"Located on Lake Superior, the largest freshwater lake in the world, Park Point Beach is the world's longest freshwater sandbar. The beautiful beach and its waves have the feel of an ocean locale. It offers great views of Duluth and Lake Superior and is known for its spectacular sunrises. A nearby playground, barbecue grills, and a ball field are all popular with visitors. Leashed dogs are also welcome." - Travel + Leisure Editors
It is a great family favorite. It is a nice free beach with restrooms and lifeguards. There is a large free parking lot and a small park too.
We love to come here with the kids. It is possible to walk the entire beach. But don't have too many plans. It takes about 3 hours walk one way.

Rated one of the best beaches in the country for a reason. With beautiful soft sand and excellent views of the lake, this beach is a must visit year-round.

This sets the tone of your Northern experience. For the North Shore this is as good as it gets. Sunny days are better because there are not many of these around here.

Great spot to enjoy Lake Superior! Be very careful entering the beach areas because there is poison ivy in certain areas(mainly next to the entrance by the parking lot). They have warning signs and some of the areas are blocked off but it’s very easy to accidentally brush up against it.

This beach is listed as one of the USA’s top 25 beaches for a reason! It is the world’s longest sandbar, and you can wade out really far. The water is crystal clear, there are bathrooms in the beach house, and there are lifeguards. My family goes to this beach as much as we can in the summer.

Beautiful, peaceful, free, not crowded, parking is easy, the water is safe, very close to perfect. It's not the place to go if you want to catch waves, and the water is cold, but I don't feel like docking a star for that. All in all, it's a wonderful beach to relax on.

One of the jewels of visiting Duluth is this amazing beach and park. One of the highlights of our trip. Amazing rock finds from Lake Superiors volcanic past. Park has porta potties, the fixed bathrooms were closed.

A gorgeous and easily accessible spot to enjoy the beauty of Lake Superior. Go for a swim, picnic on the sand, and/or just take in the sights and sounds.
