and it was magical...because of the people, not the management. Tracey, the manager. at first seemed accommodating but changes her vibe as you get into the planning. For onstance, we weren't allowed to gather there w friends for a rehearsal dinner of simple pizza (it would cost more even though we had secured the place for the weekend; a 'just in case' damage deposit would have been a good compromise but the manager wanted to charge a large fee - even though we would clean it up ourselves). Then, on the day of the wedding, we did ALL the work including setting up tables -- Tracey didn't help at all though a fee was paid for her services & normally she has help but didn't that weekend for some reason, yet our fee wasn't discounted -- our friends had to pitch in. At the venue, we set up in a way that Tracey strongly discouraged but at least allowed (wedding in back, reception and music in front) - it was amazing. Advice: if you stay here & get married here for it beauty despite the management challenges, then go ahead & pay the hefty 'parade' fee to the city to Second Line, have a brass band (Kinfolk Brass Band!), and pay to have the police escort. Our parade shut down St Charles...what an amazing experience and memory for all. ------ We stayed here for our five year anniversary. New manager. FANTASTIC experience for me and our whole family!!! Even met the kind owner.

Yelp
Instead of going to the French Quarter and stay an overprice typical hotel, this establishment makes the travel experience more memorable. It has a beautiful dining area that is perfect for professional photography. Their lots of walking distance eatery and the trolly. Plus free parking and self-laundry mat in the front. The host is so nice and you can meet people during breakfast. When you are done eating, feel free to walk around the beautiful neighborhood.

Yelp
I love this place. The facilities were implacable and the rooms were on point. It really embraced the full experience of New Orleans. Kevin was always friendly and extremely personable. Besides all the wonderful things this place offered, the coffee in the morning was one of my favorite treats. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Fantastic accommodation, service and location. The house and rooms were oozing with New Orleans history and charm. House is conveniently located a block from the streetcar route--making getting around town simple. Would 100% recommend.

Yelp
We had a completely different B&B booked for our weekend in NOLA but our son got moved back a week in boot camp (Air Force in San Antonio) so we were forced to reschedule our whole trip. Although I'm sure the other place is very nice, we are glad we had to reschedule because the only place we could find was this place. I called and Tracy said they had an opening for us and I said I would think about it due to having emergency booked anther place already. She was still willing to discuss and give pointers and recommendations about our trip without booking us at their Inn. I called back the next day and booked with her and cancelled the other. We arrived and her husband Daniel checked us in and he was extremely pleasant and helpful. He gave us some recommendations on getting around and where to find authentic NOLA music and atmosphere out of the quarter. We enjoyed our two nights there and the room was awesome. We had a private porch with room #4 and private bath. The breakfast that Tracy put out for the guests looked awesome even though we did not partake since we had eateries already planned for outlets trip. The Inn is in a very nice neighborhood that is walking distance from the quarter, garden district and the other must visit areas. We had no problem walking around at night and felt very comfortable. The service was great at the Inn. Tracy and Daniel do a great job making you comfortable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away from the hotel chains. We will return for sure. 10 out of 10 in my book.

Yelp
A hidden gem ! Stay here and get A wealth of information to see the city and enjoy NOLA! Great breakfast, cool guests only apply... great conversation in the parlour!

Yelp
Kim was an amazing host! We had the best experience staying here Saturday- Monday of Presidents' Day Weekend. This B&B is truly a hidden gem in a great location. Rooms were spotless and furnished beautifully with comfortable beds. Breakfast is included in the price and was delicious! Will definitely try to stay here again the next time we visit NOLA.

Yelp
This place was AMAZING. We were greeted by a live band. Not for us, but it was a neat experience. Kim was a fabulous host. She recommended several restaurants and tours- all of which we tried and had an amazing experience eat each place we visited. I can't say enough about the state of the place. It was immaculately clean. And I'm pretty particular when it comes to cleanliness. The place was obviously historic. However, it was in a perfect state of repair. The location was great- a short walk to the St. Charles trolley line. Several restaurants within walking distance. If you are planning a trip to New Orleans, you MUST stay there. You will not regret it!

Yelp
this wonderful - Off the Beaten Path - bed and breakfast? delivers the goods.... priced right, with local flair, a lower garden district mansion, comfy rooms, courtyard to boot, makes a wonderful spot to get married in, have a party, or just enjoy the quiet of the garden district. Located between magazine and st charles, your minutes away from shopping, or bar hopping, restaurants galore. The staff is over the top, and there at every turn, if you need information, maps, or in general, great conversation... they're ready to jump to it. rooms are super luxurious, and the mansion itself, lends an old school charm to your visit. literally just blocks from Lee Circle, and the streetcar line... I highly recommend this jewel for a change of pace on your next visit. you can't go wrong...

