Park Inn by Radisson Reykjavik Keflavík Airport

Came in quite late here. Had a short stay. Staff was friendly nothing too odd. Hands nice room hotel was quiet and had all I needed. Did not have breakfast or dinner. Rooms are spacious and clean. It is advised to order a cab in the evening if you have an early flight.

I have been meaning to write this review for sometime. In May I stayed at Park Inn by Radisson in Iceland. I arrived earlier than expected and was prepared to wait, but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate me right away. Their efficiency and hospitality truly set the tone for a wonderful stay. The hotel is impeccably clean, and every detail felt thoughtfully managed. It’s also incredibly affordable for the level of comfort and service provided. I was particularly impressed with how well-organized everything was, from check-in to check-out. I’ve already recommended Park Inn to others traveling to Iceland soon, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again myself. If you’re looking for a place that’s welcoming, spotless, and budget-friendly, this is it!

I had a 15 hour layover in Reykjavik so decided to get a hotel room. The hotel was clean. The young man at the front desk when I checked in at 8 PM was very pleasant. I joined the rewards program and received a bottle of water and a room upgrade. Both appreciated as I am at the end of a long trip. I loved the size and style of the room - sleek and modern. I do wish there was a shuttle as I had to spend USD 33 each way on a taxi, which is pricey for a 5-6 minute ride. It was easy to get a taxi and the drivers were pleasant.

Fine location. Good staff. Worse pillow (pillow, not pillows - only one per guest) I have ever tried to sleep on. Room was nice. Shower drained very slowly. Mattress was very firm. The only pillow was like someone stuffed a couple of T-shirts into a pillow case. Almost impossible to sleep on. If I had 2 pillows I might have been able to make it comfortable. But it was just one, thin, cheap pillow. If you have an early flight out of Iceland and want a good nights sleep, look somewhere else or bring your own pillow.

We really wanted a place to stay close to the airport and didn't have a lot of options. The Park Inn had positive reviews (clean and close to airport) so we booked here. Even for Iceland lodging prices, it's pretty expensive for what you get - you are mostly paying for convenience of being near the airport. The hotel and room was nice and clean. The bathroom was a bit dinged up and had a slight odor (likely because of the floor drains common in all hotel/lodging restrooms here). What surprised us the most was breakfast was not included. We couldn't recall being prompted to pay to include breakfast during booking/seeing that it was included (just that hotel breakfast was an option), but at check-in they mentioned we could add it on for 33 euros a person. The person at check-in was nice and said the buffet was very impressive, but we opted out. Also note that the rooms are not carpeted, so you can hear walking/movement from the room above you.

The staff was great. I’ve stayed here several times & always been satisfied. My first night I had to call down to housekeeping because I don’t think the pillow case had been changed on my bed. There was a strong smell of men’s cologne on the pillow & both pillows were old & “lumpy”. - old cheap pillows where the stuffing was lumpy & separated. I called the front desk & they came up right away with 2 new pillows. Theses pillows had no scent, but still lumpy. After the first night - I asked the front desk if they could find hypoallergenic pillows or anything else. They came right up with 2 more pillows but they were the same quality. POOR - sheets & pillow cases were worn out. I was grossed out. 🤢

This is beyond outrageously bad . I get wanting to have corporate events - but seriously don’t rent rooms. Oktoberfest celebration - wonderful but the reason to stay here is to sleep early and get early flight out.||The massive party and drums and noise is a disgrace to the Radisson Brand.||On a positive note , the clerk who checked us was very polite and did best she could. She did move us from a room (how the room and hallway smelt like bad cooked food is another question) to a much nicer room - still very noisy but acceptable and a least did make one sick from the smell.

Fantastic option to catch a few Zzzs if you're getting in on an early flight! They allowed us to check in 6 hours early (8am) for a fee of $72 USD (Receptionist gave us a $40 discount for being a Radisson loyalty member, I signed up just the day before). This allowed us to quickly adjust to the new time zone and not have any jet lag! This in itself is a selling point for this hotel, many don't allow you to do this and you end up sitting in the lobby or your car until 2/3pm to check in. The facility looked older on the outside but has been completely renovated on the inside. Big shower and bathroom, couch and table in just a standard room. Breakfast wasn't included but was a nice spread. There is a bistro bar onsite that was very cool, library books and dark academia themed and the food was not 5 star but it was delicious and hit the spot. Highly recommend this hotel!
