Park Inn By Radisson Shannon Airport

Dear Louise,||I hope this message finds you well.||I had occasion to stay at the Park Inn by Radisson Shannon Airport on Wednesday night, 14th, while returning late from Lanzarote. Given the hour and the rather “dodgy looking” roads, the hotel seemed the sensible and safe option. I checked in shortly after midnight.||On arrival, everything looked splendid. The décor was genuinely impressive modern, stylish, and clearly well thought out. Your staff were friendly, courteous, and welcoming, which immediately set a positive tone.||I requested a beverage from the night duty manager and was advised that Guinness was the only option available. No problem at all Guinness is rarely a bad decision. However, the pint that arrived in the residents’ lounge looked a little underwhelming, with a bubbly head that suggested it might have been having a bad night of its own. Sadly, it drank about as well as it looked.||On my way to the room221, I was struck by the framed photographs lining the corridors a wonderful collection of “Old Hollywood” A listers and notable figures, from Marilyn Monroe and Bing Crosby to Fidel Castro Ruz and Brendan O’Regan, the visionary behind Shannon Duty Free. It was an inspired and enjoyable touch.||The bedroom itself was very clean and well presented, though the bathroom was on the compact side. Unfortunately, this is where my experience took a sharp turn.||At approximately 3:00am, I woke up absolutely frozen. Assuming I had kicked off the covers, I borrowed the bed clothes from the spare bed and eventually fell back asleep briefly. Not long after, I woke again to what felt less like a hotel room and more like an overnight survival challenge in the Arctic. Despite my best efforts, warmth remained elusive.||In the morning, I must say, breakfast was excellent and faultless no complaints whatsoever there.||However, at a rate of €159 bed and breakfast, I left feeling that the overall experience did not represent value for money. While the hotel excels in presentation, atmosphere, and staff professionalism, a comfortable night’s sleep is non negotiable, and unfortunately, on this occasion, it was not delivered.||I share this feedback in the spirit intended, constructive and honest and I hope it proves helpful.||Kind regards,||Joe Hare|TUAM

I was warmly welcomed by Jiullia and her 2 colleagues at reception. Though it was 11pm, food was still available in the hotel. This is a great service, for guests arriving late after a flight. There was also a vending machine selling snacks and minerals, again providing a service for guests arriving after a flight. My room was beautiful, with quality bed linen, water and tea/coffee facilities. The breakfast buffet was very good quality. Natalia also gave me a menu offering omelette, scrambled/ poached egg and porridge. Natalia and her colleague looked after the guests attentively. I highly recommend Park Inn Radisson Shannon airport for customer service, quality, location and value.

A wonderful stay made even better by an incredible team! From the moment we arrived, we were met with genuine warmth and care. Lisa at the front desk deserves a special mention — she was absolutely fantastic. She went out of her way to help us with bus and taxi options, even booking our tickets and recommending the best local spots to visit. She’s truly a credit to the front office and such a friendly, welcoming face to meet after travelling. In the bar, Luke was nothing short of brilliant — an immaculate barman with a real eye for great food and drink pairings. You can tell he takes pride in what he does, and his easygoing manner made us feel completely at home. The manager on duty, Natalia, was professional, warm, and attentive throughout our stay. It’s always lovely to see a manager so approachable and present with both guests and staff. The housekeeping team were also amazing — not only did they keep our room spotless and comfortable, but they helped me recover something I had misplaced during a previous stay, which I truly appreciated. Everything was done to the highest standard, and that attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a room upgrade after signing up for the Radisson Rewards membership at check-in — such a thoughtful touch! Lastly, a big thank you to Gerry, the night porter, for being a friendly and reassuring presence in the early hours and kindly guiding us to the airport. The entire stay was spectacular, made even more memorable by a team whose attitude was always “yes, we can.” This hotel is a fabulous welcome to Ireland — only minutes from the airport, yet filled with warmth and heart.

Great location, just a few meters from the Departure terminal. The hotel is beautifully decorated and feels very warm and welcoming. The food at the bar is excellent, though a little pricey. Parking is available and free, which is a big plus. Special thanks to Yulia at reception—she was friendly and professional.

I recently stayed at the Park Inn by Radisson in Shannon and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The location couldn’t be more convenient — it’s literally just across the road from the airport, making it perfect for early flights or late arrivals. The staff were all incredibly welcoming and helpful, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere throughout my stay. My room was spotless, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet considering how close it is to the airport. The bed was very comfortable, and I had a great night’s sleep. The food in the restaurant was excellent as well — good variety, fresh ingredients, and generous portions. Breakfast had everything you could want, from hot options to pastries and fruit. Overall, the Park Inn is a great choice for anyone flying in or out of Shannon. The combination of location, comfort, and service makes it a place I’d definitely stay again. Highly recommended!

