Parkhotel Flora

Exceeded all expectations. Wonderful, friendly, kind and very helpful staff, delicious dinner and breakfast and our 2x rooms (1 room with balcony and 1 junior suite) were spotlessly clean and traditionally furnished. The gardens and outdoor pool are beautifully maintained and the hotel is perfectly positioned for excellent walking and cycling, and the station is a 5 minute walk away. For families, there is a fantastic youth centre on the hill by the hotel with two huge tyre slides, a playground and other facilities with a super venue serving hot dogs, other food and drinks. Seems to mostly be open only during local school holidays. Would highly recommend Parkhotel Flora and we hope to go back again one day.

We spent five nights in this hotel. Very calm, located in the lovely surroundings of Schluchsee in the Black Forest. Room with a small balcony facing the garden, big bathroom and a nice wardrobe. We did not appreciate the fact that the bathroom and the toilet do not have real wall to wall doors, so not much privacy. Breakfast was excellent, with a good selection of almost everything you can think of. Free coffee/tea and cake in the afternoon was much appreciated. Dinner is a 5 menu course (starter, soup, salad bar, choice between meat, fish and vegetarian for the main course, cheese or desert in the end) which we felt was too much, so we usually took only 3 out of 5 courses. We didn't really like the food, but I guess that is very personal as we read many positive comments about dinner here. The tables in the restaurant are dressed with care and we were impressed with the professionalism of the staff. The hotel has a very nice terrace where you can sit and have a drink, a small outside pool and one inside pool as well. Parking is also available free of charge. Most of the guests come from Germany, Swiss, Netherlands. With some exceptions, staff speaks English as well and some even French. The information center is just 5 min away from the hotel and you can find some info in English as well. The area offers a lot of opportunities for hiking lovers.

We stayed for 3 nights on a motorcycle tour and received a warm welcome and were shown to our room. This was a ground floor double with a private terrace leading onto the garden. The terrace had loungers, chairs and a table.||The room was excellent with a very good bathroom and a seating area.||The evening meal was excellent, up to 6 courses. The menu was translated for us without asking. There was an afternoon snack of cakes including a free coffee.||Breakfast was also excellent including everything you could desire.||There were indoor and outdoor swimming pools.||It was a pleasant walk down to the lake or into the village.||We would recommend the hotel and hope to visit again in the future.

Schluchsee is in itself an extremely beautiful spot. Friendly mountains with an endless number of challenges for hikers and nature-lovers.||Hotel Flora is nicely situated - elevated from the lake - at the edge of the picturesque town. The atmosphere - from the moment you enter - is friendly, welcoming and focused on meeting the needs of the clients. Our room was spacious, with elegant bathroom - and with a balcony to the relaxing garden in direction south. ||Food in general was excellent - with a reasonable number of quality choices at breakfast and salad-buffet. The "Schlemmer-menu" (5 courses) elegantly prepared in the evening at a high level of quality.||The dining-room seems huge at first sighting - and (in opposition to many modern restaurants with tables so close that you have to listen to the dubious opinions of the neighbour) the tabels in Flora give so much space that it is possible to enjoy the dinner in privacy. We appreciate that. ||The service and client-oriented attitude of the restaurant staff was outstanding. ||My wife and I stayed at Parkhotel Flora for two nights. Our concern was to enjoy a quality hotel - and to do hiking in the surrounding mountains.||The possibilities for this are excellent - with Flora as the expedition center. The hotel offers a high standard map of all the hiking pathways around Schluchsee. We did some excellent hikes - although we were caught to some degree in the remaining snow in the higher altitudes.||We enjoyed our stay in Parkhotel Flora very much (month of March) - and will look forward to return in a milder period of the year.

The hotel has great service and lovely facilities. Staff was super attentive, friendly and knowledgable. Our suite was spacious and nice with great outsoor space. The outdoor pool and garden were well maintained and comfortable.

We stayed here for 5 nights with our 2 daughters (18 and10) and had a fabulous time. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the food was absolutely first rate. There was plenty to do in the area and some lovely scenery. The hotel setting is great with wonderful views and the rooms are large and comfortable. We all enjoyed using the swimming pools and the hotel bikes. We do hope to return.

This is a family run hotel in Schluchsee with all necessary amenities to make this an ideal place for vacation with the family. Rooms are spacious and clean, the restaurant offers very good dinner menus and childrens menus, very good and varied breakfast bugffet. The swimming pool and wellness area are both very good. Service is very friendly. Our seven year old daughter loves the place - and we've been several times... Close to the Lake, many opportunities for hikes in the area.

Very beautiful hotel. All the Black Forest region is wonderful and here it's no exception! The staff is extremely kind and welcoming. They were readily available via Booking.com and they speak English and French extremely well (and German, of course). My mother was sick after our roadtrip and they were more than accomodating regarding room service, since she wasn't feeling well to go to dinner. The breakfast is from 7h30-10h30, there is cake and coffee from 14h30-16h30 and dinner is served from 18h00-20h00 (at the time of our stay, during this long weekend in June). The suite is like an appartement: is huge, well decorated, warm and cosy, and the balcony is also great. The outdoor and indoor pools are also amazing, especially the exterior one as you have a beautiful view of the forest. The gardens are also very pretty with perfect flowers and a lot of greenery all around you. It's a 15 minutes walk to the lake. It's highly recommended, and we will definitely be coming back.
