"Ride the Alpine Slide at Park City Mountain Resort Park City Mountain Resort was the first of Park City 's three ski areas to offer summer activities. Even though their selection of fun tickets includes mini golf, an alpine coaster, a zip line, and a climbing wall, the alpine slide is still a favorite. The scenic chairlift ride up through stands of aspen is delightful, as are the four 3,000-foot luge-like tracks on the way down. Good for all ages. You control the speed and go as fast or as slow as you like."

So fun!!! And of course my kids loved it. I remember going on this slide when I was little! First you ride up on the chair lift (a wide one that held our entire family), and then you grab a sled from the pile at the top of the mountain and wheel it over to the start of the slide. Then they stagger riders so that no one runs into each other on the slide. The current price is a little high. We got the package for the slide and the coaster (x 5 in our family). It was expensive for just one time down each. The other activities looked fun but we ran out of time because the park was closing (and we didn't want to pay for more activities). I'm glad we came but it will be awhile until we return.

Google
Very fast, very fun, and full of friendly people. Go there, get the two pack pass (coaster and alpine slide). Save a few bucks and purchase online. No hats, or bags on the rides. My kiddos (9 through 16) loved it. Under 54" they cannot ride on their own :-(. Extremely fun

Google
Most expensive hour of our lives 👎🏻 We purchased tickets for one trip down the mountain coaster, alpine slide, trampoline launch, and gold panning. Total of $430 spent! They were all terrible. It was the middle of the afternoon and the staff looked like they all desperately wanted to leave. Go into Salt Lake City or find another park to spend your money.

Google
We did the slide and the coaster. My kids liked the coaster the best. It is really pricey, $60 for two rides.

Google
Tons of fun! It’s an adrenaline boost at your fingertips! You hold the controls! The faster the funner

Stephanie Perry

Google
Oh my gosh! This was SO fun!!! We did the mountain coaster and the ski lift. It was incredible!!! Everyone was so nice, and I faced some fears. Highly recommend, and we will be back.

Google
Better places charge you for a day pass at the price you pay for 2 rides. Coaster is really slow. 1 star for the great views, but epic fail on making this worthwhile trip.

Google
Very fun activities and atmosphere. Some would say it isn't worth the price points because the attractions are definitely short. We rode the coaster for $36 a person and it was super fun and fast with great views, but lasted less than 5 minutes.

Michele H.

Yelp
We had a wonderful time. The staff were great. We did both the alpine slide and mountain coaster and they were tons of fun. No wait time for either on a Wednesday. And riding the ski lift up was nice as well. Would highly recommend!

Warren S.

Yelp
Family did both the Alpine Slide and the Coaster. Were crazy fun. Long slow rides up and fast short rides down. But lots of fun. Not cheap though. Get the "Double Play" which will save you some good bucks. But it's only good for one ride each. Very fun but you won't spend a lot of time here unless you do some of the other activities, which we didn't. Suggest getting here at or just after open. Lines are much shorter than later in the afternoon.

Brenda S.

Yelp
We had a great time, no wait on a weekday late afternoon. For people with physical challenges, please note that you will have to schlep your sled for a few minutes from the ski lift drop off to the start of the coaster. It's probably slightly higher priced than I would like it to be, but most people are on vacation and the ski lift right up is pretty as well.

Callie J.

Yelp
We are not much of skiers so the mountains snow coaster is what really excited us and then they had a package to add-on the zip line so we decided to do both. the coaster itself was so much fun and we had a blast on it some of the time you felt like you were going to completely fly off the tracks but that's not what was going to happen. what I felt was the downfall was the zip line it was very short for the amount of money that was paid and to be very candid it felt very very unsafe. there's only one seat belt that holds you in the place there's nothing that goes over your shoulders or cross your chest And you are up 40-50 feet up in the air . I would love for them to do something where you could have multiple times writing the coaster to make it worth the drive if you are not a skier.

Colby K.

Yelp
Can you say F U N!!! We had the most amazing time on the coaster and with all the snow around the scenery was perfect. Had our ears, nose and toes not have been freezing we would've stayed on this ride all day. Customer service from purchasing the tickets until we got off the ride was superior!