We had dinner at this hotel several times, and each time the experience was excellent. We would especially like to acknowledge Mrs. Olya, who, in our opinion, works as a manager or supervisor. She was incredibly sincere, friendly, and attentive to all our requests. We are truly grateful for her wonderful service, especially for listening to our preferences and serving the steak exactly with the doneness we wanted. The next day, she again showed a high level of professionalism and kindness. We are very thankful for her work and wish this establishment to have more employees like Mrs. Olya. Thank you very much!

decent airport hotel, very comfy bedding!(mattress, pillow and duvet) the problem for me is the room temperature-heating is placed next to the window and the room temp is pretty low for me. the food is great. breakfast includes buffet and some by order (oat porridge and pancake), pretty surprised by the selection available!

My experience at the Park Inn by Radisson at Shannon Airport was genuinely very nice.||Easy booking: I was able to book my room in person upon arrival with no hassle at all.||Breakfast: The breakfast is convenient and fairly priced, offering good value for what you get.||Restaurant & Bar staff: The team working in the restaurant and bar are extremely friendly and welcoming. They truly take care of their guests and carry out their roles with professionalism and warm hospitality. The food served in the bar and restaurant is tasty, cooked professionally, and prepared with great attention to detail.||Housekeeping: The housekeeping team is friendly, accurate, and highly professional in the way they do their work. I would like to especially thank Valerie, who prepared my room so nicely and with such great attention to detail.||Overall, a pleasant stay and a hotel I would gladly return to.

We enjoyed the meals and bar service by the excellent wait staff. Not a lot of choices but the food was really good. The room for our stay was adequate, not large but the location next to the airport makes it the perfect choice if you are flying in or out of Shannon.

5 stars for the location being walkable distance to the airport. 3 stars for the comfort of the bed. 5 stars for the breakfast. The hotel is in the same parking lot area as the airport allowing it to be an easy walk to your departing flight. There was a walking path where it was easy to stroll out suitcases. There were luggage carts outside of the hotel to easily transport your bags where you could leave them outside the airport. The beds were stiff and the pillows were lumpy. Nothing screamed comfort and I tossed and turned throughout the night. Also there was no air conditioning like most of Ireland so the room was hotter than I prefer. We paid 13 euro for breakfast. Which had a lovely coffee machine that made a nice cappuccino. They had everything for the traditional Irish breakfast except the baked beans. You could order an omelette or eggs of your liking from the server. I got the poached eggs.

The location saving hotel! So rented a car (1st time doing stick from the left) and after after a few scares on the roundabouts and hills going to the cliffs of moher, I gave up and returned the rental car. Couldn't make it down to Ballinskelligs, so saw there was hotel right across from the airport & car rental and so decided to give it a try and was happy I did! The room was bright and had a coffee/tea bar, bathroom was bright and they had Dove product (the best soaps!)! Windows could open to bring in fresh air (with a safety lock). The next morning we went over to the airport to get a cab and it only took a full 5 minutes, so this is a perfect location for this hotel! Staff was wonderful and helpful and would highly recommend!

Fabulous meal for dinner. Lovely staff and the quietest hotel we've ever stayed in. Great way to end a lovely week.

What can I say but they get the job done. You cannot beat the location with either flying in and catching up on sleep or flying out and wanting to be close to airport. I have been staying here for over 20 years. Could they improve the property sure but it works well as it is. However since the last time I stayed there pre Covid I have noticed a bit of a change in the food offerings on the menu it would be nice to have a broader selection especially since if you are eating there since you can't really get to a nice place to eat without a car. The breakfast for an Irish hotel could have been better. The staff are courteous and professional as always although I did pay for two estuary view rooms and received two rooms that have a view of the parking lot.

Stayed here overnight to catch an early flight back to the USA. Dropped off our rental car and had a nice meal at the restaurant located at the inn. This is a nice, quiet place to stay. I felt very comfortable there and recommend this inn and the restaurant!

Biggest Pro: The hotel is a 3 minute stroll from the Shannon Airport. Perfect, if you're coming off of a long red eye flight. Biggest Con: There is nothing particularly Irish or charming about this hotel. The lobby looks new and chic, but the rooms are primary colors, light wood, and Ikea modern.

