"Parkleigh’s ambiance is a treat in itself. You’ll see exposed brick archways, hardwood floors, original tin ceilings, eye-catching window displays, and murals painted by local artists. Go all the way to the back to the specialty food department and stop for a sample from their wide variety of coffees and teas. Parkleigh also features affordable luxuries and trendy merchandise. Leave with the satisfaction that you just shopped at “Rochester’s Best Place to Find a Unique Gift”." - Leah Garlock

Parkleigh is an absolute gem in Rochester. I came in looking for something special for someone incredibly important to me, and the entire experience was perfect from start to finish. The staff were kind, helpful, and genuinely interested in helping me find the right gift. The selection is unique, thoughtful, and beautifully curated—you can tell this place puts care into every item they carry. Whether you’re shopping for a meaningful occasion or just treating yourself, Parkleigh is the place to go. I left with a beautiful necklace and card that felt exactly right. Can’t recommend them enough.

So I had been in Rochester, NY for work for 3 weeks and I saw this small gift shop... I had wanted to go here but kept going to other places but I definitely recommend anyone who is visiting the area to definitely visit this place for some of the most unique gifts I have ever seen... And some of the cutest cards I have ever seen as well!!! For all types of occasions!!!

The store itself is really cute. There are a ton of unique items and a wide variety of things. My complaint and the reason I would NEVER go back is the treatment by multiple employees. I went in with my daughters (grown daughters 24,28) and we felt like we were being watched the whole time as if we were trying to steal something. The person at the jewelry counter (E Newton) actually said to me and a couple older woman "please don't steal anything because that would suck" It was a very uncomfortable experience and made us walk out without purchasing anything at all.

You'll find gifts here, just for yourself or others too. Beauty, chocolate, cards, baby gifts. jewelry, you'll find the most unique fun things here!

Parkleigh is a lovely Boutique. This beautifully displayed and stocked store is full of gift ideas, Treasures, skin care and so much more. Wander from room to room in what is a much bigger space than you can tell from outside. If you're looking for a specialty gift or something to pamper yourself with this Pleasant spot is a great stop to Simply browse and enjoy. The staff was friendly and helpful and offered a sample of their delicious banana coffee which was like banana bread in a coffee form. Definitely recommend shopping here for a unique and pleasant experience.

A wall of Jellycat makes an hour drive so worthy! They also had fresh roasted coffee beans, homemade pepper sauce, and many many cute stuff… way beyond expectations. Feel cured. My first google comment gives to this store with 5 out of 5 stars!

Google
I loved all the things they sell in this shop. I’ve got a couple of souvenirs from Rochester there. There’s plenty of options for present, like food and like curiosities.

I love this store! There’s so much to see and there’re yummy treats!

Yelp
Love this little corner of heaven on Park Avenue. It is one of the only places you can purchase Hawaiian Kona coffee at all, much less whatever amount you want. They then package your purchase artfully and the coffee manager has the most beautiful handwriting so we use the labels on our home airtight ones. There is a delightfully eclectic mix of personal care lotions and potions and who knows what, there are many cute pairs of socks, gourmet condiments and meal starters (like chili), a wall of coffee beyond Kona, cute jewelry, fancy pens, a whole chocolate truffle bar, greeting cards for occasions I didn't even know were occasions, and almost innumerable other items that you didn't even know were things, but must now have. Variegated merchandise notwithstanding, the very best part of Parkleigh is its friendly, helpful, good-natured, extremely intelligent, accepting, and kind staff. They treat you like your presence made their day entire. Whimsical also; I bought a pair of socks with the Kanigawa wave print on them (I love that) and a beautiful and witty concierge asked me if I wanted it wrapped up. Of course I do! She then asked if I wanted little metal holiday bells added to the gift package! Because I'm 60 going on 8 years old OF COURSE I did. I would recommend this place highly for any purpose you might find to go to a gift store.

Yelp
A go- to store in Rochester for many years located in a lovely residential neighborhood. So many unique, delightful and high quality items. Superior customer service. It's fun just to walk down the aisles , check out jewelry, body care products, greeting cards, housewares, clothing, gourmet chocolates and food. This business has a long history of supporting community institutions and events. It stands as an emblem of why we should support our small businesses.