Jo W.

Yelp
You can choose between the slide or the coaster. I went for slides! The lady said it was more adventurous. It was really fun to ride the lift to go up the mountains. The guys who were working up there were super nice and kept complimenting my entire outfit. After getting off the lift, it was a bit of a walk to the slide location, especially with dragging the sled behind me. But once I got to go down the slides, it was super fun! The views were absolutely gorgeous, and I was lucky to come on a beautiful summer day to take in all the sights swooshing past me as I went down the slides. Definitely recommend this activity if you ever find yourself in Park City!

Kelly S.

Yelp
Pricey It's fun to go and experience it at least once. We brought the whole family here and staff were so friendly and helpful! Only thing is the wait was crazyyy long. We did get to sit on the chair lift and take a look at the locations that people go ski on! Plus, we saw some animals in the woods :D We as a whole crew did both the slide and coaster. Spent a pretty penny here.. but it was fun.

Bethany A.

Yelp
We happened across this hidden gem while hiking areas around Salt Lake City. One thing to check before going is the weather! I suppose it's pretty important if you are going up the side of a mountain to come down on a metal framed cart lol. So needless to say we didn't check the weather bc we weren't planning on finding this place. We ran into some thunder and had to wait 30 mins before we could ride. Lucky for us this awesome little area had a few shops and restaurants to wait it out in. Now for the coaster, this was the first time I've been on a single rider coaster. I was pretty nervous but also excited. Each cart actually allows you to control the speed. When you're going up you don't want to adjust anything. Simply enjoy the views. On the spiraling loops making the way down the mountain, you can slow it down if the speed feels too fast. But after one round circle I was feeling much more confident. It was so fun! We all wanted to ride again but ran out of time. If you're in the area .... Check it out!

Shawn K.

Yelp
If you want a great lesson on inefficiency, every step of this process, from ticketing to the lifts is a master class.

Avery N.

Yelp
Can't go wrong with the Alpine Slides! The adrenaline of knowing that you may fall off for going to fast is what I live for! The ski lift on the way up is really slow but it's part of the experience! It's a great place for family!

Nicki S.

Yelp
This coaster was a blast. Pricey for only a few minutes of fun, but when else do you get to take a ride on an alpine slide so go for it. You're pulled up the mountain on the track, then set free to fly down the mountain. Beautiful views and some times some quick speeds if you keep the breaks off! Really lovely as you wind through the trees down the mountain. It does require a little effort. You have to hold the handles down to keep the brakes from being on. While not too hard to do, if you are short you might struggle a little! Also if you bring a GoPro style camera they won't let you use a chest strap, and you need your hands to break so can't hold a phone, but they will let you use a helmet to shoot video.

Tommy F.

Yelp
They told me to leave because I "needed a guardian to sign a waiver" keep in mind I'm well above the age to sign my own waiver, I am a small person and they would have easily mistaken me for someone younger however I apply for both their weight limit and height limit. I've signed many waivers before and yet this place does not allow me to. Another big problem is the management and employees it is terrible I asked multiple employees if I can buy a ticket and they never responded to me, I ended up wasting my time trying to ask the employees for tickets. All in all do not visit this place if your planning on going alone and if your already there just leave don't waste your time like I did.

Amanda S.

Yelp
I love coasting lol. Great summer fun that is over priced, waiting in the longest line with the sun beating on you for a 80 second ride.. sure why not. We arrived about 11, just 1 hour after they opened, my impulse shopper decided on doing the all day pass. With short hours and long lines, we were only able to go on the coaster and slide twice each before they closed. The price wasn't really worth it for only being able to go twice on each ride. I do love that they had water stations throughout and for FREE. Also cool treats and food options which was nice and live entertainment. Regardless of the heat and prices, everyone should experience the mountain fun at least once, it is a lot of fun.

