Had a traditional roast beef dinner here. All six of us ordered the same with 2 kids portions which were almost the same size as the adult meals. Service was good, food even better and prices reasonable. Definitely worth trying it out.

Delightful settings and a gorgeous restaurant. Attention to detail would give them 5 stars. We had to ask for drinks and our meals were delicious but were mixed up at service. We. Worked out they were wrong on cutting our stakes. Our food was delicious and we would.go back 2moro evening if we could afford it xx

We stayed in the 'Charming Room', room 110. The room itself was perfect but the bathroom would definitely need updated and the view from the window was horrible. Had a terrible night's sleep due to the smoke alarm on the ceiling which had a piercing green neon laser light shining on us all night!!! We told the receptionist the following morning but he was very dismissive about it. We ate in the restaurant after purchasing a voucher on Black Friday, the meal was amazing, couldn't fault it at all. The pianist in the corner was a lovely touch. We were very disappointed with the breakfast though. Although breakfast was served until 10am, we arrived at 9.25am and there was 1 croissant left and no orange juice at all on the serving table. The waiting staff didn't seem too bothered. We had to ask for juice and toast. We both ordered scrambled eggs and smoked salmon and unfortunately I have to say my 4 year old would have made it better. The scrambled eggs tasted like they'd been microwaved and the smoked salmon was a measly slither on the side. We had both finished before the toast arrived, that's how little the portion was.

Booked a room following a family bereavement to offer refreshments and a buffet. The room was well set out and I was met by a member of staff who introduced himself and said he was there to look after us. The buffet was clearly freshly prepared and the food was excellent. Reasonably priced and free parking.

Attended a wedding reception here. The whole affair was of a very good standard. The food was simple but delicious. The room we stayed in was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was delicious but no offer of toast and no sauces on view.

I love the park avenue but didn't feel it lived up to its normal standards. My partners starter was cold and his chunky chips were not cooked properly. The cocktails were lovely though! We probably will return as hopefully it was a one off. Though I would prefer some of the old bar menu back I don't love the new menu!!

The food at the wedding buffet and the breakfast the next day were lovely. The room we stayed in was spacious, nicely furnished and the bed was huge. There was also a lot of storage options for longer stays and table and two chairs for tea breaks. We really enjoyed our visit and would happily return.

Run down on the outside, food great and the service was good in function room. Bar staff not so great! Thanks to Agatha for making the night good, she even looked after a baby so groom could eat! Shes an asset to you

Yelp
The long awaited Ulster Fry. The potato bread and Soda bread was just as good as it can get . I really enjoyed it and would recommend it . Just the right amount .

Yelp
Having used the Park Avenue recently as a venue for a conference, I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I was a little apprehensive about the service we would get as in the past it was never known as an upmarket hotel, but everything was spot on and indeed it now has 4 stars. The staff went out of their way to help us set up our conference rooms, ran and got anything we needed and made sure that all the catering was exactly on time. I stayed the night before the conference and my room was really nice - plenty of room, TV and better than average furniture, bathroom and bedding. Much better than I was expecting. Breakfast the next morning was tasty and nicely presented and the Ulster Fry was grease free. Morning and afternoon breaks and lunches were good too. - freshly cooked tasty food, and lots of it. Afternoon break included fresh cream pastries which went down very well too. The Park Avenue is a lovely hotel where the staff deliver excellent service. The weekend break at £90 per person for 2 nights, breakfast and 1 dinner is outstanding value so give it a go.

Yelp
Lovely decor inside the hotel. Marco Pierre white steakhouse inside the hotel, I've never ate in the steakhouse so I can't review it yet. I have ate in gelstons corner which is the bar part in the park avenue, the food was ok. Seating area outside the bar. New carpets put down in the pa. The hotel has rooms you can hire out for functions, party's, weddings etc and food can be provided by the park avenue. Park avenue hotel have teamed up with the strand cinema where you get a main meal and a cinema ticket for £12.50. There is a jewellery and gifts cabinet at the front of the hotel and a information leaflets board with things to do in Belfast etc. Big car park outside.

Yelp
Had a few meals here overtime with the expectation that it would have improved , it didn't, the food was watery and sloppy , and I've had better microwave meals , got chicken curry and chips and it was awful , chips were pale and sloppy and the chicken curry was grisly, other meal I had was roast beef dinner, just like microwaved birdseye meal , cauliflower cheese was runny with water, wouldn't eat in here again. Nicely decorated hotel , pity about the food.