Yelp
For the past couple years I have kept driving past this place. I don't know why. But today, something was different. I stopped and I am so glad I did. It was a customer appreciation event where everyone received 30 percent off their highest priced item. I had no idea about this until I got up to the register. If you leave empty handed from this store, it is your own fault. They have greeting cards, a really cool mix and different ones I have never seen like a snow globe style, and a message in a bottle, etc., they have Vera Bradley, socks, candles, bath products, clothing, jewelry, candy. They have such unique and cool things I haven't seen anywhere else. There is so much to look at and products are in every nook and cranny. If you have someone hard to buy for on your list, stop here. You'll find something pretty awesome.

Yelp
There's nothing better than a stop at Parkleigh when walking Park! I used to love quite nearby and having Parkleigh in the corner made host gifts, House warming gifts, and stationary needs a true cinch. I miss living so close by and am always making up excuses to stop there anytime I'm on Park for brunch or a meeting. Some of my favorite things they carry include: 1) super fun socks! They make for wonderful gifts since they're so varied and there's something for everyone. 2) Journals, agendas, stationary, and writing implements. My favorite pens ever are from here! 3) greeting cards & chocolate - I can kill some serious time in this area of the store. 4) Cosmetics, lotions, and beard balm. More great gift fuel and always a way to treat yourself to something small if in need of a pick me up. If you're in need of a quick gift and a guarantee you'll find something unique for someone, Parkleigh is where I recommend!

Yelp
This store is still a best kept secret! Going into this store is like going into the wardrobe, in the book, The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe! You definitely loose all sense of time, become enchanted, and have a complete magical experience! This is THE store for unique, high quality errrvythang*!!! There is something for EVERYONE in this store. This store is now a permanent fixture on any of my gift wishlists, as well as my go to store, for buying gifts, and shopping for myself!!! The customer service is great from entrance to exit. I wish I would've took pics of everything I bought. I went in to buy some unique birthday cards, and X amount of dollars, gifts, bags later... Lastly, I am receiving compliments & praise for everything I purchased for myself & friends and family. Special shout out to Ann in jewelry! Ann was very helpful, funny, & pleasant to talk too.

Kenya M.

Yelp
This may not be intuitive, but I go to Parkleigh mostly for my flavored coffee beans and loose tea. Ridiculous, I know. They also have so many cute novelty things that you didn't know you needed. Theoretically, this is a gift show. However, all the stuff I buy is for me. Except the chocolate. Sometimes, I buy Hubbo a fancy chocolate shaped like an animal to distract him from the other stuff in the bag. :) That's a protip.

Kelly S.

Yelp
I really like the this place, so many fun unique things to buy here! Parking available on the street or better yet there is a small lot behind the store with some really cool paintings on the buildings! The store is really large, with different sections of things such as jewelry, greeting cards, toys and Rochester gifts. One of my favorite areas is in the back, a selection of whole bean coffee in these huge open barrels... the smell alone is amazing!! I could live in this room forever! There is also a wall of local food items...BBQ sauce, olive oil, pasta, sauce...love that they are supporting local homegrown business. There are so many fun gift ideas here, i was laughing so much at the crazy unique things here... wide variety of greeting cards! Since there are so many things to look at, give yourself some time to check it all out.

Nae S.

Yelp
Very cute little store. Definitely a good place to stop in and have a look around.!!!!

Samantha O.

Yelp
How have I not reviewed Parkleigh before? On top of being an amazing place to buy gifts, they also have their own little shop that Sells mackenzie childs and kate spade items which is wonderful! They do an amazing job at gift wrapping. They also have the cutest reusable totes now. You can find vera bradley items, kiehls, blue sky, and pretty much presents for anyone, ages newborn to 99. They have funny items, serious items, goofy cards, jewelry, socks, aprons, you name it. It's a little more upscale and I always end up buying myself a couple knickknacks. This trip, it was a diego rivera coloring book.

Yelp
Stopped in Sunday for a little shopping, as my friend and I are were done with breakfast across the street. Store is fun, lots of neat, weird stuff. Plenty of cards, novelty gifts, and candies. Selection is pretty good, and staff were courteous to us. Can be a little pricey, but plenty of bargains as well. If you're looking for cool, different gifts, or candies you don't normally find at big box stores, check out this shop, you should be able to find something. Plan to spend about 15-20 minutes just looking and have fun. I will stop in again next time I am in the area.