Yelp
I have no words to describe our experience at The Parisian Courtyard Inn. We had the perfect wedding day and stay. Having worked with Tracey for the past year, she has been a delight and I am going to miss talking to her. She was an incredible host and innkeeper, ensuring everything was flawless on our special day. She was incredibly patient and tolerant to our very loud family. The rooms are gorgeous with incredibly soft sheets and the breakfasts were much more than your typical continental breakfast. We also hired Daniele to play his gypsy jazz guitar- we are fans for life. Thank you for everything- i wish we could get married every year- so much fun!! The Parisian Courtyard Inn is truly a New Orleans treasure. Maria and Edward

Yelp
Thank goodness we stumbled upon the Parisian Courtyard a few weeks before heading down to NOLA for Halloween. A group of ten of us rented five of the rooms in this BEAUTIFUL old mansion. Each one was unique and interesting; full of antiques and well thought out decorations. Even the parlor and grand staircase (with chandelier) were awe-inspiring. The location can't be beat. We were walking distance to a fantastic park, great restaurants, bars, etc. Jesse is awesome and ensures that everything your heart could desire to accomplish in this city will come to fruition. There aren't enough accolades to merit an accurate description, so you'll just have to check it out for yourself! Oh, and it's affordable too.

Yelp
Located in the beautiful garden district you feel like you're in a book when staying at this wonderful establishment, surrounded my romantic courtyards, amazing flowers, and cute iron fences. We had an amazing experience at this B&B!! Tracy and Daniel went above and beyond and we felt truly taken care of during our stay. I booked the room about 2 weeks before our getaway to NOLA during St. Patrick's Day Weekend and most B&Bs were booked. Luckily Parisian Courtyard Inn had two rooms available, and the room that I liked most was one of them! We stayed in Room #9, spacious clean and absolutely perfect. Romantically decorated and super clean. Did I mention everything was super clean? The place was immaculate, and that is super important for me. Tracy and Daniel were always around or near by and eager to answer any questions about NOLA and the surrounding districts. They even suggested an awesome date night in the Bywater area, which was one of our most memorable nights in NOLA. We will most definitely come stay again some day :)

Yelp
This is such a true gem in the Lower Garden District especially it being right around the corner where my daughter lives. We can walk everywhere and it's only a block from St. Charles where you can catch the street car going Uptown or French Quarter. Tons of wonderful restaurants nearby and one block from the best place to get pralines - Jeanne's Praline. We stayed in Room 1 on the main floor - it was huge - bed is very comfortable. The new manager, Tracey, could not be any nicer. She even chased after us for a few blocks as we were walking to Magazine Street to tell me that I forgot to turn off the lights of our rental car and offered to turn off for us. Now this is beyond NICE. We also enjoyed her husband, Daniele's gypsy jazz, at a nearby restaurant - great singer and guitar player. We look forward to stay there again for the Jazz Fest...

Tracy M.

Yelp
Wow, this place was great!!! Room 4 is amazing! We had our own huge porch overlooking Prytania Street. Parking is free/street side, and we were able to park our car right next to the house where we could see it from our room the whole time. The house was so quiet too! We did not hear any other guests day or night while we were there. Only noise we heard was people outside on the street one of the nights, but that is way better than the noise you'll get staying in a hotel! Honestly, when people asked me what the best part of my trip was, this B&B was it!

Yelp
Absolutely breathtaking inn, I took many of my wedding photos here while getting ready and Tracey was extremely helpful and understanding of us. The rooms are gorgeous, and the bathrooms are modern but in a way that compliments the traditional style of the rest of the house. Also for brides check out room 4 for getting ready pictures! Convenient location to the garden district, the street car, and not far from the French Quarter. The breakfast is also very good. Highly recommend!

Isabelle G.

Yelp
Enjoyed our stay greatly. The house is old with a beautiful antique feel and is extremely well kept and very clean. Daily cleaning services kept everything neat and nice. It was quiet during the week. Friday onto Saturday, as anywhere else in Nola, people are coming in late at night, so it gets a bit louder, but that's to expect in Nola :). Outside had plenty of space to lounge. Kim was very courteous and helpful. She made excellent breakfasts and had plenty of coffee, fruits and nuts around throughout the day. We typically never stay at B&Bs, as we really do not trust their quality, so this is our first time, and I was very pleased with how personable and relaxing our experience was. I would definitely come back. Just to get you to understand about the likes/ dislikes of who is writing this review: I am an MD, in my mid 30s, from Europe, and am very very hard to please :) and quite quick to find issues, but I had no issues while staying at the Parisian courtyard B&B. Things were exactly as we expected, including the wonderful hostess Kim.

Yelp
I had stayed at this location a few years before. I had left early I was told I would receive a credit on the books. The Following year I returned not only to find out that the credit was no longer available, but the $100 deposit I put on a room had been rescinded. I have contacted management to talk about this, I was told to go to the website and book a room from there. This used to be a bed-and-breakfast that care about their customers, today they show no allegiance whatsoever to anybody walking through the door. They're looking for your money and that's it, there's no customer allegiance or customer service whatsoever at this location. You would get better service at the Gretna off-track betting parlor.