Yelp
I Ate here before a college talk in the hotel, so was only looking for a smallish dinner. I had the pulled pork panini with chips as I was told the meatballs for the Spagetti special weren't available. Pulled pork isn't really my thing but the panini was very nice, with skinny fries and crispy fried onions, although I wish the side salad had dressing instead of coleslaw. The decor within the hotel and the restaurant itself was however atrocious, and I recommend they update it.

Yelp
I think the Park Avenue has potential to be better. The staff here were very friendly, polite and helpful when needed but I had a few issues with the hotel. I stayed in the Park Avenue for 19 NIGHTS when I traveled to Belfast from the USA for the World Police and Fire Games. Being from a different country, the only way I could communicate with my job and family back home was via the internet. The Park Avenue offers free WiFi, if you can stay connected. I had two devices that I was connecting to WiFi, my laptop and my iPhone, and was constantly losing connection from both. When I was connected, the signal was incredibly weak. The only place I could get a good signal, in the toilet, holding my computer over the sink. I found this to be VERY frustrating when trying to get in touch with family. Another "issue" I had was housekeeping. They did a great job and serviced everything I needed. However, there is no "Do Not Disturb" sign in the room to hang on the door. This means that SEVERAL mornings, I was awakened by housekeeping coming in the room. I would have to get up to tell them I didn't want/need service that day. Air Conditioning: I realize Belfast doesn't get very warm, but when you are hosting people from around the world that are used to different climates, we like to be able to control the temperature a little bit. My room had A/C, and I set it as low as it would go, 19° C (66°F), but assure you, not once did my room cool off from the A/C in the 20 days I was there. The only way to cool my room, was to open the windows at night. The A/C was USELESS Park Avenue is also removed from the City Center and there is nothing to do near the hotel, so if you want to go into town, you'll need a taxi (it's cheap though, only about £5-£6) My last and final issue was having a guest denied access to the hotel. A guest that was being escorted in by me, not someone that randomly showed up. As a paying customer, and an adult, I don't expect to be treated like a child and told I am not allowed to have a visitor. Because of these reasons, it is not likely that I will stay at the Park Avenue during my next visit. I want to reiterate that the staff were very friendly and kind, it was just the way some things were operated that bothered me.

Yelp
We tried the new Marco Pierre Steakhouse for a Christmas meal. The menu was the perfect blend of traditional and non traditional dishes, with just enough vegetarian dishes to keep my veggie friend happy. The service was fantastic, although the bar was a little slow, but we did order a large number of cocktails. The food was nothing special and for the money we paid, I expected a lot more. It was not a great dinning experience, the food was not presented well and my turkey was dry. I had Christmas pudding for desert, it only came with brandy butter, so very dry and i had to pinch someone else's ice cream. The highlight was the perfectly made Mojito.

Yelp
Don't know why I bother anymore, everytime my family and I visit this establishment we're disappointed this time we called in at 5.30pm and we had just received our drinks and ordered our food when construction started not 15ft away more precisely heavy drilling and when we complainted about it we were told they'd be finished in two minutes sure enough they finished drilling in two minutes only to start hammering and what was more annoying every staff member had disappeared in my mind to avoid a further complaint so we get up to leave and pass one of the staff who we assumed was management on the way out who says folks are you not staying to which my mum replied not to listen to that racket to which the person replied sorry about that and turned on his heels and walked away and I consider this in itself to be extremely poor customer let alone all the other things we encountered this evening

Yelp
The park avenue is a fantastic hotel. Its nothing overly fancy but just a clean, homely place to stay and eat. The food is fantastic with excellent portions, choice and tastes delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful and they do a great meal deal with the stand cinema across the road. From what i remember its £10 for a meal and cinema ticket - bargin. The rooms are spacious with a fairly big bathroom ensuite. The bar has a great atmosphere and good bar food.

Yelp
The Park Avenue is a great hotel. I stay there regularly on business. The rooms are spacious, well decorated and clean, with large comfortable beds and excellent en suite bathrooms. The food is always good (especially the breakfasts) and the staff are excellent, very friendly and always helpful. There's are a good selection of meeting/conference rooms, with good service. I would especially recommend the tea and scones for meeting refreshments!

Yelp
I haven't stayed there but have had meals in the bar on a few occasions, the most recent being last Saturday. The food is basic pub fayre. Not too badly priced, tasty, and good sized portions. I would have happily given it 3 or even 4 stars except for the service. It was terrible. The bar guy was okay but the waiting staff were slow, disorganised and disinterested.
