Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono (Kutchancho, Abuta-gun, Hokkaido Prefecture) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"As a rule, the Park Hyatt hotels are impressive, but even with that knowledge, the Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono feels like it’s on another level. A stunning building in a spectacular natural setting, it’s close to some phenomenal skiing, but is a worthy destination year-round. The rooms, as you’d expect, are soothing and attractive, with plentiful nods to Japanese tradition; a few suites come with private onsen baths, while everyone else makes do with those at the vast spa and wellness center. A multitude of restaurants and bars includes Molière Montagne, an outpost of chef Hiroshi Nakamichi’s Molière in Sapporo." - Tablet Hotels

From the starts of my stays till i check out, the customer service provided by the resort was truly impressive and attentive. They response to my request / queries with their best effort. One of the good things that i like is, there will always be a staff or two standing by at the lobby to attend to any question or help out whenever you need so. The rest of the restaurant staff were also very attentive, helpful and nice to the kids. As for the ski valet service, they are very helpful whenever i've come back from skiing activities. They even help to take off my kids tight ski boots and offer him a hot chocolate drinks. ||||For the price that i've paid for my room, it was worth it because it very big and easily accomodate the 4 of us with no issue. (2 adults and 2 kids) The sofa bed can be converted into a queen size bed with ease. The room is very clean when i check in. Another thing to highlight during my stays in the room, i've experience a 5.5 magnitude earthquake (Based on Japanese siesmic scale as i was informed taht day) the room still stays very safe, there's only one things that needs to be check is the pendant dinning light that might swing a lot and cause the glass cover for the lamp to be off from its intended position when the quakes hits. Overall, I'm pretty confident that the hotel can withstand such an earthquake, it's very safe to say the least.||||During my check out day, i've ordered a Toyota Alphard but instead i got a bit of a smaller car which is Toyota Voxy, so it's sort of like cramp at the back seat with my family. Upon investigation by the transportation team, it was apparently the 3rd party company that provided the wrong car / mix-up. So Park Hyatt Niseko transportation team immediately email me to appologize and refund me partially, which for me is very impressive with the fast response and action taken by the transportation team. (I thought my stays would end up in a bad taste of service but Park Hyatt manage to make it up for me).||||Overall, Park Hyatt Niseko team have done a great jobs and leaving me with a very impressive / positives experiences during my stays. Thumbs up to all the team!

Luxury experience from the moment my family was picked up from the airport to the very moment we left the hotel. I can totally see the hotel is doing their very best to create a frictionless, luxurious experience to its guest. My family of 4 just left them yesterday and my wife is already missing the quality and hospitality of the hotel. Practically it is right next to a fantastic skiing site, has many fantastic restaurants, and an effortless atmosphere that rejuvenates hardworking executives like myself. The experience didn’t come cheap but it brings a rare smile to me and much joy for my wife, my daughter and my son. I feel grateful to the Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono and would be very happy to come again.

From the Lowest of the Lows to the Highest of the Highs: We started our vacation at the Hilton Niseko because it was all that was available. The Hilton Niskeo is literally the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in my life- objectively and relatively. It is the equivalent of a 2 star motel in the US. I’m shocked Expedia has it as a 4 star hotel. The bathroom is the equivalent of a tiny RV bathroom, the room looks like it hasn’t been updated since the 70s, and worst of all the room is filthy. Sticky countertops, stained rugs, and other people’s trash on the floor. What makes this place especially terrible is the price- everything is relative to price- this place is priced like a 5 star hotel and delivers a 2 star motel experience. I've stayed at several $10/night hostels that are nicer than this hotel room. This place is so terrible, that we left after 1 night and lost all the money we spend on our 6 night refundable stay- yes, its that bad. Thank the lord, the Park Hyatt Niseko had one room left for our remaining 5 nights. To contrast the two, although the Park Hyatt is about 50% more expensive than the Hilton, it is literally about 20,000x nicer. The Park Hyatt is the most luxurious hotel Ive ever stayed at. The rooms were MASSIVE, with a huge bedroom, dining room, and living room. It has 2 huge bathrooms, three sinks, 2 closets (one walk in), a tub. Floor to ceiling glass. Its all brand new with stunning views of the mountain. The food was incredible, with about 5 great restaurants to choose from. The service is next level. Thank you Park Hyatt for literally saving our entire vacation. I don't ever leave bad reviews (look at my other 50 google reviews)- however I felt compelled to leave this one to save other travelers from ruining their vacations. I hope this helps someone.