Have been staying at Park Inn for years. Convenient spot to stay night before early flight to USA. Can't beat 30 second walk to terminal! Renovated rooms a big improvement- make stay much more enjoyable. Friendly service in pub and good menu selection- from basic bar food to full service restaurant meals. Great spot to wrap up what was hopefully an enjoyable trip to Ireland!

5 stars for a few reasons - the location in proximity to the airport is wonderful. It's just a 3 minute walk to departure hall from the hotel front door. Great for those early morning international flights. The staff was so pleasant - a huge thank you to Jackie for being so kind and helpful. The bar has wonderful food and friendly staff - thank you, Magda. Beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. Overall, I recommend this hotel to anyone who needs accommodations close to Shannon airport. The hotel is a gem!

Comfortable accommodations, friendly staff and convenient location 200 yards from the terminal at Shannon Airport. The room included a hot pot for coffee or tea and a trouser press.

I stayed here about two weeks ago the night before I was to catch my plane out of the Shannon airport. When I got to the room it was warm so I tried to find the thermostat so I could turn on some cool air. I called down to the front desk to ask them and they said that there are not temperature controllers in the room. They said they would bring me up a fan which they did very quickly and promptly which I appreciated. That's why am giving this four stars because I think that you should be able to control the temperature of your room. I don't know that's how we do it in the United States...There's one thing I would like to give 100 stars for and that is the sausages at the free breakfast in the morning. Normally I don't like sausages but these were AMAZING!!!!! I wish I had taken the rest of the sausages and dump them into my suitcase to have when I got home to the United States. I was thinking of catching a flight back to Shannon just to have some sausages and then fly home again.

This is a small hotel just crossed the street from Shannon's airport. After having my flight diverted to Shannon and had an emergency landing, let's say I was not in the best mood possible. However, the hotel staff was very accommodating and making sure we had the best experience possible given the circumstances. Dinner was provided and it was great, had a simple fried cod and mashed potatoes. You could tell the fish was fresh and hand battered. The hotel also has a nice pub. My room was simple, nothing fancy, but very clean. Overall, given the circumstances of my visit, my experience was very positive. The hotel staff was outstanding. This is a great alternative for a quick stay.

So disappointed with this hotel. Due to the grounding of 737 airplanes I had to cancel my trip to Ireland. I contacted The Radisson a couple months in advance to cancel my reservations and the hotel would not refund me my money :( Really ???

Great hotel just what I needed after a 18 hour trip from Dallas. The diner in the bar was great as well food was outstanding. 5 stars all the ways !!!!

Pros: You can walk to the airport. Kindly comped drinks at the bar because of the mold in the bathroom. Cons: Black mold all over the bathroom ceiling and in the shower. No elevator. The walk to the room carrying your luggage - upstairs. Clearly updated the lobby/common areas to something sleek, but the room I stayed in was very outdated and did not feel clean. Large 1970's wood L-shaped desk took up substantial space, old (not flatscreen) television, one of those old trouser press machines in the room but no hairdryer. But it was the moldy feeling that would keep me from coming back.

Granted, this is near the airport, but I thought this place was horrible. There was construction going on when we stayed there, so the noise level was really bad. They have this weird hand dispenser in the shower instead of shampoo that didn't work and the bed had a comforter that was way too small for it. Food is horrible and overpriced.

Nice looking hotel, but under the surface it's pretty crappy. Warmed over breakfasts. Slow check ins. No elevator to some rooms....yes you'll have to hall your bags up/down stairs. Rooms do not have privacy curtains so your room is either in full view of the one opposite or in darkness. Small bath/showers, no wash cloths, watery soap stuff instead of shampoo. Walk in the rain to the airport along a hard to navigate path. Restricted Internet unless you pay more. Limited tv. Staff are friendly. Rooms are clean. It's a stones throw from the terminal. Tip. If dropping off rental car, do so after business hours. You will be instructed to leave in in short term parking next to the airport and hotel. If you get there during business hours, you'll have to go through a laborious return process and get the shuttle from the return lot.

Most hotels very near airports are crap. This one is a 90 second walk from the terminal and a nice place. The staff are very friendly, rooms are clean, and free wi-fi. I believe there is a fitness center on the property as well. Restaurant isn't bad, although my burger took forever. If you are ever on an unplanned layover (like I was) in Shannon, make a beeline for this hotel vs. going with what your airline says (which will be a bus ride away and likely a dump).
