Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono (Kutchancho, Abuta-gun, Hokkaido Prefecture) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"As a rule, the Park Hyatt hotels are impressive, but even with that knowledge, the Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono feels like it’s on another level. A stunning building in a spectacular natural setting, it’s close to some phenomenal skiing, but is a worthy destination year-round. The rooms, as you’d expect, are soothing and attractive, with plentiful nods to Japanese tradition; a few suites come with private onsen baths, while everyone else makes do with those at the vast spa and wellness center. A multitude of restaurants and bars includes Molière Montagne, an outpost of chef Hiroshi Nakamichi’s Molière in Sapporo." - Tablet Hotels

We had a wonderful stay at Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono. The staff were exceptional — friendly, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. Special thanks to Adam and Michael at reception, Kevin from the bell team, Opan and his Chinese teammate at the bar, and the amazing breakfast crew. Their warmth and professionalism truly made our trip memorable. Our one-bedroom apartment with a private onsen was spacious, comfortable, and had a beautiful view overlooking the mountain. We enjoyed the hot bath every morning, watching the mist drift across the slopes — a perfect way to start the day. The welcome sweets and thoughtful amenities were a lovely touch. The facilities are top-notch — great dining options, a cozy bar (loved my martini!), a relaxing onsen, an indoor pool, and a well-equipped gym. Dinner at the Japanese restaurant was outstanding — the hot pot, sashimi, and sake tasting were absolute highlights. Breakfast was equally impressive, with a wide Japanese and Western spread — especially the Hokkaido Poke Bowl, Egg Benedict with scallops, and the croissant of the day. The only small hiccup was our arrival — we were redirected to check in at the residence side where assistance wasn’t immediately available. Thankfully, the experience improved right after, and everything else was flawless. Overall, we loved our stay and will definitely return. Highly recommended for a relaxing and luxurious escape in Niseko.

I stayed at this resort during the down season almost before the busy season kicks in. Hotel was huge and they offered me a better room with my status. This place is expansive and the views from each view were of quality sights. The in room onsen was a key player of why I chose this place, it was easy to manage and great for my wife and I to relax after a long trip of walking in Japan. The in room dining was easy to manage and food was delivered immediately. All cushions and bed cushion was plush. The staff workers were amazing and they were hospitable during my breakfast as well. There were many options and a vast choice of Hokkaido milk, which was my desire due to visiting this area. This place would be amazing during the winter and snowboarding.

Absolutely unacceptable experience for a Park Hyatt standard. Avoid until they fix basic hospitality. The stay began with promise: a special anniversary trip, a 2 hour drive from New Chitose Airport through snowy and dangerous roads, and a three night reservation in a Residence room with a private onsen. When you commit to that kind of journey for a Park Hyatt, the expectation is an unmatched experience. What followed was anything but. Day 1: Arrival We entered our room and were immediately greeted by bugs everywhere. Dead insects in the towels and robes. Live flying insects in the private onsen. Bug shells and carcasses floating in the bath as it filled. (We never opened the windows, so these were not from us.) We notified the staff and were given fresh towels and robes. No apology, no urgency, no real solution. Exhausted from travel, we let it go for the night. Day 2: Still No Action The next morning more bugs had appeared. We went to the front desk and again explained the issue. The response was, “We will have the staff clean your room.” No offer to move rooms. No compensation. No acknowledgment of how unacceptable this was. That night I simply started killing insects myself because it was clear the hotel was not going to address the situation. Day 3: Failure in Service Recovery We returned after being out for the day and found even more bugs. At this point I called the manager directly and explained everything in detail. Their attempts at resolution were insulting: 1. Move to a larger residence, on the final night of our stay, after complaining since night one. 2. A prepared breakfast since we were leaving early. 3. 10,000 Hyatt points and a “gift.” With no better alternative we accepted the final offer. Checkout: The Final Insult While reviewing the bill there was a 570 yen spa charge. We never visited the spa or purchased anything. The front desk suggested it was for a hand cream. It turned out to be the same hand cream included in the “gift,” along with a small box of chocolates. They attempted to charge us for the compensation gift they promised. Overall This was an off season week with extremely low occupancy, confirmed by staff. So why was the service so poor if there were no crowds and no pressure on operations? I understand that bugs can occur near nature. However, it is the hotel’s responsibility to maintain basic standards. Treat the windows. Seal gaps. Address the issue instead of handing out replacement towels and pretending nothing is wrong. Final Verdict This is a Park Hyatt. It is supposed to represent the highest level of Hyatt hospitality. Instead it felt like it was run by inexperienced staff with no understanding of service, accountability, or brand standards. Do not stay here until management has meaningfully addressed these operational failures. There are far better properties in the area. Spoke with Hy (I believe) who gave me the run-around blank-face apology.