Yelp
This was my first experience on an alpine coaster and it was fun! It is pricey for a short experience but my boyfriend and I had a blast. The staff asked us if we both wanted to go on one coaster together which we said sure. There is a max weight per coaster since my boyfriend and I had to step on a scale prior to getting approved. It's going to be a snug fit with two adults on one coaster cart but we made it work. The first part of the ride is just getting to the top of the mountain which is a slow but scenic ride where you don't have to push down on the lever. Once you reach the top just press the lever to go forward (my boyfriend who was in the back seat had control of the accelerator and brake). We decided that we wanted to go super fast and not hit the brakes at all. Now, I think the weight of two adults definitely helped us going faster than others. We caught up to the adult in front of us a few times so unfortunately we had to hit the brakes to give space between the coasters. It was an exhilarating fun ride with a great view! I would definitely recommend trying out this alpine coaster at least once!

Yelp
Do you like to have fun? Then come ride the coaster. You have met your match on Utah's largest Alpine Coaster. This track winds you through more than a mile of loops, curves and hair-pin curves at speeds up to 30 mph. What is even cooler is that you can see the refreshing mountain scenery of Park City. The ride up on ski lift is wonderful as well. The experience is fantastic and fun at the same time. Prices are different based off of height. Some kids can ride with an older person as well. Be patient as the line to get on the lift can be long and if they spot lightening they stop for 30 minutes for safety. Over all a great family activity.

Yelp
4.5 STARS The roommate and I did one activity while at Park City Mountain Resort. That was, the Alpine Coaster. This happened on Wednesday, December 7th around 3:30pm. Since we are both 54" or taller, we were charged the Driver rate of $25 each, even though we shared a coaster car. (There's a Passenger rate of $10 for anyone 42"-53", but that basically applies to kids only due to the height requirement.) The roommate ended up driving and I held our GoPro while we rode the coaster. Luckily, we were the only ones on the track, so we were able to go the maximum speed! (I think the only time the roommate braked was at the end when we needed to stop.) Such a fun ride! I felt like we were going to fly off the track any time we turned! I had a blast. I believe the ride itself is around 8 mins total (including the time going up). I've read some reviews saying it's rather pricey, but I think it's worth it. (Although, the price did stop me from riding it more than once.) So. Much. Fun. I'm so glad we stopped by Park City Mountain Resort and rode the Alpine Coaster!

Dan G.

Yelp
A fun summer activity. If you're looking for speed go on the coaster instead if the slide. This is still a speedy ride but it's more a scenic ride.

Victor R.

Yelp
Save your money and go to Olympic Park staff here is extremely rude! They are not helpful and they are trained very poorly! Poor people skills, poor training, what a shame in a beautiful area!

Speedndama A.

Yelp
So much fun! Kids and adults enjoyed it. Will be back. Beautiful views. Beautiful location and the weather was amazing. Staff very friendly.

Emily H.

Yelp
This coaster was so much fun! We had done a few alpine slides at different locations, but we loved that the staff recommended us to go full speed on this coaster! There is no way to fall off the tracks, so you can enjoy the fast ride without worrying at all! (We even saw them give one person a re-ride since the person in front of them held the brakes the whole time. The staff was nice!) We got there about an hour before closing on a Friday, and there was barely any line!

Victoria V.

Yelp
A great activity for the family! The line is definitely long and the prices are not cheap, but the experience is filled with sweet memories! Some workers were better and more helpful than others. They had water and granola bars for us while we waited in line. That was truly recognized and appreciated!

Tim D.

Yelp
So they open at 12 then they preside tickets let the presenters go and the ones in line they won't sell tickets what a joke because of maintaining the coaster please that should have been done prior to open or don't open at all such a disappointing trip to park city mountain did the slide and seriously only had two open took two hours to go down once management needs to figure something out this was a waste of time

Brooks R.

Yelp
My wife doesn't ski but I really wanted a way to get her up on the mountain so she could experience it. This was the perfect thing. It only lasts about 10 minutes (8 minutes up, 2-3 minutes down) but it was fun. For an extra $2 each we paired it with the "zipline" which goes by super quickly but is definitely worth $4.

Jason F.

