Park Plaza Beijing Wangfujing

"Located in a commercial and shopping district minutes away from the Imperial Palace and Tiananmen Square, this hotel is "an easy walk to most anything you might be looking for." The contemporary decor is "clean, simple, and elegant, very pleasing to the eye," while guest rooms have warm neutral tones, floor-to-ceiling windows, and "all of the accoutrements of any hotel in Europe." Ooodle Restaurant serves up Asian noodles and northern Chinese dishes in a setting with wooden floors and high-backed leather seats. Head to Bloo Dining in the early evening for "an ample buffet" of international and Asian cuisine and views of Beijing’s skyline at sunset."

Great location, close to two subway lines. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds, and a breakfast selection with plenty of good choices. The large laundry room is very convenient, with multiple washing machines and dryers, plus a coffee machine — a thoughtful touch. The only downside was the air conditioning. It’s generally weak in the corridors, and in our first room it was faulty. When they couldn’t fix it, the staff kindly upgraded us to a suite, which we appreciated. I would happily stay here again if I visit Beijing in the future.

I had a pleasant stay at Park Plaza Wangfujing during my recent trip to Beijing. The hotel is clean, well-maintained, and conveniently located near major attractions and public transport, making it a great base for exploring the city. The staff were courteous and professional throughout my stay, and the room was comfortable and quiet. However, I did find the pricing to be on the higher side, especially considering that it is a 4-star property. While the amenities and service were good, they didn’t quite stand out in a way that justified the premium. That said, if location and cleanliness are your top priorities, this hotel is still a solid choice.

We had a great stay here for 6 nights as a family. Rooms were clean and spacious enough. Enjoyed the buffet breakfast, a simple but good enough selection. They even had a clown visiting during the Sunday breakfast. Service was really good and friendly both reception and concierge. Room service was efficient. We would come back to stay again if revisiting Beijing.

We feel so fortunate that we made a last-minute decision to stay at Park Plaza Beijing Wangfujing during our time in the city. The hotel staff were absolutely wonderful and welcoming. A special thank you to Kevin Li, who showed incredible empathy and support while we were stranded in Beijing due to the Air Canada strike. He reassured us that rooms would be available so we didn’t have to worry about finding another hotel, and he went above and beyond by helping us connect with Air Canada to rebook our return flight. His kindness and assistance made a very stressful situation much easier, and we are truly grateful.

Location was good, right in the heart of the city centre. This means that you’re (mostly) in rather close proximity to the attractions e.g. forbidden palace, and the malls; but it also means that the area is prone to traffic jams - so do factor this into your travelling plans if you intend to take taxis / Didi around (as I did). Housekeeping was fine, no complaints. The star of the stay was definitely the concierge desk, which was extremely helpful. In particular, Yuelong Wang and another gentlemen with the last name Jia (apologies if I got his last name wrong). They was fantastic - from answering our queries about how to get around, how much time to buffer for traffic jams (which are pretty common), where to go, what kinds of souvenirs to get etc.; to collecting and holding our parcels and deliveries and safekeeping them. They were also extremely attentive - when we were out of the hotel, they held our parcels at the desk; whereas when we returned to the hotel (and they noticed when we returned), they automatically sent up the parcels to our rooms without us having to request for it. Service was generally also great. I told the front desk that I would be arriving early, and they let me check in at 12pm instead of the usual 3pm; they also allowed a slightly later checkout when I informed them our flight was later in the day. Would not hesitate to recommend Park Plaza, and to stay here again in the future. Special mention again to the concierge desk, which made this stay much more enjoyable.

The hotel is situated in a good upscale area, next to some malls and a garden. The lobby is quite nice when i enter but the room felt abit old. My aircon was leaking but thankfully it wasn't hot. I had to check out early that morning but had a very late flight. The front reception was kind enough to provide me a place to shower (at the gym) before my flight which was appreciated.

A big hotel with all the facilities you need. Location is good, just behind the Dengshikou train station, about 3 mins walk. The hotel is more towards the older design, not modern, however it is very well maintained. Rooms are specious and i like the shower in the bathtub. Laundry services provided at free of charge but during peak period, you may need to wait for your turn. Overall, satisfied with the stay.

Excellent hotel to stay in Beijing! The room is clean and comfortable and the service is great! There is a laundry room to do your washings for free! It's super convenient! We've only had the breakfast buffet, which was good, but they also serve dinner. For the cigar afficionado like my hubby, there is a well stocked cigar shop in the lobby with a knowledgeable and helpful salesperson. Highly recommended for staying in Beijing with less than 10 minutes walk to Wang Fu Jing.