If you expect Park Hyatt standards, this hotel will not disappoint you. I booked a standard room through Amex, and I really doubted they upgraded me. But the room is really spacious with a nice dining and sitting area and a second full bath, something I have not seen in any Park Hyatt I have stayed in. The complementary ticket to take the gondola up the ski mountain at night to see the light and firework show is a real treat. All other aspects are like what you will expect in a luxury hotel. My only complaint is one of my dinners in the Asian restaurant is not up to expected standard. The included breakfast in the same locale is far superior.

Our four-night stay at the Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono was magical. Everything was perfect and I’m very grateful to everyone who made our stay so fantastic. The hotel itself is very elegant and comfortable. Our deluxe suite (with private onsen) - room 667 - was honestly breathtaking. Great views of Mount Yotei, two bathrooms and a dressing room, a very comfortable lounge and lovely big bed. The hotel had so many great facilities: a 24-hour gym, onsen, great lounge (the Buttered Kingston cocktail was amazing), delicious breakfast (with a vast selection of high-quality items!), a games room for children and the onsite restaurant we tried (Teppan) was outstanding! Everyone we met was kind, professional and lovely to talk to. We also loved having s’mores and seeing the fireworks and mountain lights. Hokkaido was so beautiful - we loved hiking and hiking here - and resting up in our Onsen afterwards. The Park Hyatt was a beautiful place to start and end each day. I’d love to return!

Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono is truly a place I hold close to my heart. The scenery transforms beautifully with each season—autumn and winter alike are breathtaking. What touched me most were the genuine smiles and kindness of every staff member; their thoughtful care and hospitality made me feel completely at home. My stay was peaceful, relaxing, and filled with moments of quiet beauty. It was, in every way, a perfect holiday that I will remember fondly and hope to experience again.

My family spent 3 nights on the residence side of the property. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by professional and knowledgeable staff. The property itself is luxurious and very well maintained. Furnishings and decor is spotless in the rooms and throughout the property. Many thoughtful touches are evident such as the fine china provided and the beautiful lighting throughout in the rooms. We enjoyed the variety of dining options. Much of the produce is locally sourced and well prepared. Special shoutout F&B manager Robin Yang who helped arrange a delicious and special nut free birthday cake with minimal notice. A very special place, we cannot wait to visit again soon!

My wife and I travel on vacation quite a bit. This hotel is a great combination of being newer, architecturally beautiful and well designed rooms. Most importantly, all of their staff are service oriented, responsive and professional. Language was not a barrier at this hotel as there is always someone willing to step in and help. Absolutely world class.

Yelp
The Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono is an aspirational property in the Hyatt portfolio Situated in a world-class ski resort and featuring exceptional service with an impressive selection of over 10 hotel-based restaurants including Michelin-star Sushi Mitsukawa and fine dining establishment Moliere Montagne, the Park Hyatt is notoriously difficult to book during peak ski season Fortunately, during the mild summer Hokkaido months and as a relaxed outdoor destination, availability including suite upgrades is much easier Park Hyatt Niseko had stunning architecture and gorgeous rooms and is easily one of the nicest Hyatt properties I've ever visited The included Globalist breakfast buffet is fantastic (featuring unlimited sashimi) and the entire Niseko Kutchan area has a undiscovered charm during the quieter months Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazone (Kutchan, Hokkaido, Japan)

Yelp
This Park Hyatt is stunningly beautiful--the landscape and views surrounding the location are breathtaking in the summer. I can only imagine what winters must look like. My husband and I decided to book this location as part of our two week long first year anniversary travels. When you first arrive, you're warmly greeted by the most attentive staff. We were welcomed by Roberto, who not only made us feel welcome after a long drive but even took notice of an injury I received earlier in the trip--offering whatever assistance I needed to ensure my comfort during our stay. Once you pass through the austere exterior, you're greeted with a very familiar dimly lit minimal decor that is consistent with other Hyatt locations of similar calibre. At first, the main building and lobby is a bit difficult to navigate. But with the help of a map that is provided and thoughtful guidance from the staff, you'll quickly become adjusted to where everything is The rooms are large and spacious. Everything is pristinely clean and the bed is nice and firm with two plush pillows each side. The view from our room is just stunning. I realise there are many different views one could ask for but I am more than happy with a lush tree line to wake up to in the morning. The public onsens are indoors and separated by "Ladies" and "Gentlemen". Time is booked via an app and offers a generous 50 minute time block. It's worth noting there is no policy against tattoos. The space is well-designed and easy to navigate. They consist of a locker room and vanity area. There are two hot baths and a cold bath--as well as a sauna. The sauna is very strong, so be prepared. Breakfast is held in the deli where there is a full staff preparing and rotating the selection. They didn't miss a beat. I was fortunate to have met Steven, the chef who appeared to be directing the breakfast service. He made us feel very welcomed and looked after. We are visiting in the summer, but there are a ton of amenities for the ski season. We may, just may entertain a trip back during the winter. ;) Highly recommend for anyone looking for a calm and attentive location to rest. For me, this was much needed respite after a pretty hard trip after a hiking accident hiking in rural Hokkaido. I couldn't think of a more thoughtful place to spend a couple of nights to heal.
