Park Hotel Grenoble (Grenoble, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Compared to some French cities, Grenoble’s charms are on the subtle side; its mountainside location provides some topographical interest, and it’s a major center for education, science, and technology. Similarly, the Park Hôtel Grenoble, unassuming as it is, reveals hidden strengths: a city-center location adjoining the verdant Parc Paul Mistral offers the appeal of an urban luxury hotel with a touch of country charm, and its interiors are more colorful and more contemporary than you’d be led to believe by its relatively humble façade." - Tablet Hotels

I stayed at the Park Hotel in Grenoble, part of the MGallery Collection by Accor, and overall, it was an enjoyable and stylish experience, though not quite at the level of some other MGallery properties I’ve visited.||The hotel is well located, directly opposite the lovely Parc Paul Mistral, which offers great views and a peaceful setting. The nearby tram stop makes it easy to reach the train station and explore the rest of the city. The Perret Tower in the park adds to the scenery and gives a real sense of place.||The hotel’s interior has a plush, traditional feel. The lobby retains its historic charm with elegant furnishings and a refined atmosphere. The lounge bar is especially pleasant, with chic wood paneling and an open wine display that gives the space a modern touch without losing its warmth.||Check-in was smooth and the staff were friendly and professional throughout my stay.||My room was nicely decorated, striking a good balance between comfort and style. It had a large, comfortable bed, a seating area with a sofa and armchair, and a mini bar with a Nespresso machine. The dressing area provided plenty of storage space, which was a useful addition.||The bathroom included both a tub and a walk-in shower. While that setup was convenient, the shower leaked water across the bathroom floor, which was frustrating and something other guests seem to have experienced as well.||Housekeeping missed my room on both of the days, which was a surprise given the standard the hotel aims for. However I only left in the mornings 9am - 2pm.||During my stay, Grenoble was experiencing an unseasonably hot weekend, with temperatures reaching the high 20s in April. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was not yet switched on, as it’s only operational during the summer months. When I asked about it, I was told this was normal, but it did make the room uncomfortable at times. It’s worth checking ahead if you’re visiting in spring or early autumn.||One big positive was the Wi-Fi, which was excellent, with speeds around 300 Mbps. This made working and streaming effortless.||In summary, the hotel is elegant, well located, and supported by a kind and professional team. It has a lot of charm and was a pleasant place to stay. While it may not quite reach the level of some other MGallery hotels in terms of polish, it’s still a solid option. If the rate is good and you check in advance about the air conditioning, I’d be happy to return.

This was my second stay at this hotel. The accommodations, service, and amenities are all extremely good making this once again a pleasant stay. Although parking in Grenoble is challenging, I have been consistently fortunate with finding one of the seven parking spots open directly in front of the hotel. If these are all occupied, the work to the nearest parking garage is not as close as I would like.

To put my review in context, I’ve stayed at many 4-star hotels throughout France and the world for business and pleasure travel. I would rank the Park Hotel as a 3-star hotel at best. While some of the staff were friendly and fluent in English, there were some that looked absolutely terrified when you spoke English. There was a young girl at the front desk, another girl at breakfast (who did nothing but stand around) and another at the bar who did not seem to speak English, or they were at least terrified to do so. The breakfast was quite disappointing. First, there was a lack of fresh fruit. Fresh fruit does not mean throwing a few bananas, grapes, and apples into a bowl. Some fresh cut fruit (kiwis, oranges, grapefruits, berries) would add a lot to the breakfast. There was apple sauce provided in microscopic dishes, and a strange fruit salad that tasted from a can. The pastries were decent enough. The cereal station was sad, and the bacon and sausages looked overheated from the day before. Overall, the appearance of the buffet was poor and spread all over the place with items in a refrigerator, pastries on a low table, and cereals hidden on a cart in the corner. The lobby was dated with dark interior and too many mirrors to deceive of a larger space. The rooms were decently sized and well appointed. The location is a 20 minute walk from old Grenoble, but there is a convenient tram around the corner. They charged me for one too many breakfasts, which I didn’t notice until leaving. The safe in the room is too small for most laptops, so beware. Overall, I would say the rooms are decent but I was put off by the breakfast and the staff English. I’ve stayed at the MGallery hotel in Rennes, which was far better than this one in Grenoble. This hotel is not deserving of the MGallery brand.

Google
Friendly and helpful staff and the hotel is well located. However, the rooms are dated and have few amenities. Not up to the standard I expect from a 4-star hotel nor what I expect to get from the Mgallery label.

Perfect central location with a very cozy atmosphere. The hotel is stylish, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. Our room was spacious, lovely, and very quiet. The bathroom was nice, with a separate toilet and a large dressing area—plenty of space even for a longer stay. The bed was super comfortable, and the AC was quiet and well-positioned, so there was no draft over the bed. The staff is incredibly friendly and well-trained. Breakfast is delicious, with fresh egg dishes available on request. Parking is available in a secure garage 200 meters away at a good hotel rate. We would definitely stay here again.

A very lovely stay, 10 minute walk to centre of shops and restaurants etc. comfortable rooms and good bathrooms with nice products. Fitness centre poor and they should not really advertise having one. But will stay there again, all of the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Google
A step back in time with a 1930s ambience. Lots of wood panelling. Dial telephone in the elevator. Friendly staff. Breakfast was basic, but good quality. Location excellent for the football, in a good neighbourhood with quick access to the city centre, which is within walking distance. Fridge in room, but only water available in minibar. Quiet despite the busy roads outside. Secure parking in nearby Q-Park Chauvin garage, about 3 minutes walk - the hotel can offer a discounted rate better than that available at the garage or when booking in advance via the Q-Park website. Nice lounge/bar area.

Yelp
What an amazing French charm hotel, excellent front desk, bar , breakfast and restaurant. We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary and this hotel and the service made it extra special.

Yelp
Great 4* hotel near the center of town. I had a small suite which was exclusively designed and made me feel 100% comfortable. It's almost a 5* - I guess it misses a pool or some other amenity I never even missed. Service is great, friendly and on time. Carpets clean and fresh - thank God.

Yelp
Should be rated 5 stars. Large, well-equipped, comfortable rooms, with beautiful bathrooms. Very modern, with excellent free wifi. Even the mini-bar was free. "Special Offer" @ 139 euros per night, including breakfast and parking is quite a bargain. And, the breakfast is probably the best we've had so far in 3 weeks in France: free squeezed orange juice, very fresh fruit, meat, herring, smoked salmon, eggs, bread, croissants -- the complete buffet. Small but useful fitness center. Excellent service. If ever back in Grenoble, we'd definitely stay here!
