Superb hospitality, a delicious and creative menu and some of the best tasting cocktails I've ever had! Richard and his team served up an experience to remember in San Jose. My wife and I shared several of the smaller plates, each impeccably presented, as we enjoyed our evening at the Park Cafe. Surrounded by an eclectic mix of imported antique furniture, our only regret was that this meal was at the start of our holiday rather than the end - otherwise we'd have bought some antique souvenirs as well! Fine dining at a reasonable price is not what we expected to find in San Jose - what a fantastic discovery! Richard accepts bookings over WhatsApp, making our reservation for a Saturday around Xmas very straightforward to secure.

What a gem in San Jose, Costa Rica!!! This beautiful furniture store also offers the restaurant for fine dining experience. It has very unique setup with the furniture pieces the owner, Richard, personally picked from different part of the world and OMG Richard is an amazing chef plus amazing host! I and my friend absolutely had amazing time with Richard and his sweet staffs at the beautiful place. Absolutely delicious, beautiful with amazing people! Highly recommend if you are ever in San Jose!

Highlight of our stay in Costa Rica. It's very hard to find a place that has great service, great food and great ambiance and Park Cafe has it all! This was the best meal we had during our week in Costa Rica and possibly in the past few years. We were so glad we made the 4 hour drive from Uvita. Making a reservation was easy. Knowing I would not have service for most of day, I reconfirmed the day before. Alex, our server was kind and gave us suggestions on what to order. The non-alcoholic passionfruit drink was heavenly! Richard brought out every dish we ordered, such a personal gesture. The artistic dishes matched the art of the restaurant perfectly. Every dish was just as good as the last. We had the octopus, red snapper ceviche, rabbit, prosciutto wrapped scallops, salt pastry snapper (talk about melt in your mouth). The desserts were the perfect ending to a dinner that will not be forgotten for years to come!

What an amazing place! An antique shop that doubles as a gourmet restaurant, with excellent food, tapas style. Prices are about 6,500 CRC per plate, and the plates we tried were all amazing, and their presentation was fantastic. I loved the ambiance too, the inner garden was perfect for lunch. Highly recommended!

We were incredibly lucky to visit a luxurious antique shop and a very delicious restaurant with dishes from Richard Neat. Delicious, cozy, comfortable and the beautiful Luisa will welcome you. I highly recommend visiting this gem in San Jose in Costa Rica 🇨🇷

Most gourmet restaurant in San Jose. Park Cafe has a way of making you feel at home but being so fancy! Always good to see chef Richard and his team and enjoy the delicacies they serve.

Absolutely incredible experience. And I say experience, because everything about this place is noteworthy. From having to adventure through a few antiques and wooden elephants (probably originated from an intriguing place in Asia) to get to the table, to dining among buddha-like sculptures, this is most definitely an adventure. The food is mouthwatering, and perfectly executed and paired with expertly matched wines. We ordered the tasting menu, and everything about it was to die for. I especially liked the scallops wrapped in prosciutto, the rabbit with gorgonzola gnocchis, the snapper cooked à la papillon, and the fondant with coffee ice cream. If you’re ever in San José, this place is a must!

The food is exquisite and prepared with a keen eye for presentation so the courses look as good as they taste. Every course came with its own wine which were generally very well matched to the food. The place is intimate and beautiful and the service superb. Without doubt one of the finest restaurants in Costa Rica. I highly recommend it, especially for a romantic dinner to celebrate a special occasion .