Kaleigh E.

Yelp
I really enjoy going to Parkleigh when I'm shopping for gifts because they literally have something for everyone. From crazy socks (literally, novelty socks at every turn), to funny stationery, to gourmet chocolates, to fresh-ground coffee and seasonal goodies, Parkleigh is a treasure trove of thoughtful, fun items. There are even some unique Rochester and New York themed goods here that I've not seen anywhere else. My only negative about Parkleigh is that it gets BUSY. The store is so jam-packed that it's hard to see everything and navigate swarms of customers. Parkleigh does have its own parking lot, but it's fairly small and is usually full if you go during a busy time. If you need to go gift-shopping, you are guaranteed to find something great in here! I dare you not to buy anything for yourself! :)

Yelp
Parkleigh is a wonderful, classy gift store. Whenever I find myself in need of a quick gift for a friend or loved one, I try to stop here. Awesome cards, jewelry, clothing, toys, paper products, face and body products, candy, coffee and specialty food items, and quirky gifts you've never seen anywhere else. They have a great eye for high quality, stylish, and unique goods. On my most recent visit, I was shopping for a baby gift for a 1 year old. There were so many nice options it was actually hard to pick! I ended up purchasing a high quality toddler dining set (that suctions to surfaces!), a cute soft board book, and of course a card. The ladies working there wrapped it up in a box for me with a ribbon, and I was good to go! Also, they happened to be giving out free bananas that day, which was an added bonus! Only downside to Parkleigh is that it is a little pricey... but not enough to negate a star for. The convenience factor (not having to go to the mall!) and extremely pleasant shopping experience they provide makes shopping there worth it to me. Check them out when you need a gift, or just want to treat yo'self! Shop local!

Yelp
I usually don't write reviews for stores but I took so many pictures, I felt like I owed it to the store! Anyways, you could drop me off one morning in this store and leave me here for the entire day, and I still would probably not have gone through the entire thing. LOVE LOVE LOVE how much they have to buy. There are so many cute bags, they have cute wallets cute cards, funny gag gifts, calendars, stationary, bathroom incense, candles, lotions, creams, face wash, chapstick, make-up, camping supplies, clothes, tea, coffee, jewelry , books, cook books, cooking supplies, candy, ANYTHING! Looking around is just so much fun and I love how they keep everything so clean and neat. The only downside to this place are those very very high prices! I think the mark up is ridiculous on some of the items, but I do really love just browsing around and seeing all their cool nifty items. I also bought a chocolate from the middle section where they have all the chocolates. I didn't like it and I thought it was way overpriced. Recommend staying away and just getting the other things in the shoppe. I loved the coffee sampling station! It was such a good idea to have that and the man who gave out the samples was so nice and helpful! He was even able to get 1/4 lb of coffee and I didn't have to pay for the 1/2 lb. It's so nice when they go out of their way to do that. I can't wait to come back to visit again !

Yelp
This store is a must visit every time I was home over the past 20+ years and have had a wonderful experience every time. I moved back to the area about a month ago and finally had time to stop by this weekend. Of the several items I purchased I found 2 of them to be unacceptable enough to return (which was a first!). 1 was a Mackenzie - Childs letter mug, which was wrapped, not had painted and stunk and the other was a Crystal sun catcher that said it contained an amethyst but there was not one to be found. When I went to return the items it was almost like I was bothering the manager that did the return. She explained normally I can't return a MC item when the MC store is closed (due to lack of staff). The way I see it, it's all under the umbrella of Parkleigh (as makes on the doors) and as a way to still maintain cohesiveness in the customer experience, should allow returns in either location of any product w/o a lecture of when I can and can not return an item. Anyway, the vibe was not good; totally diff from my visit in April, which was amazing. On the fence about returning and leaning heavily towards not.

Nanette L.

Yelp
I love that staff is wearing masks. Hand sanitizer throughout the store for your use. You'll spend hrs here shopping and looking at all the beautiful items. The coffee wall is great for the coffee lover and if Vera Bradley is your bag then your at the right place. Don't pass by the chocolate counter for a special treat ! Plenty of parking in their lot also. Enjoy your shopping experience at Patkleigh!

