Parkhotel Schoenegg

This was our second time staying at Parkhotel Schoenegg, and once again, we had a wonderful time. Thank you to the hotel for arranging a room with a terrace and a fantastic view – it truly made our stay special. We felt warmly welcomed back. During our stay, the evenings were quite cold, and we really appreciated the kind lady at the front desk who helped us get an electric heater – thank you so much for that! The restaurant team was energetic and friendly, creating a cozy and homelike atmosphere every time we dined. It always felt comfortable and welcoming. We will definitely come back again!

The hotel is at the quieter end of the main street, near a bus stop, with its own grounds. Pleasant stroll from the station if no luggage. It has a traditional feel with modern conveniences. The rooms are bright and spacious, very comfortable beds (including the extra bed), clean bathrooms. The breakfast had good options, a big dining area and a fantastic view. All staff we encountered were warm and very helpful, from our reservation to our arrival, stay, and departure. The free shuttle to and from Grindelwald station, board games in the lounge area, and the little jam giveaways at checkout were nice touches for guests. Special thanks to Manuel, Lydia, Nicole, Lucas, and the whole team for giving us such a memorable stay!

We had a Mountain View room which was spectacular! Everything was clean and functional. The hosts were super friendly and answered all of the questions by us first timers. The location was perfect, in the heart of the town and literally a few steps from the First gondola. The breakfast was great, offering a nice variety of hot dishes, fruit, meats, and croissants. The parking was a super nice perk in a very tight area. We didn’t use the other hotel facilities because whenever we were there, all we wanted to do was sit on our balcony and look at the incredible mountains surrounding us.

This hotel is lovely. The staff was kind and considerate and helped us with every question we had. We stayed in room 360 (family of 4 - two teenagers) and the room was spacious. Cute little balcony seating that provided a view of the town. The breakfast is no joke!!! So many choices and coffee bar. Very delicious 😋 The room was clean. The bottom sheets could use an upgrade in softness, but wasn't going to take away a star.

Wonderful hotel option in Grindelwald! The entire staff was amazing with their service and recommendations. Excellent breakfast buffet is included with the room. We had fantastic a fantastic view of the mountains from our balcony. We also took advantage of the sauna and cold plunge after a long day of hiking. Location is a very quick walk to the First Gondola, and easy walking distance to some of the better restaurants in town. Would stay here again!

This beautiful hotel is located right in the middle of everything in Grindelwald. Two most valuable things to note is exceptional customer service and really really delicious food. Aaaand also the views!!! The views are priceless. The hotel has a really nice sauna (with a cold plunge!) A large swimming pool also with that amazing view and large hot tub. It's a lovely place. The restaurant crew deserve a whole separate post. An owner makes sure to attend and find out if everything is good and you are happy there. No cons, only pros here. :)

We had a wonderful 11N stay in March 25 where we felt like we were treated as part of the family that owns this hotel. Good quality facilities and a great half board option that provided different meals for the whole time we stayed. A great location close to transport and/or gondolas as required. Love to return one day

From being met by the Hotel minibus at the rail station onwards we were made to feel very welcome and were extremely well looked after. Reception was quick and friendly, my room was spotlessly clean and welcoming with terrific mountain views from the balcony. The lounge was comfortable, new chairs, the dining room was lovely and the food - both the amazing buffet breakfasts - everything you could ever want hot or cold - and the beautifully cooked and presented five course dinners were exceptional. |Special credit to Manuel and his amazing team - Vrisela, Lydia, Christos and Allen - who looked after us in the dining room and lounge. I'll be back next year as soon as I can

There were many options for hotels in Grindlewald and I'm very happy we chose this hotel! The view was unbelievable from our room. We had a huge patio on the 1st floor(floor above ground floor). The room was very spacious, with multiple table/seating areas. The bed was pretty comfy. The front desk lady was so sweet. We received two drink vouchers for the restaurant within the hotel. We never used them since there were so many restaurants to choose on the Main Street. This hotel was about a 9 minute walk from the train station and about a 1-3 minute walk to Grindlewald First Top of Adventure. We also had breakfast here and the offerings were very good. They had eggs, delicious bacon, and an assortment of bread. The lady at the front desk arranged a shuttle to take us to the train station the morning we left. We will definitely come back and stay here again!

4.5 Stars if I could. Pretty good location, kind of between the main parts of town. Close enough to everything yet quiet. First Mountain cable car is maybe a 1 minute walk away. Great Mountain views from the rooms on the front side of the hotel and the patio. Nice breakfast every morning - a mix of European and America style. We only had dinner there one night - a pretty good multi-course fixed menu for 30 CHF, which is pretty reasonable for the area. Very friendly and helpful staff throughout the hotel. What would have to change for a 5 star rating? Better parking, slightly larger rooms, more electrical outlets, and better towels - all pretty minor things.