I would like to share some feedback regarding a few issues we encountered during our stay, which affected the overall experience. 1. Room-Key–Accessed Private Ski Locker The ski locker assigned to our room was a private locker accessed exclusively by our room key during the stay. However, when we first opened it, there were personal items left inside by a previous guest, including children’s ski boots and goggle lenses. As this locker functioned as a private space similar to the guest room, it appeared that it had not been properly cleared prior to handover. 2. Shuttle Service Information From check-in through in-room phone inquiries, staff members consistently mentioned that shuttle service was available. When I later asked the front desk to provide a shuttle timetable, a schedule was delivered showing that the service would only begin three days later, along with an apology that no shuttle service was currently in operation. This gave the impression that staff members were not fully aligned on the actual status of the shuttle service. 3. English Communication on In-Room Requests The English communication experience when calling the guest room phone was challenging. For example, when requesting an extra blanket, a bedsheet was delivered instead. When requesting a down comforter, the request was not understood until I used the word “duvet.” This made simple in-room requests unnecessarily difficult. I am sharing this feedback constructively. While none of these issues were critical on their own, together they affected the sense of consistency and attention to detail expected at this level.

The hotel is right next to a fantastic skiing site, has many fantastic restaurants, and an effortless atmosphere that rejuvenates hardworking executives like myself. It’s my kids’ first skiing experience and I’m particularly impressed with the skiing instructor, Rina Takaya-san from NISS Niseko International Snowsports School. Her patience and skill are really impressive and I also see many kids are doing similar lessons with the same school. By the 2nd lesson, my son managed to take the cable car up high and ski from the top back to the hotel. He really enjoyed the experience so so much! The full hotel experience didn’t come cheap but it brings a rare smile to me and much joy for my wife, my daughter and my son. I feel grateful to the Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono and would be very happy to come again.

We had a wonderful stay at Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono. The staff were exceptional — friendly, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. Special thanks to Adam and Michael at reception, Kevin from the bell team, Opan and his Chinese teammate at the bar, and the amazing breakfast crew. Their warmth and professionalism truly made our trip memorable. Our one-bedroom apartment with a private onsen was spacious, comfortable, and had a beautiful view overlooking the mountain. We enjoyed the hot bath every morning, watching the mist drift across the slopes — a perfect way to start the day. The welcome sweets and thoughtful amenities were a lovely touch. The facilities are top-notch — great dining options, a cozy bar (loved my martini!), a relaxing onsen, an indoor pool, and a well-equipped gym. Dinner at the Japanese restaurant was outstanding — the hot pot, sashimi, and sake tasting were absolute highlights. Breakfast was equally impressive, with a wide Japanese and Western spread — especially the Hokkaido Poke Bowl, Egg Benedict with scallops, and the croissant of the day. The only small hiccup was our arrival — we were redirected to check in at the residence side where assistance wasn’t immediately available. Thankfully, the experience improved right after, and everything else was flawless. Overall, we loved our stay and will definitely return. Highly recommended for a relaxing and luxurious escape in Niseko.