Yelp
I have been a customer of Parkleigh since the 80s, when they (in my childhood memories) were a purveyor of my two faves in life: stickers and candy. I can remember visiting friends with my mother in the Park Ave area, and walking from their house to Parkleigh to pick out a treat. My doctor's office was also right around the corner and we would always stop in there after visits for a treat (I might have been spoiled). As I got older, driving into the city to visit Parkleigh to shop felt like a world away from where I lived - I loved how packed the shelves were with beautiful things and how colorful the whole store was - and it became my go-to for gifts, cards, kitchen accessories, etc. After moving away and returning to Rochester, it was one of the first places I went to visit, and introduce my husband to. And now, on our daily walks around the Park Ave area, we usually stop in to sample coffee, look around, and yes, pick up a treat! If you haven't been to Parkleigh before, I would say it is one of the best reasons to make a trip into the city. They have expanded to a second store across the street, so now there is even more to see and browse. You can find cards for any occasion, jewelry, socks, soaps, perfume, makeup, clothing, baby gifts, chocolates, stationary, wrapping paper, frames, coffee, kitchen and cooking stuff, wind chimes, and so much more. It is truly a cornucopia of cute and cool stuff! Couple other tips: There is a private parking lot and additional parking on the street (free). If you become a regular shopper there, they have lots of loyalty stuff including Parkleigh 'dollars' you can qualify for during certain times of the year/promotions; they are also always changing the window displays and getting in new things, and it is rare that I walk in there and feel like I have already seen everything. It is also locally owned and not part of a chain, and I love that they have been around for decades despite the changing face of our city throughout all those years. I highly recommend Parkleigh, especially for holiday shopping!

Brittany R.

Yelp
I really love Parkleigh. Quick tip: there is a parking lot so that you do not have to worry about finding parking on Park. There is a wide array of stuff here, and some of my favorite items come from here from various vendors. You can find everything from Spartina (the maker of my favorite Great Lakes Wallet) to Vera Bradley, a wide variety of cards and chocolate, and if you're pressed for a gift, Parkleigh is really the place to go. My only minor ding is that sometimes I do not know exactly where everything is, or really, why they chose everything. It isn't quite as individually curated as some of the other stores, but that might be someone else's main reason to go there.

Anna S.

Yelp
What a neat store! I had walked my dog by here a million times, and despite her desire to visit I had not been in yet. Sans pooch but with girlfriend in tow, I returned to finally explore on a day off. This place has a TON to offer... it's almost overwhelming! With Christmas coming faster than I'd like to admit this is a welcome boon. I already noted a few things. First thing we saw was a lot of soaps and nice bathroom stuff... then came socks, chocolates, coffee, jars of tasty things, cooking tools, oddball gifts, masks, candles, mugs, cards... think Hallmark store but with more and better variety. The chocolate case held my gaze for quite a while. My girlfriend pointed out one of her favorites... I quietly noted it for future purchase. I definitely need to try some someday. If you like socks you HAVE to stop here. They have so many funny, cute, ridiculous socks. They do have a small lot for parking, which is a commodity on Park Ave. Not sure if they have a public restroom but I doubt it. We just browsed, didn't buy, so I can't say anything about the customer service. Need a gift? Check this place out for sure!

Marqus R.

Yelp
I stop by Parkleigh every time I'm in Rochester. When it comes to cards, candies and a unique variety of gifts Parkleigh can't be beat. It's also clean with everything arrange in good order, just perfect for browsing out gift items. Their gift items extend from the useful to the novelty, and just browsing them out can be enjoyable. The staff is also very good, up to date and informative about everything, so if you have a question, need some help or want some good suggestion on what to purchase, all you need do is ask. I managed to find some various kitchen items for gifts which were not only of top quality but of a unique type and design I had never seen before and have never seen since. Indeed, Parkleigh seems to specialize in having items you won't find elsewhere.

calvin c.

Yelp
Typically enjoy gift shopping here. There is a wide range of eclectic items that you can be fairly certain to find an unusual gift for most everyone. At the very least, you can get a very nice card and excellent chocolate.... but there are handbags, coffee, beauty products, etc. Parking is not great in the lot. At least there is a lot - street parking is almost impossible. As a side note, it's not cheap. I think there may be a slight markup compared to getting items off, say, Amazon or Wegmans (I'm looking at the food items)...

Sarah L.

Yelp
I really enjoy this store. It's the first place I want to visit when I come to Rochester. It's relatively expensive, but they have fantastic cards and super unique items. I always like to come in here even if it's just to look around.

