Park Lane impresses at first glance with its beautiful decor and quiet location, but unfortunately the experience falls short where it matters most: service and food.||We stayed for eight nights—significantly longer than the average guest—splitting our time between the Park Studio Apartment and an Executive Studio Room. While the rooms were aesthetically pleasing, they were not maintained to the standard expected of a four-to-five-star hotel. Upon arrival, water marks were left on tables, sheets were not changed when requested (despite the hotel stating they are changed every three days for longer stays), and bottled water was not replenished regularly. In one instance, a personal toiletry item went missing. When we asked about it, the housekeeper could not provide an explanation. At checkout, management confirmed the item had been broken during cleaning, yet no compensation was proactively offered.||The breakfast was mediocre at best and severely overpriced. The food was basic—toast, eggs, breakfast meats—nothing that justified the price point. Service was also lacking; at one point, a waitress admitted she did not know where the toaster was when a guest asked for toasted bread.||The most disappointing experience was the New Year’s Eve dinner at Restaurant 2900, priced at 1,400 DKK per person. As long-term guests, we expected a more thoughtful and polished experience. Instead, we were seated in what felt like an overflow room with floor-to-ceiling windows that caused an uncomfortable cold draft. We were not offered water or the chance to order drinks until 30 minutes after being seated, and two drink orders eventually arrived incorrect. All dishes were simple, yet cold to the touch, suggesting they had been sitting before service. The steak course was particularly poor, arriving cold and inconsistently cooked across the table—some plates rare, others overcooked.||Throughout the stay, the issues were raised with front desk staff and on-site leadership on multiple occasions. No meaningful action was taken at the time. Only at checkout was 500 DKK offered as a goodwill gesture, which felt inadequate given the breadth and persistence of the issues.||While the Park Lane looks the part, it does not deliver on service, dining, or attention to detail. I cannot recommend this hotel and would strongly suggest exploring options in the city centre that offer a far better price-to-service ratio.