It's a very nice hotel but it's not up to Park Hyatt standards. The property itself is beautiful and has been finished to a very high standard, incorporating both Hokkaido and international elements of design. Service is really what lets this hotel down. If you are used to the service in the Park Hyatt Tokyo or Kyoto you will need to alter your expectations significantly if you come here. Service is not bad as such but is just very unpolished. I suspect this is largely due to the seasonal nature of hotel with large numbers of staff brought in for the winter ski season. These are largely young inexperienced staff from overseas many of whom told us that it was there first job they had had in a hotel like this. Everyone was very friendly but their lack of experience resulted in a few issues such as wrong information provided at check in, incorrect food orders, issues with the room not being sorted, and restaurant bookings not being made. All of these things on their own are fairly minor but together add up to a fairly poor impression - especially considering the price point of the hotel (£1000+ per night in high season). We found the food at the onsite restaurants to be very good except breakfast which was a fairly mediocre buffet style affair. There was only one a la carte option which was eggs benedict which was fairly disappointing and again not up to usual PH standards.

I stayed at this resort during the down season almost before the busy season kicks in. Hotel was huge and they offered me a better room with my status. This place is expansive and the views from each view were of quality sights. The in room onsen was a key player of why I chose this place, it was easy to manage and great for my wife and I to relax after a long trip of walking in Japan. The in room dining was easy to manage and food was delivered immediately. All cushions and bed cushion was plush. The staff workers were amazing and they were hospitable during my breakfast as well. There were many options and a vast choice of Hokkaido milk, which was my desire due to visiting this area. This place would be amazing during the winter and snowboarding.

Yelp
The Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono is an aspirational property in the Hyatt portfolio Situated in a world-class ski resort and featuring exceptional service with an impressive selection of over 10 hotel-based restaurants including Michelin-star Sushi Mitsukawa and fine dining establishment Moliere Montagne, the Park Hyatt is notoriously difficult to book during peak ski season Fortunately, during the mild summer Hokkaido months and as a relaxed outdoor destination, availability including suite upgrades is much easier Park Hyatt Niseko had stunning architecture and gorgeous rooms and is easily one of the nicest Hyatt properties I've ever visited The included Globalist breakfast buffet is fantastic (featuring unlimited sashimi) and the entire Niseko Kutchan area has a undiscovered charm during the quieter months Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazone (Kutchan, Hokkaido, Japan)

Yelp
This Park Hyatt is stunningly beautiful--the landscape and views surrounding the location are breathtaking in the summer. I can only imagine what winters must look like. My husband and I decided to book this location as part of our two week long first year anniversary travels. When you first arrive, you're warmly greeted by the most attentive staff. We were welcomed by Roberto, who not only made us feel welcome after a long drive but even took notice of an injury I received earlier in the trip--offering whatever assistance I needed to ensure my comfort during our stay. Once you pass through the austere exterior, you're greeted with a very familiar dimly lit minimal decor that is consistent with other Hyatt locations of similar calibre. At first, the main building and lobby is a bit difficult to navigate. But with the help of a map that is provided and thoughtful guidance from the staff, you'll quickly become adjusted to where everything is The rooms are large and spacious. Everything is pristinely clean and the bed is nice and firm with two plush pillows each side. The view from our room is just stunning. I realise there are many different views one could ask for but I am more than happy with a lush tree line to wake up to in the morning. The public onsens are indoors and separated by "Ladies" and "Gentlemen". Time is booked via an app and offers a generous 50 minute time block. It's worth noting there is no policy against tattoos. The space is well-designed and easy to navigate. They consist of a locker room and vanity area. There are two hot baths and a cold bath--as well as a sauna. The sauna is very strong, so be prepared. Breakfast is held in the deli where there is a full staff preparing and rotating the selection. They didn't miss a beat. I was fortunate to have met Steven, the chef who appeared to be directing the breakfast service. He made us feel very welcomed and looked after. We are visiting in the summer, but there are a ton of amenities for the ski season. We may, just may entertain a trip back during the winter. ;) Highly recommend for anyone looking for a calm and attentive location to rest. For me, this was much needed respite after a pretty hard trip after a hiking accident hiking in rural Hokkaido. I couldn't think of a more thoughtful place to spend a couple of nights to heal.