Katie M.

Yelp
Parkleigh is the BEST one stop shop for gifts for others or treats for yourself. From gourmet chocolates and candies to beautiful jewelry and bags this is the place to come. I stopped in Saturday night and although it was busy it was great to see so many people out supporting this business for their holiday gifts! They have samples of many lotions, perfumes etc. to try before you buy, also there was 3 different types of coffee out for sampling! The employees are always happy to help and there's plenty of them around in each "department" of the store. There's sauces, jams and foods from local sources which are always so delicious. You can easily be in and out and have something for someone. I highly recommend stopping in, even just to browse is so much fun! Prices range from the cheaper end to high end so it's nice there's something for everyone.

PJ C.

Yelp
Great place for card shopping and a nice selection of high end chocolates. Some fun, goofy gift items here but I liked it better when they had more of this and less of the clothing, handbags, etc. This place is now more geared to the female shopper.

Sweta K.

Yelp
Perfect place to find someone (more for females) a card, buy some chocolate, or browse other selections for gifts! Great variety and always updating their merchandise to fit the season. Can be expensive but this is my go-to place to browse for gifts!

Jen R.

Yelp
I've been here enough times and I thought in all honesty I wrote a review. My mistake... Ok I found this place when we were here on a visit in November 2014. I thought it was great. Lots of fabulous greeting cards for ALL OCCASIONS NO JOKE! Candles, all sorts of lotions and potions. Mugs, Coffee, cookbooks, jewelry, handbags, candy... Ornaments OMG so much stuff and they also opened a "part two" across the street. I'm lucky to have this place in walking distance. If I need a card, small gift or whatever they will pretty much have it. Lovely locally made things with other things.. If you can't find something here you are pretty silly. Granted certain things are a little pricy but somethings are just perfect. Join their list and they will email you their monthly schedule and you get discounts too. Go visit and support local!

Sarah L.

Yelp
First, do yourself a favor and spoil yourself with some of the fancy chocolate in the cases. You'll thank me. Then, commence shopping. I love the random items they have. Some items can be on the pricey side, but it all in what you are looking for. They have some of the most unique, hilarious, high end, artistic items. Something for everyone. I end up having to take a few laps because there is so much to look at, oh did I mention the tea and coffee section? TO DIE FOR. This is my go place when I'm looking for a gift for a female friend or family member. I love the sections to the sides where they have the fun office items, and off the wall humorous items. My favorite thing is to load up on lots of little goodies for gifts. I've put together a nice selection for under $35. Or if you really want to spoil someone, I've purchase some beautiful Jewelry pieces, or house items. There is something for everyone. The staff is very helpful and cheery as well. The holiday season does not disappoint in the Crabtree and Evelyn line. The best part is, they will happily gift wrap your items in a beautiful box with lots of swirly golden ribbon.

Laura S.

Yelp
How can you not love a Rochester institution! My husband has been purchasing me gifts here since we were dating a very long time ago! So many wonderful items, teas, coffees, chocolate, lotions of every kind and cards! We love the kitchen gadget section and always find something really interesting - last time was a tea infuser shaped like a monkey! The jewelry is lovely! Worth a visit!

Angela H.

Yelp
Excited to bring family from Boston to the shop to get gifts for family members that did not travel to Rochester this time. We shopped for about 40 mins. My family member who is white roamed the store and looked in every nook. I was close, but not with my family member and was followed throughout the store by a young worker. Every time I looked up she was staring at me throughout my visit. I use to frequent the store and purchase all my gifts from Parkleigh. I will no longer support them financially or through referrals which I have also done in the past.

Trisha W.

Yelp
I like all of the cool things in parkleigh! Fun place to find gifts and stuff for yourself ofcoarse. I have purchased a lot there over the last few years. My complaint is that today I went in with my mother and sister, their first time. My sister went up to the chocolate counter to pick a few out. There was two employees behind the counter and they looked at her and ignored her. There was no other guest they were helping. The two employees stood talking to one another. My sister waited a bit and got nothing so we left. Just frustrating that I wanted to show my family a cool shop and they were dissapointed.

Danielle R.

