Park Centraal Den Haag (The Hague, South Holland) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Once a 19th-century boys’ school, later a women-run hotel with the city’s first vegetarian restaurant, Park Centraal Den Haag has long been part of the city's cultural undercurrent. Today, after a thorough renovation by Sircle Collection, the building’s 160-year history is intact, from its Berlage-designed staircase to the layered details in its guest rooms: deep colors, sculptural lighting, and selected works of art. Overlooking the Royal Gardens and steps from the Hofkwartier, it is a well-placed base in one of The Hague’s most storied corners." - Tablet Hotels

A lovely alternative to the big chain hotels in the heart of Hague. Located in an area with a plethora of restaurants and street cafes and overlooking at the rear a green park and the Nordeinder Palace. The room was very comfortable with a super comfortable bed and nice shampoos etc in the bathroom. Downstairs there is a relaxed open area to sit and have a coffee or a beer. Breakfast is a buffet and very good. The central staircase is like a study in Escher perspective and adds to the quirky feel. Friendly and efficient staff. Really like this hotel!

Fantastic location, very nice lobby, rooms were very spacious and loved the extra area that we could separately put a crib. Also loved our room's balcony. Only downside, our room had a strong smell almost like stale air (despite us opening the windows) that we couldn't get used to.

I absolutely love this place. Every time I travel to the Hague that is the only hotel I am checking for availability. It is just lovely, rooms are nicely decorated and the atmosphere is very pleasant and relaxing. During our last stay I was so surprised as we got much bigger room with a balcony and such a lovely message was left in the room for me. It just made our stay so wonderful Thank you very much

Loved the design. Room is cute and design is cool. We had huge bathroom with the shower and a bath tube. It was the biggest bathroom I have had in a hotel anywhere in the world. Wow. Also location is really good. Nice restaurants near and cute streets to browse around.

Amazing hotel! One of the most aesthetically pleasing hotel I’m been too! The rooms are amazing and clean! Staff friendly and helpful (they seem like they actually like their job, something you don’t find this days). The location can’t be more central plus it’s in a cozy street

Stayed here in Jan 2025 and has a great stay. The staff were all kind and courteous. We had a room overlooking the park with a balcony and LOVED getting our morning coffee and sitting on the balcony to enjoy it. Already planning my next stay!

Rude and inattentive staff. Room was tiny. The room AC was broken. I told staff they said they said they'd look into it. 20 minutes passed. I called back and they said they will check. I returned back from a day out to the beach and returned to the room and it was extremely hot. Mind you this is during a heat wave. I called again about the AC and apparently nobody looked into it and now maintenance was gone for the day. They offered me a new room. I waited 30 minutes. Nothing. Called again. Nobody answered. Went into hallway and used hallway phone and someone finally picked up and apologized and came up to get me a new room. It shouldn't be this difficult. No courtesy for my troubles. Phone in the room don't work well because when I called staff kept saying they can't hear me. Either they don't care and don't want to listen or everything keeps breaking. New room had AC but Al that point it was already 7pm.

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Nice big bed, great shower, good coffee machine. Breakfast was good. The staff were really helpful and friendly, special thanks to Geoffrey who was super helpful. The location is great, very central, lots of nearby restaurants, less than 20 minutes to walk to the central train station.

Yelp
A pleasant midrange hotel hidden away on a small, charming street, yet convenient to sights and tram lines. Positives: * Attractive, renovated rooms with modern baths and excellent water pressure. (The website refers to Art Deco interior, but there's really no evidence of that style anywhere.) * Some rooms have small balconies that overlook the gardens behind. Request these, as we did, although you may have to pay slightly more. Great for lounging at the end of the day. There's also a common garden in the back that looks inviting; * Efficient staff; * Quiet and clean inside and out; * In-room safes accommodate laptops (mine, anyway). Negatives: * The free wifi was so slow as to be useless. We tried all possible devices at different times of day. Almost nada. Very frustrating. * The buffet breakfast is varied and attractively laid out, but it's really pretty mediocre. Ours was included in the room rate. Under no circumstances should you pay for this. You're better off at one of the cute places down the street. * A front-desk staffer tried to convince my husband that the Gemeentemuseum no longer hosted highlights from the Mauritshuis (which is being renovated). He pressed her to ask a supervisor, at which point she discovered that he was right. Her directions to the tram were accurate, anyway. Really more like 3.5 stars, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and round up.