Yelp
Dear Park City Visitors, don't miss this! It's super fun and the wait in line goes pretty fast. I was with a number of friends and we were eager to give it a try. It's super fun, not too scary and you can always let up and put the brakes on if you get scared. The operators ask that you go all the way down without any brakes.

Laney H.

Yelp
So much fun!!! The wait was long (it was a Saturday evening, 5pm, 45 minutes) and it was a little pricey ($25 per adult, $10 for riders under 54 inches) but all in all it was great. We went really quite fast. It was exciting. Felt absolutely safe. The ride up was pleasant and the ride down only lasted a few minutes.

Ross J.

Yelp
Such a sick ride! I'm still stoked!! The only thing's that is short, but it can be solved by doing multiple rides, I did two! Super slick! It's rad.

Deborah K.

Yelp
We have visited Park City at least once or twice a year for the last decade or so yet our most recent visit is the first time we went on the Alpine Coaster. I have no idea how we had gone so long without doing this amazingly fun activity. We visited on a week day during spring break and had no issues with long waits, which seems to be the biggest complain people have. The ride consists of 1-2 people toboggans attached to a track. The ride up the mountain takes about 6 minutes and the ride down takes about 2. There are hand brakes that allow you to control how fast/slow the ride goes, making this a fun activity for even the least adventurous members of most families. We only purchased one ride, which is my biggest regret. The small added fee for additional rides is definitely worth the price and adds value. I look forward to our next visit to Park City and the Alpine Coaster, which is now a must-do activity for our family.

John M.

Yelp
What a joke biggest joke I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing they need new management bad way to waste everybody's nes time and ruin our days

Janet A.

Yelp
Shout out to Barbs. She was such a fun and helpful staff member! Super fun experience! Would definitely go again.

Suzette B.

Yelp
At the ticket window they insist that every person has to be in line to get their pass. It was super annoying of them. Made no sense just a big inconvenience

Denis B.

Yelp
Not worth the money. The coaster and slide are cool and the resort is beautiful (hence the 2nd star) but only do this if you love standing in line in the broiling hot sun for an hour each time. The employees don't even bother updating the signs for the wait times - they read 25 min but it took us 1.5 hours on a Tuesday afternoon. If you still want to do this, at least go to the park first and check out the lines. The "10% discount" for buying your tickets online is a bait & switch - they don't offer refunds if you get there and decide you don't want to be miserable. All in all, pretty disappointing for me and my family.

Harv B.

Yelp
Do not waste your money. The employees here are a total joke. 12 people standing around doing nothing. Wait times are atrocious. Save your money.

Yelp H.

Yelp
Read some reviews about lines but we did not have that problem. We loved the coaster and were laughing hysterically. Just make sure the responsible one is sitting in the back because that's who handles the brake. I gave it 4 stars just because it is so overpriced for a 5 minute ride. Definitely loved the experience. Oh and just a heads up they do weigh you before in front of everyone. Just letting you know incase you are vain like me lol.

Rick D.

Yelp
Coaster is fun, but the super slow lines and overpriced ticket are not worth it. 50 minute wait for a 90 second ride. The all day pass seems like a good deal, but you waste so much time in line that single ride tickets are a much better idea.

Lyndy M.

Yelp
A really great place. We had a blast. It's really nice that a ski resort town has fun alternatives for the summer.

Shalla R.

Yelp
Loved it! This was such a fun coaster. It pulls you up the mountain and you control how fast or slow you go. Although they tell you to no break until the end. It was about a 5 min ride down with alot if fun turns and little bumps. Definitely recommend it. The line is long because of the amount of cars and time needed to cycle through and space them out.

Brian S.

Yelp
My family and I really had a great time on this coaster. We were skiing at the Park City Resort and my friend told us about this Alpine Coaster there and I was a bit hesitant. We took a day off of skiing and we decided to go on coaster. I was shocked at how much an adult was 22 bucks and kids who have to accompanied by an adult were 8 bucks. "What the heck! We are on vacation!" Greatest decision!!! I was expecting a slow and boring ride. Was I wrong. This ride was so fun! You go pretty fast and the turns were good. The whole family was so glad that we went on this ride. We enjoyed it so much we went back before we went home.