Yelp
The Parisian Courtyard Inn is absolutely stunning-inside and out. The outdoor courtyards are hard to beat. The parlor is perfectly NOLA and I loved sitting with the other guests at breakfast and hearing about their travels. I traveled to New Orleans with some girlfriends for a bachelorette party. 3 of my friends and I stayed in room number 1 which I believe is the largest room. It was beautiful! Floor to ceiling windows, two huge beds and a fire place. The bathroom is spacious and modern. There was plenty of room for 4 people. I think Tracey was a little nervous about renting to a bachelorette party but we weren't your typical crew and didn't get too crazy. The breakfast was absolutely scrumptious and the perfect thing to wake us up from our late nights on Frenchman Street. We're thankful to Tracey for accommodating us and for her hospitality and must do recommendations. This is a great option if you want authentic NOLA accommodations.

Lincoln F.

Yelp
Grace and Charm A gorgeous property in a great location with comfortable beds, nice sheets, fluffy towels, wonderful antiques, curios and art, terrific people who really care and are trying hard to make your stay perfect, excellent breakfast, all at a reasonable price. Walk to the convention center and some excellent local bars and restaurants or take the St. Charles Streetcar right in to the French Quarter or way out the far end of the Garden District, it's only a block away. A true slice of New Orleans, I heartily recommend the Parisian Courtyard Inn.

Michael V.

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay at the Parisian Courtyard. Beautiful and charming. Kim was very hospitable and went out her way to provide us a late breakfast. Would definitely recommend it!

Yelp
Good friends of mine got married here, they rented out the entire place for a weekend. First thing i notice was parking, you might luck out and park in front or down the street, but if anything is going on around that area you might park a block or two away. My First impression when i walked in the front door was Damn I went back in time, they had all kinds of old New Orleans stuff. Now im sure it was different then it normally looks because it was being set up for a wedding so i will try to keep that in mind when describing. Since my wife stood we got a room, we actually bounced back and forth between 2 rooms. The first was in the back, the walkway needs to be tightened up it felt a little unstable under my heavy foot. When we got into the room it was nice, clean, comfortable bed, the bathroom was clean with lots of elbow room. The other room must have been a master sweet or something it was twice a big and had lots of cool paintings on the wall. We didn't use any of the typical B&B they offer but as to the place, it was nice and if i was from out of town a good place to stay to get that real New Orleans vibe.

Yelp
I had to go to Louisiana for business and went early to take advantage of a holiday weekend before the real work began. My flight was delayed and the car rental folks were not familiar with Southern Hospitality. The Parisian Courtyard Inn was like a beacon of light by the time I got there. What a beautiful property! The location was great for walks to any of the area restaurants. The morning breakfast spread is unsurpassed. Plenty of options are available for every taste. One can take the health route with organic milk over grains or sweet rolls, danish rolls and fresh quiches. I chose to go continental with sliced meats and cheeses. A comfortable bed, a clean and quiet room, deluxe breakfast and a friendly staff is what I got. Nothing was missing.

Dage B.

Yelp
I have stayed at Parisian Courtyard Inn 3 times. My husband who travels frequently to the area has stayed at least 5 times. We love it there!!! Jesse is the coolest cat around and is very accommodating. The price is amazing and you truly want for nothing when there. There are yummy restaurants all around this location. For longer stays, there is a laundromat very close by. Don't stay anywhere else!!! You wont' regret it and you'll want to come back again and again. We are checking in today for another stay and I simply can't wait!

L. M.

Yelp
I cannot say enough good things about Tracey and the Parisian Courtyard Inn. In January, my husband and I eloped to New Orleans, and brought 6 friends along for the festivities. We stayed at the Inn and had a little ceremony in the courtyard, followed by champagne in the parlor. Tracey and staff helped to set up outdoor lighting in the courtyard for the evening ceremony, and afterwards when we moved into the parlor, we were surprised and delighted to see that Tracey had set out a tray of fresh strawberries and champagne flutes for us. We were not charged for any of this! Tracey really went above and beyond- she was warm and hospitable, and genuinely excited for us. The accommodations were clean and beautiful, and the free breakfast was actually quite good- fresh fruit, fresh pastries, juice, coffee and tea. The location is perfect- nestled into the garden district but a quick walk to the streetcar that goes to the French Quarter. Our stay at the Inn truly made our wedding, and we can't wait to go back.

B R.

Yelp
I recently stayed at Parisian for a friend's wedding that was being held in the courtyard of the inn. Management had changed between when my friend booked the inn to the time of the event and we had so many issues. First and foremost, the inn only has 10 rooms, yet somehow they managed to overbook the rooms for several of the out of town guests. Imagine our embarrassment when guests showed up to check in only to be told they didn't have a room! Various fees were added after the event was booked and pricing was agreed upon. The manager abruptly interrupted our gathering on the night of arrival and proceeded to berate the mother of the bride in front of our party! Totally unacceptable! When the wedding party tried to contact the owner to resolve several issues, none of the emails or phone calls were returned until after the event. We were very disappointed in the way this situation was handled. The inn itself is very nice but we were left with a bad taste in our mouth after we were not provided the treatment and services that we deserved and paid quite a bit for. I would advise against booking any type of event here as they were not as accommodating as they had promised to be when the wedding was being planned and booked.
