We checked into the Park Hyatt earlier this afternoon... and after 2 weeks on the road, traveling through Europe... we were made to feel like we were home.
The receptionist who checked us in, Sophia, was very pleasant, and welcomed us to the hotel. She quickly checked us in, and offered to show us to our room. We were pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade to a Park Suite.
Room is massive, on the 5th floor... and has a living area, bedroom, and a nice sized bathroom. Living room is appointed with Bang and Olufsung TV, and stereo system, a seating area, and a nice work desk, next to a room dividing book case. Bedroom has a very comfortable bed, another B&O TV, and a nice walk-in closet and an area to get ready. Bathroom is also large, with a double sink, closed off shower and WC, and a nice tub highlighted in the room.
After dinner, we walked around the hotel, and the ginger bread house caught our eye. When we walked over, Sophia came by and chatted with us. Talking about tea, we mentioned that we missed home made Chai in the mornings... A little while later, when we were back in our room, Sophia sent over chai spices, tea cups and a tea pot. I had mentioned to her that i had a sore throat, and she also sent up some ginger.
Beyond everything else, this level of thought and care really makes a tremendous difference.
Hotel is great, room is nice, but the service is beyond professional.. it is personal.
Looking forward to our next few days here.