Yelp
Such a cute gift shop in just the right place! They are pretty large and carry a good amount of options for everyone in your life. When I came here I started looking through the cards available which is like a rabbit hole for me. They have so many amazing options they I will probably start to always get cards from here. They have a great chocolate case in the middle of the shop so have some yummy sweets because sometimes you just have to treat yourself. They carry a lot of well known brands like Lily Pulitzer, Vera Bradley, Mackenzie Childs and some not well known brands. They have items for every budget and it is always a win on this store. Overall, a great little gift shop at the corner of park and Goodman and they have their own parking lot!! An amazing place to buy for yourself or your best friend!

Lauren R.

Yelp
This is a Rochester staple. I have great memories of going here with my great aunt on days out for lunch, tea, and shopping! There are so many awesome items at Parkleigh. I never leave empty handed...and usually with one or two items i didn't plan on getting but couldn't live without. So many lovely and quirky items!! #YelpShopsLocal

Ebbie P.

Yelp
How in the world did I not ever visited this place before? The ultimate Gift Shop and spoiling one self store! I was really impressed with the stationary selection and novelty items. They seem to carry a lot of themes, many are humorous. I suggest that you shop for your boss or coworker with ease on any budget. There is always something that will put a smile to any face! I really loved the novelty items in the back for dining and kitchen ware. I am a fan of Fred products both for personal use and gifting. I tend to stick to stores like Home Goods for these and was surprised, and yet not, to see they were carried here. Naturally I was very giddy! For some reason I always thought of this place to be more of a mature nature. I am so happy to be proven so wrong. For goodness sakes, they carry Poo-Pourri! I thought this stuff was a myth! SRSLY, there are a few pple in my office building that can benefit from this. Skip the mall. Forget Barnes & Noble. Get your gifts here!

Hope T.

Yelp
This is my favorite boutique in Rochester.I wish I could buy everything in the store! It's also my one-stop-shop for Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers. The staff is amazingly helpful as well! Today, a girl named Kristen helped me find some perfect jewelry for my best friend. She listened to my needs and understood perfectly and pointed me in the right direction. I. Love. This. Store.

Vanessa W.

Yelp
I went in here after a friend suggested it. This is one HUGE gift shop chock full of gifts, cards and funky little tidbits. They have home goods, useful things and stuff you didn't know you wanted. Large selection of Vera Bradly. They must do swift business bc the place was PACKED on a Saturday morning - phone ringing off the hook. They can handle it though with specialized sales clerks for different areas who were easy to find. Complimentary gift wrapping and off street parking are nice perks. Go when you're looking for a little something different.

Lea H.

Yelp
Nice little shop but I forget it's here. Lots of gift ideas but it can be pricey! The staff is friendly and helpful. This is the spot to come to if you can't find a gift for someone anywhere else....

Gretchen K.

Yelp
I've visited Parkleigh ever since I was a little kid. I used to beg my mom for these hazelnut creme chocolates that came shaped like cone shells with gold foil wrapped around them. Unfortunately, they no longer carry those chocolates any more, but they did introduce me to my love of hazelnut chocolates. They carry a variety of items from playsets for young children, artisan jewelry, gourmet food items, and vast amount of Mackenzie Childs kitchenware. You are bound to find something for everyone here. Prices range from a few dollars to the more pricey artisanal pieces that are unique. I bought a dark chocolate peanut butter cup from the case to snack on and it was great! The chocolate was rich and tasted delicious with the creamy peanut butter in it and it was a large size. (It was the size of my fist!) Staff for the most part leave customers explore the shop on their own but they are happy to help assist customers with anything. I will be back to visit this shop.

Kristin B.

Yelp
Always a delight to the senses. This store has an eclectic variety of jewelry, candy, clothing, accessories, coffee, cards, toys, etc... It is a wonderful kind of store to find unique gifts for others and a great place to just browse for hours.

Muchoon M.

Yelp
The lady helping me out at Parkleigh that carries the Mackenzie-Childs collection was kind and helpful. They also have a wonderful collection!

Thu M.

Yelp
The cutest shop and my favorite things in the whole world: Gourmet chocolates Petite four cakes Stationary Girly skin care stuff YAY!!

Joe S.

Yelp
Parkleigh is a great little shop that has so many unique little trinkets and goodies! A lot of their products are aimed towards the women shoppers. Although for me I go there for High end beard products, freshly ground coffee, and so many candies & snacks. A little pricy but it's completely worth it!

