Park Hyatt Guangzhou (Guangzhou, Guangdong Province) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Adjacent to the monumental opera house and dotted by poetic nature-inspired art pieces, this hotel positions itself as an upmarket design-led property. Guests feel right at home in the spacious rooms – connecting rooms are also available. The restaurant Living Room serves afternoon tea alongside a creative activity every day, such as embroidery or a photography demonstration." - Tablet Hotels

I recently stayed at the Park Hyatt Guangzhou and had a truly outstanding experience. May at the front desk gave me one of the warmest welcomes I’ve ever received at a Hyatt. She was patient, professional, and took the time to explain the hotel’s amenities and share helpful tips about the neighborhood.||||I also had the pleasure of meeting Chef Hector Huo, whose breakfast buffet was exceptional each morning. The quality and variety of the food were so impressive that I ended up dining at the hotel for dinner as well. The pizza I had during dinner was exceptionally good—one of the best I’ve enjoyed at a hotel. This is also coming from a born and raised New Yorker. Must try!!!||||Thanks to May and Chef Huo, my stay was both comfortable and memorable. I would highly recommend Park Hyatt Guangzhou to anyone visiting the city, and I look forward to returning on future trips.

My family and I had high expectations for this hotel after a fantastic week-long stay at the Grand Hyatt Beijing, where the staff were warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, Park Hyatt Guangzhou ended up being the biggest disappointment I've had in over 25 years of staying at various Hyatt properties around the world.||||To start with the positives: the hotel is architecturally stunning. The rooms are modern and clean, and the view—especially of the Canton Tower at night from the bar—is absolutely breathtaking.||||However, the service did not match the high standards we’ve come to expect from the Hyatt brand. Throughout our four-day stay, very few staff acknowledged us in public areas. Many avoided eye contact entirely, which was both surprising and disappointing given the reputation and level of this property.||||The first major issue occurred when I approached the front desk to ask about the Wi-Fi. The staff member assisting me was typing continuously during the entire exchange and didn’t even look up. I found this to be quite rude. To her credit, she did eventually stop, apologized, and provided her card for future assistance — which I appreciated at the time.||||Later that day, I noticed the hair conditioner in our room hadn’t been refilled and was nearly empty. Mildly annoyed, I emailed the staff member from earlier, asking housekeeping to ensure it was replenished the next day. She responded promptly and kindly, assuring me it would be taken care of.||||However, the next morning—right in the middle of washing my daughter’s hair—I discovered the conditioner still hadn’t been replaced. Anyone with a child who has easily tangled hair will understand how frustrating this can be, especially when you’ve already flagged it and received a reply. This shouldn't happen at any Hyatt property, much less a Park Hyatt. We contacted the front desk, and while they were apologetic, it was too late—we had to rush out to our scheduled activities without resolving the issue.||||The rest of our stay was uneventful, but the overall experience had already been soured by then.||||In summary: while the property itself is beautiful, with updated rooms and incredible views, it doesn't make up for the lack of attentive service and an indifferent staff. If you’re looking for a relaxing and enjoyable family vacation in Guangzhou, I would recommend considering other luxury hotels in the area. There’s no shortage of excellent options with far better service.

Amazing hotel in Tianhe, everything was perfect from check in, upgrading the room to river view and providing a bottle of red wine, to the friendly staff quickly delivering anything to the room. Most staff spoke English and felt genuinely interested in making people feel welcome. The room was big and comfortable and there was a kind of hotel Netflix with good movies available. Not cheap but definitely worth it for a luxury stay in Guangzhou, can only highly recommend this hotel.

This is a very classy hotel with excellent views.servixe is also excellent. We requested for special Indian food in breakfast. The chef "Hector Hu" made wonderful food specially for us. All things are good. Only problem was the carpets in room corridor was dirty and stained. The bed is relatively small queen bed. Overall a wonderful hotel.

We had the loveliest stay in Park Hyatt Guangzhou overlooking the Canton Tower as well as the Pearl River. The services rendered by Zone Li was amazing! He went out of his way to ensure that our family is gonna have the best stay ever as we decided to stay in Guangzhou for 8 nights. From the moment we arrive, Zone's warm attention to details made us feel right at home. He went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and his thoughtful recommendations for local attractions and dining options enhanced our stay significantly.||||It is rare to encounter someone (especially post-covid) who genuinely cares about their guests, but in Park Hyatt Guangzhou, I'm able to name Zone, Mark, Andy & Sally. Many thanks to Andy & Sally for taking good care of my daughters and us during our daily breakfast!||||Thank you once again to Park Hyatt GZ team for the outstanding hospitality, and we look forward to return again.

First of all, this is one of my favorite properties and has in recent years been my retreat during Guangzhou business trips. I am seeing a negative swing with the following:||||1) You can no longer use foreign websites. I know this is not necessarily the problem of the hotel but instead the whacky efforts of the local gov to keep its people dumb but..Not good for work when you cant use google.||||2) They definitely don't have a foreign chef anymore. The morning buffet used to be amazing.. Now it's not. Even the coffee sucked. The western food had a local flair. Definitely not a foreign chef at the moment.||||3) The shared areas were a bit hot /sticky. This is common among Chinese hotels that want to save money on air conditioning. But this is Park Hyatt.. come on.||||4) Workers "suzhi" has become much lower. Quality of the worker isn't what it used to be. They aren't as picky with their hiring process.||||Hope to see this place improve. As of now I would not come back next trip.

Stayed with family at Park Hyatt Guangzhou. Received an advance welcome call that asked for our kids' ages, but nothing came of it, no kids' amenities were prepared in advance, even with the call. The call felt rushed and impersonal, with no questions about preferences.||||Concierge was polite and proactive. Check-in was smooth but standard. Housekeeping was excellent, quick to set up the extra bed and bring kids' amenities. Breakfast staff offered warm and attentive service, which was a highlight.||||However, the room had poor sound insulation, we could clearly hear noise from the next room.||||Overall, a decent stay, but it didn't reflect the "Luxury is Personal" experience we've come to expect from the Park Hyatt brand.