Rachel R.

Yelp
Fantastic boutique with a lot of fun and unique products. They are a little pricey but they have a lot of different products and some stuff you can't get anywhere else. They used to have terrible customer service - very snooty and rude - but they have definitely improved over the past few years and now nearly everyone that works there is friendly and helpful. Go when you have the time to explore each different section of the store. Their store is laid out based on their merchandise so it's like several mini-stores all in one.

Yelp
This is a really fun and quirky store to check out! They have lots of local art available as well. I love exploring all the kitchy home items and picking up a package of chocolate covered gummy bears. They also have a vera bradley section that is well stocked! This place is a perfect spot to find that special gift for your loved ones.

Yelp
So much to look at here! They have everything a gift shop needs plus more. I could spend all day looking at their unique items. The other day they even had a coffee tasting. Staff is very nice and willing to help. Pricey here but worth it!

Yelp
I used to like shopping at this place. They do have an expansive array of cosmetic products (mama likey) and great little cards. Everything else is 1) far too expensive and 2) made to express a socially acceptable amount of funkiness. "Look at this crazy bag I picked up at Parkleigh. I know it's mass produced , but, it makes me feel so rebellious and unique." I always give it a look when I come home, but I try to stick to candy, cards and cosmetics.

Yelp
I was at Parkleigh on Saturday for Shop Local Saturday working on my holiday giving list. I found Thymes lotions for my mom, herbal tea for my MIL, local Keuka Coffee Roasters coffee and a locally made soup mix for my FIL, and a cool adult coloring book for my sister. Parkleigh has a great assortment of products. They gift wrapped all of my purchases and gave me free Vera Bradley perfume samples. They also had a person outside directly the parking which was nice because parking can be tough there. I would recommend Parkleigh if you are looking for interesting gifts to give this holiday season.

Yelp
We love Parkleigh and stop in regularly! However, just now, as we were walking out with our purchases, a mid-aged woman with curly dark hair questioned us. My daughter checked out and skipped the bag as she's doing her best to be environmentally conscious. On our way out the woman stopped my daughter saying "um can I see you're receipt", which is understandable if she was more polite but she was not. We told her that she wanted to save the paper and told her she could go ask the woman who checked us out while we waited. After she went over and confirmed we had paid, instead of apologizing and sending us on our way, she just nodded at us. We love the store but this customer service was unnecessary and rude.

Yelp
My all time favorite go to for gifts. Can't go to Rochester without stopping by here.

Yelp
Parkleigh is the perfect place to find unique gifts for birthdays, holidays, or just because. I always end up picking up a little something for myself too. I love how they're always changing up the stock so you can find something new in each visit - from quirky kitchen utensils to jewelry to the always funny knock knock products. During the holidays they usually have a promotion where you get "bucks" for purchases that you can use the last few days of the month. I usually end up treating myself to the diverse selection of chocolates by moonstruck and hedonist. They often have seasonal flavors that are unexpected and made into such cute animals or shapes...they're impossible to resist.

Yelp
I went into Parkleigh today to kill time before an engagement. I spent a LOT of time in the card section. They have a selection of cards that I could actually buy without the really lame birthday jokes, or a father's day card all about golf and ties...found some funny ones that didn't make me want to gauge my eyes out. They also have a lot of cards and postcards with gorgeous illustrations of Rochester on them. A lot of the stuff like Mackenzie Childs, Crabtree and Evelyn, Vera Bradley, etc. isn't my style but they have funny gag gifts and books too on the left when you first walk in. Lots of beautiful summer scarves are out now. Also a good selection of jewelry. The coffee shop section is mad cool. The barista/bean grinder man offered me a sample of the banana crème blend and it was delicioso. I would totally go back to Parkleigh to give someone a pound of their coffee-20+ blends to choose from. I like the staff here because they are friendly and helpful but not the kind that attacks as soon as you walk in the door, breathing down your neck making you feel like you have to buy something before you leave. Props.

Yelp
Such a great shop for gifts and cards. Always unique, funny and interesting things. Customer service is excellent! Yes, things there are upscale, trendy and sometimes a bit wild and outlandish. But if you want to see the same homogenous sterile crap over and over again, shop at a Hallmark for your Thomas Kinkade prints and Precious Moments figurines. If you want something out of the ordinary and unique - this is the place to go first.
